15890

Hi everyone. A hot 2-hour Amazon Prime Day deal for our members with 14% cashback on every Amazon category, capped in total at $20 per member and valid for 2 hours only. ANZ Max members that pay with a linked ANZ card will get 16% cashback (capped at $20). Don't forget to join Amazon Prime in order to access all Prime Day deals - it's totally free for the first month. Thanks for your support as always. Stay safe, and enjoy :)

Please read the following terms & tips carefully - it will save a lot of questions:

  1. Ensure your Amazon cart is empty before clicking from Cashrewards, as items added prior to clicking will not earn cashback. Items must only be added to cart after clicking from Cashrewards.
  2. During the 2 hour promotional period, 14% cashback for Amazon Australia (16% for ANZ Max members) is capped at $20 in total per member account, irrespective of the number of transactions made. Valid 4:00pm to 6:00pm Tuesday 12/07/22 (AEST).
  3. Purchases paid with gift cards are eligible for cashback.
  4. Purchases paid with any Amazon promotional credit as partial or full payment are ineligible for cashback.
  5. Cashback is ineligible on purchase of vouchers, gift cards, kindle unlimited, audible, mobile apps, recurring subscribe & save items (first order only is eligible), Amazon Prime subscriptions & renewals. Cashback is also ineligible on use of any codes entered manually in Amazon's 'Promotion Code' field, and on items purchased from your Amazon wish list or 'saved for later' list.
  6. Pre-orders are eligible for cashback only if the item is scheduled to be shipped within 60 days of purchase.
  7. Purchases from Amazon US/UK are eligible for cashback provided the transaction is made via Amazon AU.
  8. You must return and click through from Cashrewards to Amazon every time you make a new transaction/purchase. Click and subsequent purchase must be completed inside the 2-hour window. Amazon tracking typically takes 1-3 days to report into accounts (Amazon tracking is not instant).
  9. The offer is valid during the promotional period unless withdrawn by Amazon earlier. Amazon reserves the right to cancel, amend or withdraw the offer at any time at its discretion. The offer cannot be used on pre-existing orders with Amazon.
  10. For tracking success, ensure you disable 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave, close any additional browser tabs, and don't click away to other sites looking for codes etc after clicking from Cashrewards as tracking will be lost. Cashrewards must be your last click (not 3-Camels etc). Try our iOS/Android mobile app for great tracking results. Use our Help Centre & Contact form here for any questions or issues.

The rate of cashback rejections has increased dramatically for me in the past year so I have shifted to shopback deals now.

    • +2

      for what reason?

I noticed if most categories have 0% cashback so it will come up as rejected

      • +1

Their 'Cashrewards Promotional Bonus' are likely to be declined.

Small amounts. Don't want to waste my time to find out why. Prefer to spend the time on ozbargain. lol.

I haven't received any decline from shopback yet.

        • +4

The trick is to not activate promotional bonuses you don't intend using. They auto-decline after 14 days if a subsequent qualifying purchase is not made per the terms. So in this case, your declines may appear to have increased because you've not availed of them when in fact there'd be no declines if you didn't activate them. Match up the date of your bonuses against this masterthread to help understand their status. Thanks.

          • @tightarse: Can you guys add a description to the declined cashback instead of just a generic "Cashrewards Promotional Bonus" so we know which one it is down the track?

            • +1

@CVonC: Yes, it's in the works as are a lot of other changes to the bonus app.

    • +5

Yeh agree, Cashback is unreliable and too many rejections. . Shop Back has been solid.

      • That has been my experience also.

        • -1

          @Ok computer @Luckyalways

Have you read this? Don’t activate bonuses you won’t use and you won’t have issues :)

          • +2

@tightarse: I can confirm a number of transactions tracked but require a manual claim. I was surprised how many there were when I logged in to check today. I then need to provide Cashrewards more information than the ATO need for a tax return, to get the 7% discount off my $15 Amazon purchase.

Shopback works perfectly every time. Cashback funds withdrawn and their service now deleted.

          • @tightarse: Hi tightarse, yes I had always done as per your thread prior to use but it made no difference. I have stopped using cashrewards because it didn't work well for me. For those it works thats great but the declines have been too many so I gave up in the end. I haven't had any issues with shopback

            • @Luckyalways: That’s fine, no problem at all. The thing I’m failing to understand however is that you’ve activated a bonus, not used it, and you’re unhappy that it’s declined. How does this make it a Cashrewards issue? All feedback welcome.

              • @tightarse: Hey TA, I just thought I'd let you know I actually don't have an issue with CR. I think everything I've ever needed tracking has tracked.

Maybe a 'hide' option for users to hide pending or declined CBs? I often fall foul of the 'activate an offer' at 10AM and then forget to use it by 4PM (I assume you're then busy doing the numbers between 4-5PM to give to Andrew, haha), so being able to hide these ones I know were declined due to my silliness means it's a lot easier to view my history.

                • +3

@[Deactivated]: While we're here adding features, I think adding a 'notes' column next to click activities would be great for users to add in what they bought so when we do need to make a claim, we know which clicks are valid and which we were just browsing.

                  • @CodeXD: Note field idea is a great one.

                  • @CodeXD: Ok what's the JIRA instance so we can add these to the backlog?

                    • @[Deactivated]: I'm more of a Service Now kinda guy.

                    • @[Deactivated]: JIRAs lol - we live and breathe by them here at CR. Thanks for the feedback by the way :)

Purchases paid with gift cards are eligible for cashback - Legend TA!! Thanks again

    • +2

I think both SB and CR always accept gift card payment

    • Think this includes the $75 eGift card I purchased the other day?

      • +1

You can use the $75 gift card, but not the $5 promotional credit.

        • Thanks for confirming my understanding

  • +1

Surely we can get some last minute gift card bonus cashbacks for amazon before prime day… right?

    • +1

Surely you have stacks from last month?

      • +3

As if I ever have enough.

  • +1

    Thanks TA.
    More impulse buy LOL

  • +3

Amazon Prime subscriptions & renewals is ineligible, so need to wait until tomorrow to buy toilet tissue XD

    • +1

so need to wait until tomorrow to buy toilet tissue XD

      I mean NO need

  • I bought a psu from amazon during this big promotion back on June and never get tracked. Need to send the claim to them most of the time.

  • If only it could track from Amazon.

  • +12

Just keep in mind Amazon credit is not eligible for cashback, if you bought the gift card from amazon directly with $5 extra value, make sure you untick the amazon promotional credit on checkout otherwise it will void your cashback

    • Good point! But gift card or credit in my amazon account is still eligible?

      • +3

Gift cards loaded on your account will be fine :)

    • So far I seem to have got away with that one - since it’s credit rather than a coupon. But I tried it on a really low value (1.5%) cashback purchase - all of $3ish at stake.

  • +2

Make sure you uncheck the box using promotional credits in the last checkout step!! If you have any

    • Anyone know how long promo credit takes to process? I made a purchase and there was no check box at checkout. But my credit is also nowhere to be seen yet.

      • Amazon credits only can be seen and used on item sold and send by Amazon AU, not US, not UK, no 3rd party sellers.

  • -1

    Thanks TA.
You ARE AMAZING with your deals !!

  • Should Firestick be ordered now or will there be enough stock to order tomorrow and avail this cashback deal you reckon?

  • -8

Good luck with CashRejected. I'll stick with ShopBack, hopefully, they will match or beat this offer.

    • +4

      good luck with ShopTrack https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/568593

"ShopBack had 20M email addresses breached in September. Data included names, phone numbers, country of residence and salted SHA-1 password hashes"

    • +1

      YEH …
You've gotta be joking with ShopBack customer service.
      They ARE HOPELESS !
At least Cashrewards have a GREAT team of people behind the scenes HELPING individuals with queries.
Cashrewards always reply and are supportive and courteous.
ShopBack are dreadful to deal with and you are lucky to get a reply !

    • +1

Never had any problems with CashRewards. If the cashback fails to track, I simply reach out to support and so far (a member since 2016) - all the issues have been resolved to my satisfaction 100%.

I use ShopBack also - it is good too. But I found that CashRewards tracks faster. In most cases 10-15 min from making a purchase.

      • I had one issue but it was Angus&Robertson being jerks not CR’s fault.

    • +1

99.9% of my CR transactions get approved without a hitch. It is the only Amazon one's which are tricky -not CR fault

  • +1

Do items with automatic coupons still track?
    For example this one: https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B09QMFV1QV?m=A1QWLA3SH67YKB&ref…

I can't actually remove the coupon from applying to order at all.

    • Go into payments as if you are changing CC - you should be able to deselect.

      • However, in this particular instance, the discount of $70 is greater than the cashback they will receive back.

  • +1

Cheerios! Fingers crossed for a successfully tracked purchase tomorrow.

  • +1

    Oculus Quest 2 deals LFG

  • +1

Just cancelled my order I made today…

  • +1

This condition -> Purchases paid with any Amazon promotional credit as partial or full payment are ineligible for cashback.

If a person still has the $5 credit from the Amazon gift card purchase then the $5 credit is applied automatically at check out. This will invalidate tomorrow's cash back (or any Amazon cash back)?

    • +1

Yes so make sure you untick it at checkout screen

      • And leaving the $75 gift card amount in is ok?

  • I have $$ credits under my account from the amazon giftcards that I have purchased and stacked.
Will it be fine to get the rewards? geez there are so many terms and conditions for this.

    • Purchases paid with gift cards are eligible for cashback.
Purchases paid with any Amazon promotional credit as partial or full payment are ineligible for cashback.

      • -1

AFAIK, the Amazon credit is auto applied, can't stop it.
So if I want to take advantage of tomorrows cash back, I need to "spend" the $5 now….

If you have $5 credit and want to use tomorrow cash back, note below

"$5 promotional credit to your account which can be used on eligible items shipped and sold by Amazon AU."

        • It’s auto applied, but you can untick it in checkout

          • +1

@Edamamme: Ah, thanks, didn't notice that last time used the credit.
            All good then.

  • Yay! Thank goodness I held back lol.

    You’re the best TA ;)

  • Thanks.

  • "Cashback is ineligible on purchase of vouchers, gift cards, kindle unlimited, audible, mobile apps, recurring subscribe & save items (first order only is eligible), Amazon Prime subscriptions & renewals. Cashback is also ineligible on use of any codes entered manually in Amazon's 'Promotion Code' field, and on items purchased from your Amazon wish list or 'saved for later' list."

Also ineligible from my wish list?

    • That's correct. Please read the three related comments here.

      • Would pasting urls of the items be valid?

        • On desktop, this may break cookie tracking. Who knows

        • +4

Do not ever paste URLs if you want successful tracking - that's not how the affiliate space works and tracking will be lost. Please use the Cashrewards mobile app in your case to remove the temptation.

          • +1

@tightarse: The alternative is to note down the ASIN, and perform a search for the ASIN (after clicking through from Cashrewards). Thus avoiding the need to directly paste any URL (which might have someone else's affiliate code embedded within the query string).

            This should work, right?

    • Do I need to remove the item from my wish list, search for the item and add it to the cart before it is eligible?

      • remove the item from my wish list, search for the item and add it to the cart before it is eligible?

        Seem like it is necessary.

        • +2

Clear cart / clear wish list / clear saved for later list. Click or tap 'Shop Now' from Cashrewards. Search for item. Add to cart. Purchase.

          • +2

@tightarse: Does cashback still work if instead of directly adding from my wishlist straight to my cart, I click through to the item page from my wishlist and then add to my cart from there? Or does the fact that its in my wishlist(s) at all invalidate the cashback?

Just trying to avoid the whole searching for multiple items once I click through from CR, especially with multiple vendors selling the same thing so hard to sort through the crap sometimes, so the wishlist is good for narrowing down the items I'm after.

    • Sweet S&S will work

  • +1

If I were to buy an item which have a voucher tick box saying "Save an extra 30% when you apply this voucher."

Would this still be eligible for cashback?

  • Great Thanks

  • Cashrewards enquire about a claim link not working for anybody else? Keeps telling me the service is unavailable when I finish entering all details about a missing cashback

    • If that's failing, please send an email to [email protected] (making sure it's sent from your CR email address). Thanks.

      • whats min rep?

  • +1

Am i the only one disappointed?

    • +1

      Yes

  • So Meta Quest 2 will be 459$ then, dam the cap sucks lol, otherwise $402.36 (with 16%)

  • Can I use "buy now" but not clear my cart?

  • anyone knows how do these cashback platforms make money? i’m all down for the cashback but really makes me wonder how is it sustainable for them to give out all these cash?

    • I think they'd earn a commission for bringing customers to various storefronts. Once they receive the commission, they give the majority to the customer while keeping a certain percentage for themselves.

  • Do you need Amazon Prime to access the cashback?

    • +1

      Nope
But you do need it to access Prime Day deals
