      Cheers, updated!

      • +1

actually I stand corrected and this will get some peoples attention by 42" is $1836 lowest price but not available for purchase >.<

        • +1

55 inch? 2,316$ why is that not listed

        • That 42 has been “coming soon” for months now. I just got one for 2100 from TGG :(

          • @Slurped: They don’t price match?

            • @rainbowyen: Sorry, I mean to add I bought it about 3 weeks ago…early adopter fee I guess

            • +2

@rainbowyen: So I called up TGG and they refunded me the difference. I'm shocked I didn't think or expect them to do that. I felt like the most annoying person ever but it is the true Ozbargain way

              • +1

@Slurped: Still potentially less $90 discount with TGG eBay store

    • lowest prices to date.

We should start to see more of this as the higher interest rates start to bite. Less consumer spending will more competitive pricing, get your credit cards warmed up…

  • +1

price match at tgg for c2 42 in stock but void cashback

  • A90J good price too

  • +6

Wow. Was literally 2 days ago I was in store and the salesperson said 3795 was a great price for the 65” because it was $700 off rrp.
$3k and change for this TV is a steal…. I just wish my current TV would die so I could replace it :D

    • +1

"I just wish my current TV would die so I could replace it"…

This is me. Waiting for my 60" 2007 Pioneer Kuro to die, but I'm tempted to jump in now.

      • +1

2006 Samsung 42" Plasma holding on to life here.

        • +2

You deserve a new tv just for the fact you’ve kept a plasma running all these years!!
OLED uses less power as well right? So you’d be SAVING money :)

    • +1

I was looking at the C1 65" 2 days ago instore - display model on clearance for $3360!

      • Yeah that's way overpriced for a display model. C1s regularly went sub $2900 new in box. Stock will be harder to find. But this is a great deal for a c2.

  • A1 65" is $2,150.. insane price for a 65" Oled..

Didn't think I'd ever see one so close to under $2k

    link

Could be it's own deal imo

    • +3

Good find but theres little love for the A1 anywhere, given how quickly prices are dropping i'd hold out for those $2500 C series deals the extra $350 going to be well worth it.

      • +1

hopefully heading back towards pre pandemic pricing

  • +1

Wow! Saw the JB email and checked in here just in case it wasn't posted yet - silly me! ;)

With discounted JB gift cards I just got the C2 65" for $2950 with free delivery. Bonkers!

  • Why can’t we buy the 42 yet? You can’t be serious!!

    • relax just price match at tgg and get free shipping

      • Good Guys do free shipping??

        (Not just local delivery)

        • +1

I got mine at HN for $1835. They do free shipping on the 42.

  • This is a great price for C2. I thought C2 price wont drop till Christmas.

    • +2

TBH I don't think it'll be cheaper than this come Black Friday/Boxing Day.

If I was in the market I'd jump on one of these deals ASAP!

      • Ya I would have bought at this price but already bought C1 couple of months, feeling a bit salty now but C1 is a great TV too.

      • +1

I'll take that bet that they will definitely be cheaper.

Black Friday still many months away, sub 3K C series are common in those sales in previous years, these things are dropping in price faster then before and economy and interest rates will be worse come black friday. Gonna need to great prices to entice consumers.

  • This or C1 65" for $2700?

    • +2

      Get this without a doubt.

    • +1

I mean according to Rtings it has better brightness than a G1, new processor and it (supposedly) has much better calibration OOTB if you're not going to get it professionally calibrated anyway. Don't hold me to that last point though. Absolutely jump on it imo.

  • Hardly any difference between 55" & 65"
Thinking to upgrade current 55" 7000 series Sony bedroom TV to 65" and get the C2

  • Bought. $3026 with perks coupon. So glad I held off last week when I was contemplating this purchase.

  • 83” C2 or A90J for 1k less

    • same question for me!!

      • Unless you need four hdmi 2.1 ports on the C2, i'd go the A90J.

Sonys best image processing + heatsink + $1000 less.

        • +1

          Where is a 65inch A90J on sale for $2000?

  • any idea how long they'll be having this sale for?

    • +2

Email says "Ends 10 July". So you have until Sunday.

  • Does it have the legs or they need to be purchased separately?

  • +1

Delicious deal on a delicious TV. Thanks OP.

I see Harvey Norman have also already updated their price. $3035 including a $200 Harvey Norman Gift Card.

    • Well already purchased from jbhifi. Would it be worth giving them a call to refund $200?

      • I sent them an email cancellation but will call when they open then go buy from HN.

        • Yeah but I've bought with gift vouchers

    • I've no interest in a Harvey Norman Gift Card at the moment…..
      But the 65inch C2 for $2835 would be ideal…. ^.^

  • I got an unwanted 77" c2 in WA that I can't be bothered bringing returning to LG brand new in box .. what should I do with it lol

    • +1

It's pretty much worthless, just landfill. Pay me $50 and I'll come remove your trash for you

      • 😂 happy to let it go at less than the current best price..

  • Very tempting. Amazon deals starts on Monday. Decisions Decisions!!

  • i made a call today on harvey norman for the g2 65 inch I can have it for 3700 without the gift card but delivered to my house. is this a good deal?

    • edit: Just got the g2 65 for 3565, one of the sales staff kind enough to use it straight away

      • Confirmed this! Not many ppl talking about G2, not sure why? $3565 local delivered
I also able to used mine $250 credit which stuck in my account since 6 mth ago.

  • Don't the new models get released in about August each year?

    • +2

These were only released within the past few months.

  • +3

Just had JB HI-FI price match against the HN deal and took $200 off the price tag of the 65 inch C2 which brought it down to $2,836. 10 left in WA at that point in time. Don't forget to ask for free delivery!

Now if only I had a stockpile of gift cards…

    • +1

Was this in store, or online via their '13' number?

    • What WA store man? Just called and they said they won't match HN cards.

    • Could you please share a receipt?

  • +1

Bought the 55” a week ago after stuffing around and not buying the C1 when it was on sale before it disappeared. Price matched VideoPro for $2670 then of course it went on sale now but luckily I went in store and was able I get jb hi fi to refund the difference to this sale price. So I’m chill now lol.

  • I picked up for an elderly neighbour a used, LG 55' C1 OLED for $960 ~ its now setup working with all his streaming services and iview/ondemand services and it look fabulous. Ive also seen refurbished C1 65" for $1300 which I thought was a damn fine deal with factory warranty! Bargins abound and the C1 has some better things than the C2 if your a gamer and picky about such things too!

    • C1 has some better things than the C2 if your a gamer

      Like what?

  • I called JB hi-fi sales line and asked about matching HN. He said the best he could do was offer $2900. Sent me a link and purchased it online. I'm in Victoria. Should have it delivered later today. Finally replacing my 10+yr old Panasonic plasma that just won't die.

    • Had the exact same experience. I let the code expire overnight though searching for a better price match. Didn't get one so I'll have to try again today.

    • nice! best I could get them to was $2980

    • @1301Beast
After you setup the C2 let me know how it compares to the Panasonic Plasma

      • +2

Its spectacular, I was nervous, hence why I've waited so long to upgrade, but everything is just amazing, even old upscaled movies. Motion is fantastic, I have basically everything off and in cinema colour mode and its stunning. Will fine tune it further, but my wife is very fussy about any 'judder' etc. There's the tiniest bit on slow pans (which even happens on a plasma), but beyond that its incredible. I run a Shield through it, and being able to just turn the screen off but keep the TV on has stopped the music playback issues I was having with the Plasma. WAF is much higher now, and settles my nerves over burn in concerns with static images. Plus it integrates great with Home Assistant, so I can automate the screen off when music is going to settle my nerves further.

These things truly are the worthy successors to plasma.

        • Thanks mate for the detailed comparison

Do you find the C2 is 'brighter' than the Panasonic Plasma?

          • What is 'run a Shield through it'?
          • What is 'WAF'?
          • What setting do you adjust to reduce 'judder'?
          • +2

@[Deactivated]: yes way brighter, I think its too because blacks are so black! opening scene of Mad Max Fury road and Star Trek reboot you squint when it suddenly goes bright, its awesome.

Sorry I use an Nvidia Shield for everything and have a dedicated AVR for audio, TV is just a monitor for me. So chromecast to it and use native apps etc, which like for music can cause concerns of burn in, the plasma used to cause the music to stop when you turned it off at the wall, was very annoying.

WAF= Wife Acceptance Factor, anything below an 8/10 ends in tears. Especially when home automation is involved.

The 'judder' doesn't really bother me, its a typical 24fps film issue, I've had a quick try of one of the motion settings and it helped it a bit, haven't fiddled more but I don't want to introduce any other issues. Honestly if you weren't looking for it, you wouldn't know it was there. I only spotted it once in a scene near the start of Mission Impossible 1 where the camera pans at the party scene. 2sec bit in a 110min movie, was the only time I saw it, and only because I was looking for it.

            • @1301Beast: Thanks

They raised the RRP significantly LOL
