[QLD] Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4G Purple (256GB) $799 @ JB Hi-Fi (Harbour Town)

152

Just went to JB Hi-Fi Harbour Town (Labrador, Gold Coast) and spotted this. I don't know the quantity of stocks they have in-store rightnow.

This is GALAXY Z FLIP (OG), not Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G. I don't know this is even a deal anymore.

It is my mistake to not check the price tag properly. I assumed it was Z Flip 3 5G, as even the Z Flip 5G (a.k.a. Z Flip 2) is out of stock at various stores. I sincerely apologise for the confusion.

3- small footprint, i have both the flip and earbuds case and it fits nicely in one pocket.
4- people are still amazed at this phone when i use for transport/ to pay for stuff.

        Edit: talking bout flip3

My flip got a bubble in the screen and small tears started to appear in the fold. Had to convince Samsung to repair it for free.

        • So a rare fault and it was fixed under warranty .. sounds all good to me

@matt-ozb: Was very frustrating and took months to actually claim in under warranty. I have the fold now, sooo much better. Also they claim any damage/faults to the screen aren't covered under warranty.

You prefer half a day's battery yikes

        • +1

I use wireless charging so it feels like I have never charged my phone .. you should try it

          • +1

@matt-ozb: Nah I have a mate 20 that lasts 1.5 days and 45w fast charging in less than 1 hour. One day if wireless chargers pick up their game lol

            • @solidussnake: This day and age (assuming you are in Oz) and you are using a Huawei?

              Speaks volume for itself.

  • wtf .. Just note that the inner screen is really fragile ..

Any proper data for this or just guessing?

My Flip3 was perfect for 8 mths then upgraded to S22U.

    • One of the relatives who owns this phone, apparently had a some dead pixel on the screen, few days after the initial purchase.

You need data for a commonly known issue? Its part and parcel of owning one of these but someone completely new to folding glass should be aware that its significantly more fragile than the glass on a regular slab phone, its a pretty fair statement to make imho.

      • I don't understand .. mine was completely fine .. didn't seem fragile.. phones have warranties also

        • +1

You are one person. There are lots of these phones out in the world and there are lots of people that have reported the screen cracking issue.

Warranty isn't some magical thing either, it leaves you without a phone for a number of days and thats assuming its a care free straight forward warranty return.

This is not the Z Flip 3, not even 2! SKU 429190

    • +2

Yup, you’re right. OP listed the wrong Flip model

On JB website, they listed the Z Flip 3 with SKU beginning 55532X, where the X represents the different internal storage and colour models

Quick Google search shows that this is the first Gen of Z Flip from this photo with the correct SKU 429190

Edit: OP has fixed the title, my negged has been removed

    Nice 👍

Yup definitely not a deal in the slightest, even the flip 3 has been cheaper this is just one store being lazy not clearing out their q-stock

If anyone buys at this price is getting low key scammed. Terrible build quality apparently despite the unique design
