      We try to have shows available for most states at all times however obviously the climate for these things has been a lot different post Covid. Which state are you from?

          I'm pre-empting its cruel intentions - worth the watch if this is the case. Promotix out of interest, the last time I bought one of your tickets I got premium seats, was this just the luck of the draw, or is the allocation provided to you some of the better seats?

      If you're in WA they do have shows but obviously less. It's pretty much just during touring comedy festivals such as fringe, international comedy festival (or whatever it is), maybe 4 or so random other things over a year.

      I did have a ticket get cancelled without notice last year but Nathan was super responsive. We had to agree to disagree and I paid full price at the gate (lucky i could still buy tickets)

      It's very hard to argue with the price! ;)

                @Jeffie: Yes, it works, I just did it. Just log in, go to "upgrade membership" then paste in the promo code. You will get 12 months of VIP Blue Membership.

        They might ask you for your feedback after but takes only like 10 seconds.
        I get great value from these though and they're pretty much free or very very cheap!
        A lot of these are last minute events which still have spare seats left.

        The tickets are not 100% free. You have to pay booking fees of around $6-$12 for two people. That's cheaper than discount movie tickets for one person these days.

        The shows are hit and miss. Events at the bigger venue are usually safer choices. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

    I got Cruel Intentions for Tuesday - Doesn't have the best reviews, but for $6 and some time with friends I'll take it and make my own opinion.

    Previously I saw "Reuben Kane" and "Sex, Lies & Betrayal" here in Brisbane through Promotix. They were actually quite good.

    I sent a message on the contact form asking for VIP extension.

      For me, Cruel Intentions were better than expected. It was better than Bring It On : the musical, both in terms of music and staging. The story is easier to follow if you are already familiar with the original film.

    I have VIP status until March 2023, but would love to have it extended til July so it covers all the great Fringe and Adelaide Festival acts going on around that time.

    Sadly this will be the last time I support companies like this and pay for a VIP membership to get the benefits only to have them give away VIP status and void the benefit I paid for and make it near impossible to get any tickets.

      If you check the posting history on OzBargain, you will find that these free membership deals come around every six months. Take some personal responsibility for not doing your homework. You can't always win all the time.

    I've signed up to this several times, but have never utilised it. I find that I'm not drawn to comedy shows – I'm not familiar with most local comedians, and it seems like a gamble where you're potentially wasting an hour or so (and $10). Almost needs a review/rating system so people can see whether it's worth going beforehand, like restaurants with Google Maps.

      Most comedian has clips on YouTube or their social, but don't watch too many from the same act. The not so established acts tend to reuse their jokes. It completely spoil the show when you have already heard their best materials.
