ugh… another 10 inch tablet. Why won't anyone make sub-7 inch tablet with a decent SOC and 4G/5G anymore… :(

🤣 sub-7 inch would be a mobile phone!

I'm always looking for tablets under 10". Performance of the ones available are certainly better than what we had years ago but nothing like what's in the 10" space. The best one I've seen is the Lenovo Legion Y700 at 8.8" with 2560x1600 resolution, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage and SD870 CPU. Unfortunately it's still China-only and quite expensive.

Realme Pad Mini is on the more budget scale and decent in that it has a UNISOC T616 CPU, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. It uses the same panel as the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite so it's 8.7" with a 1340x800 resolution unfortunately.

In the UNISOC T618 range of tablets I rate this one highly and I'd say it's better than the popular Alldocube iPlay 40. Namely the build quality is better, the screen has a good IPS panel that can go very bright, 4 speakers that sound good and 18W PD charging.

    • Can the UNISOC T618 handle light gaming?

I'm looking for Minecraft/Roblox device (with 4G) for my son

    Netflix HD?

    • +1

According to TechTablets no Widevine L1 support, so no HD for Netflix, etc.

Really disappointing considering the screen is apparently really nice too.

  • Bought the T20, the battery was junk.

    • Had that's to charging port went after 3 months!

Can anyone verify 540nits, or this a "claimed brightness"

Edit: Blurb on the page specifies 350 nits. Sigh

    • 540nits comes from testing in the video review linked in the op.

      • could be a different model, I saw 350nits in a few reviews :(

  • I have Teclast T8, the problem with those Chinese tablets is that you won't get any updates. At some point, Facebook, Instagram and other apps started to work weird as they probably followed some android updates, but Teclast hasn't done any updates from the day we bought it, same with Alldocube 9pro. It is a good build ebook now. Aldocube 9 pro is a piece of junk, can't even watch porn on it.

  • Anyone who has this, how have you found it?

I got one for my wife for mainly streaming media consumption (which it seems fine for), but I also tried some gambling games/apps like MyVegas on it and it seems as slow as anything (much slower than my 8gb ram phone for same app, and similar to my old 2014 Galaxy Tab S).
