Considering how often it comes in stock at MS now days (without a forced controller purchase and with cashback), I don't see how this is a deal.

      Have to agree with this.

The Xbox doesn't seem to sell out quickly in comparison to the PS5 as well, I've seen Xbox posts up for days.

Would be better value to get the Xbox on its own and then find a sale for extra controller.

Same when JB had the Zip Pay cashback too, that deal and stock lasted for nearly a week

    • Doesnt it come with the Seagate 1TB SSD included though? That alone is worth $270+

      Or am I missing something?

      • +3

No, they're just saying that the console has a 1tb SSD included (internally).

        • +2

OK, just had a closer look, You are right, they are referring to the 1TB SSD already included in the console…yeh screw that..

      • +1

        No, just the internal ssd

      • +2

Definitely a misleading title, but no it doesn't include the seagate 1TB SSD. Only the 1TB internal storage

    Ooof

  • God that price is crazy wonder when we will see price drops on this.
I use xbox one happy with that and got it a couple of years im sure after release if I was to upgrade to this would need to see similar here.
Just like Xbox one games I never buy them full price and they can at times get really cheap.

Just a reminder: you can buy XB gift cards from your Shopback app with a 10% cashback, then redeem / tie them to your microsoft account which you can use to buy game consoles and other hardware from the Microsoft shop.

Don't buy too much though because you can only store up to $1000 AUD on your Microsoft account at any time.

    • +1

Yes, this is the way. 1-2 days delivery.

    • Regarding the $1000, trying to purchase more than one from an account is risky anyway

    • Also hang out for the occasional $100 off $500 spend on Microsoft offer from American Express. Combined with Shopback MS gift cards this helped me recently purchase for approx $630 delivered

  • misleading. no deal

  • You're getting another controller for essentially an additional $35. This feels like a deal to me. What am I missing?

    • Same, I clearly did not read the other comments and so think this is a fantastic deal.

    • +2

      I think you mean $80.

    • +3

Console retail is $749, so the controller is $80. For $35 it would be alright, but the price is too high considering cash back or discount alternatives.

      • +2

Ahh my mistake. Thanks for the correction. Thought console was $795 RRP.

    • Also, buying direct from MS via shopback gift cards the console is only $675

  • I don't think this is a deal, it's basically RRP. That said, I still bought one.

    • Yeah no deal here. Got mine for 645 from Microsoft with cash back three months ago

  • Greed.

Saw Xbox X is selling at Costco Ringwood at price under $740 today. hip of display boxes are available, not sure if they have plenty in stock or not.

    • Same at Moorabbin for $734, there were couple of pallets full. Seems it is also available online "https://www.costco.com.au/Computers-Tablets-Mobile-Phones/Gaming-Consoles-VR/Xbox-Series-X-Console/p/138829".
