Woolies struggle to keep a hold of mine and countless other's rewards points safe, it is the same system you're putting your credit card into - not worth the risk for the points.

    • +2

Different system; Everyday Pay uses your actual account with a username/password.

Vs your reward points which is just a barcode.

      • People had their redemption changed from save for Christmas to dollars off shop. This would require a password to be entered or SMS verification.

  • For those with Everyday Pay, check the gift card portal in the app because there's a bonus points offer running until 7 August that gives you 1000 points for a $150+ spend and 1500 for a $220+ spend when you buy Woolworths, BIG W, BWS, Dan Murphy’s, WISH, Fuel, Simply Groceries and Essentials gift cards.

    • +1

Only equates to a 3.3% return on your spend, whilst better than nothing, still worse value than most 'spend $x for y points' deals that pass through here.

      • Obviously. But if you are going to shop at any of those places anyway you might as well claim the free points.

      Don't have Everyday Pay…
Received same offer in email from Rewards.
There are better egift card offers.

      • It’s a great deal for those seeking Qantas points like I am. If you’re just hoping to save cash you’re right that it’s not very good.

        • Again far better points bonuses in other offers.
Received 26.000 Rewards pt in recent Deal, on less than $10 spend! That converts to a lot of Qantas pts.

          • @INFIDEL: 26k ER points for less than $10? What deal was that?

            • +1

@VantageXL: Been a few good bonus EDR pt & topup Deals.

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/698696 received 26k EDR pts across multiple accounts

              I've posted Deal for 16k pt for 8 x 1c spends & topup to 2k pt.

So 1k/1.5k EDR pt offers aren't that attractive to me.

              • @INFIDEL: Right but those deals are expired. You shouldn’t dismiss a good offer just because previously there have been even better ones. Anyone serious about earning points will take advantage of them all.

                • +1

@VantageXL: So you didn't grab those far better offers before they expired??

                  Am serious about earning points
But, I grab good offers that suit me & ignore the rest. Been doing that for years. Others have given the same advice in Deals.

Sinking my money into more Woolies credit for 1k/1.5k EDR pt isn't that attractive for me. Binned those offers tonight. Better to use bonus pt offers (like I commented above) for near free credit!!

Still have egift cards from similar previous offer - stacked with discount on purchase. With so much credit from offers, they haven't been used much.

Am currently using 10% back Suncorp Deal: $25 back on $250 grocery spend. Not tied to spend at just Woolies. Took up a previous offer & it paid out. A much better ROI!

I don't spend much at Woolies. Mostly paid by previous bonus points offers.
Buy when receive regular targeted offers like 3100pt on $50 spend.

As I've commented here over many years - there are advantages to having more than 1 EDR account😉

                  • @INFIDEL: I take advantage of every offer I can, especially those that you linked, but I think we have very different strategies.

Your Suncorp deal nets you $25 off a $250 spend. 1500 ER points on a $220 gift card is worth at least $37.5 to me in Qantas points. Even if the bonus points were half or a quarter of that, I’d honestly still probably do it because it takes 30 seconds and it’s zero risk free points for me.

Thanks for the Suncorp link, though. I might use that and double dip on a future gift card points offer.

  • That's a lot of effort to make 4 dollars and I got it on like 6 different accounts.

    • Don’t regret it the next round when some of your accounts get hit with another 1000pts boost offers :)

      • The one card we did link to the app gets far less offers than the others. Seems better overall to not install.

        • +1

Link card, get points, unlink card perhaps?

          • @ilovefullprice: According to our quarterly statements we made nearly 400 bucks in bonuses in the last 3 months. Seems a bit of effort to install, spend a dollar (make 4) and repeat half a dozen times in a f/n. We'll see.

          • +1

@ilovefullprice: Yes, this method works for opt in/out ereceipt.

  • Is it only once? I did but offer is still active in my booster. Couldn't check if the last $10 rewards was due to this :(

    • +1

I would think it’s only once. T&Cs says it could take 14 days. Just contact support if you’re unsure.

I am in the same situation as you.

      • +1

Bonus pts seems to be credited 5-7 days after promotion in a whole batch to all accounts as indicated in the previous similar deal. I'll say by 16th Aug.

        • +1

I was going to contact them but the bonus points finally turned up on 25 Aug. (The buggers only offered me 500.)

  • Did rewards pay killed the rewards card in Apple wallet? Seem to have disappeared and I’m no longer able to add it again. Was great for tapping at stores and petrol station. I don’t think the new QR code scan is available at petrol stations
