Amen brother, people shouldn't be allowed to easily replace an aging infotainment system in an otherwise good car to improve it's functionality.
Nah, just buy a new car as a high-yield investment if the tech is lacking.

People who make their money too easily don't, they upgrade spending $20K etc. for wireless carplay.I bought a car that didn't come with infotainment a while ago, original owner didn't wanna splash on it. Car works perfectly well and no way in hell am I spending thousands, or worse, going into debt for a car in this market. Spending a few hundred for Carplay/Android Auto is a no brainer if you really want the tech. this isn't really doing up your car. doing up is synonymous with upgrading brakes, adding a strut brace, tuning the engine, upgrading suspensions, installing a big wing & stickier tyres if you like tracking your car. These two are completely different things.

Needs DAB+ for that price. Still don’t get why this isn’t a standard feature in todays age.
I was looking at several headunits and most don't o DAB+ anymore. Store people say that a lot of people just use their phones for that (?)

Spotify and podcast do for meIn Melbourne listening to 774 abc radio on am while driving to work everyday next to trams, that will send anyone mad. Have had DAB+ for just on 10 years…love it. And that was an upgrade to the default cd stacker in the car. Time to upgrade again with car play. Given the right features.
RN is even worse! Can just stream it though.
