    Decent price!

Come next week another $50 cheaper.

  • +6

Aw man, would love to get a 6800 but 30% premium over a 6700 XT is not going to cut it. Needs to close that gap to 15% or so, but by then who knows where the 6700 XT will be!

    • +1

      6700xt / 6800 / 6800xt / 6900xt, they're all in a good place with current deals.

      • Not really for the 6800, when you can get a 3070 ti for $30 more. I agree the 6700 XT and 6900xt are in a good place though

  • +1

This price for 6900XT or no deal

    • +8

probably u get that price when 7000 series is out and they're clearing stock. At this time, no

      • +5

probably he's not gonna buy it at that price and whinge again it should be $500 and on and on

        • Let’s be honest that guys not going to buy anyway and is wasting our time. Or he’d buy the 2000 series which is at that price now

    • Pfft, should have asked for a 3090 at this price…

      • +11

This price for 3090 or no deal

        • +6

This price for 3090ti or no deal

          • +6

@Rod M: Water-cooled or no deal, with free games.

      • should have asked this price for a troll or no deal…

        • The time is coming mein friend. Are you ready for the big cratch?

          • @Jimmy77: time for what? nothing happenin, its borin…

            • +1

@[Deactivated]: You have to be patient with these things. I'm prophesizing $520 RTX 3070 FTW3 within 3-6 weeks.

Cometh the moment cometh the hodler

              • +1

@Jimmy77: Part of the reason GPU prices were still sky high early this year was Nvidia cutting production in anticipation of the end of GPU crypto mining.

If they've planned it well, there will be only a very small window where we will see truly cheap 3000 series, Nvidia will aim to exhaust all supply before the mainstream 4000 series hits the market.

May your faith be rewarded HODLER, I think you are way off with the timing as 4000 series replacement for a 3070 isn't expected until early next year

              • @Jimmy77: Even towards end of 20xx series 2070 never hit that price…

                • @JerraJones: It did. $559 with an SSD.

That was the 2070 super as well so I'd expect 3070 ti for that price if we're talking like for like

Pretty sure the non super went under $500

    • +2

You must rep the HODL 4 LIFE club. It was overpriced at 999nUS MSRP, but 1100aud is reasonable. Will come down a bit more but think you're dreaming if you expect that before next gen.

      • +2

You say that now… Couple more JPow fed rate rises, bankruptcies and insolvencies and we'll want this price for 12900k + mobo + 6900XT bundle.

Seriously though, new cards and a lot of uncertainty on the horizon; 6900XT should be sub $1000 soon.

        • +1

Might be. Just bought one gpr 1150, it's freaking cool, coming from 2080.

        • I think you are a little confused about what the rate rises and inflation will do. likely the overall prices will go up, Only so much they can come down before they simply decide it aint worth making them. you may want that price for the package, but chances are you will have to pay a lot more.

@gromit: its a troll, they don't understand jackshit

          • @gromit: No, you're right. Manufactures will go broke with flagship cards selling for $900 instead of $2500. They might tell shareholders they're shutting up shop (tip: shareholders will love this), and let the share price fall from the current 50% of top to 0.

Alternatively they will drop the price, make less profit and continue to have a brand into the future when they can hopefully make more profit.

Sounds like copium from people who bought at $2k+. They won't hit the high prices of last years for a long time.

            • -1

@buffalo bill: That would work if there wasn't limited chip manufacturing capacity and high demand for other products. The reality is if prices get too low they simply stop making these Sku's and stick to the higher margin ones and next gen ones. What we are seeing now is excess product in the channel, it will flush out and if prices don't recover they will just EOL this sku.

              • @gromit: Time will tell. This current market isn't screaming high demand to me and the days of big margins on GPUs are over for a while.

                • @buffalo bill: of course demand is not high, They have a double whammy, Crypto has crashed and we are at the end of a gen cycle with next gen just months away for both Nvidia and AMD. With demand not high they won't just keep churning out product and dropping prices (though we may not be quite at bottom yet), they will simply stop making this gen and move on, the same thing repeats every gen.

                • @buffalo bill: lol don't waste your time they're all uber defensive because they paid double current prices for gpu's. Members here trying to scare people into buying with car salesman tactics such as "limited stock only" and "will be replaced with xx50 models at inflated prices".

nah its TROLL 4 LIFE club more like it.

    • Any brand but Gigabyte or no deal.

  • Is this a good GPU for video editing? can someone please recommend a good card for video editing

    • yes, but do you own research on the specific software you are using,

  • Since Bitcoin mining is out of fashion these days, can I use this card to mine gold with Warcraft: Orcs & Humans?

    • You only need iGPU to do that.

    Holding for 6700XT or 3060ti @ $600.

    • Get sub 400 6600xt now and hodl to next gen. Retailers took too long to drop 6700xt/3060ti prices.

    • +4

Not getting the 3060ti at anything over $650. Will pull the trigger once it gets to my $600 price target.

    • They aren't far off that now

    • 6700xt is $611 right now…if you aren't interested at that price i'll wager when it does go $599 you'll be holding out for $550 and so on.

      Life of the perpetual hodler.

    • Well time to put your money where your mouth is

      • I don't know what link is. I will buy one of the cards i mentioned as soon as a reputable retailer has one at my target price. $600 for a reputable card from a reputable store.

  • +2

Damn cheaper than RRP! I paid $969 for a reference 6800 card back in December 2020

    • -2

I'll be using mine to mine the tears of HODL'ers (eg Jimmy).
Let the 6900xt goodness and ultra settings fly…

      • lol at this rate i'll probably buy the 6900xt. It was like $2200 and will be $800 in 3 weeks. I haven't exactly suffered with my current gpu either so definitely worth the 10 month wait

    • I paid 1750$

  • +1

3070ti OOS and back to $950 lol

    • Thanks for pointing that out. For anyone interested, they've dropped two other models to $879; check the updated description :)

  • +1

Not that decent when the 6900xt is only 150 more
