  • if only they had the 85k at a competitive price. It was only a few hundred more for the 85k at jb/goodguys/harvey

Yeah the 75k isn't a very good tv.
It's a cheap tv if you don't care about picture quality. But then you might as well get the Aldi tv.
      85k is decent

Really struggling to find a decent TV for around $1500 for PS5. I'm picky, but not rich.

why is this a "not very good" TV? All the reviews I see are basically saying that yeah it is a more budget focused TV but still has a good picture overall for the price, especially this price. I would rather have this than a Hisense for example although the Hisense U7g seems good but that is about $400 more at current prices. I would also love the 85K but that at a few hundred more. This is not a main living room TV, it is in my study just to stream and watch TV, that's it. So I think it is a good TV and at this price for a non main TV it is a winner.

BTW I have an LG OLED as my main so I know what a good picture looks like and I know this wont live up to that for sure. Oh and had a Pioneer Kuro Plasma before that so I am all about quality when it comes to main TV's.

This TV doesn't even have HDMI 2.1 or 120hz for gaming. Most reviews say the input lag is quite bad too. It really depends on what you are using it for.

It's a big step up going to the 85k, with far better black uniformity, brightness, reflection handling. So yea, I understand you are an expert in the field since you have an oled, but it is what it is.

@onlinepred: Yeah also no Dolby vision or triluminous pro tech which increases the colour palette.
            It's a fairly dull tv.

        • Like I said for just watching some TV and streaming, no gaming it is fine at this price that's all I am saying. If you are a big gamer on TV's then yep look at other options, even the Hisense U7g seemed like a decent gaming TV…I think it had 10ms lag? was brighter etc. Anyway good luck!

If only they have 90K or the discontinued 90J at competitive price.

      • +1

Yes X90J would be the one to go for based on rtings test reviews

  • 75K doesn't seem to be that much cheaper then what JBHIFI is currently offering am i missing something?

    • some models are cheaper on au but they are delivered for free to home. not sure if JB offering free delivery

  • +1

FYI the 43 inch was $797 about 24hrs ago :-(

    • Was that the J or K series?

      • x75k and sorry i think it was $796 and unfortunately I didn't do a screenshot before it changed, this was on Amazon BTW.

  • +3

Didn't realise the Sony sale on the x90j was just for the weekend. That was a good deal.

    • Neither did I. I hooked up the trailer yesterday morning and went to HN to grab a 75x90j. Was $600 cheaper the day before lol. They would barely budge too.

  • +1

Oh! 43 inch is now $797 on Jbhifi

  • $1,211 is probably the cheapest I've seen for a Sony 65" Goole TV.

  • 43" https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/sony-x75k-43-bravia-led-4…

Why is 43" basically same price as 50"
