Ozito PXC 2x4.0Ah Batteries & Multi Fast Charger Pack $99.98 @ Bunnings

1840

Just purchased instore at Bunnings Malaga (WA). Consists of 2x4.0Ah red batteries and 1x multi battery fast charger. No online links so I assume it's store specific edit: apparently on powerpass app nationwide so check in store!

At least 20 boxes left at the entrance to the tool shop when I purchased 30 minutes ago.

RRP if purchased separate is 2x$69 + $69.98 = $207.98 or if you can find the black style batteries 2x$48 + $69.98 = $165.98

Uploading it to the media uploader when publishing doesn't seem to do anything? Will upload elsewhere and share

  • How fast at charging, takes 1hr for my 3ah batteries atm

    • still 60 mins for 3Ah on this one - standard charger is 120min

      • Damn my set is cheap but because the batteries are slow as to charge!

    • +4

Stick to the slower charger. They will last a lot longer. There aren't any fans in the fast charger and the lithium cells get warm. Heat and Lithium is all bad.

      • meh, these aren't expensive batteries. i don't have time to charge slow, lol. i will just buy more when i need it.

    • 1 Hour charging for any capacity is also called 1C (4Ah battery pack charge at 4A rate) charging which is the golden figure for best lifespan. In fact it doesn't really heat up much at 1C charging. So if you want the fastest and safest charging rate stick to 1hr.

You can always remove the battery after 45 minutes. At 45 minutes the pack should reach about 80%, the last 20% takes longest to charge.

Any idea what cells are inside these Ozito packs? LG or Sammy or Chinese?

  • Good deal already have too
Many batteries and chargers to count though with all the ozb kit deals over the years.

Been looking for the stock checker link for ages, thanks!

    • Thanks OP. Plenty left at Fountain Gate VIC.

    • @vu Im really interested in how you track a Bunnings item thats not even listed on the website!

  • -2

Can i buy 7 packs and daisy chain 14 batteries them to make a ~240v @ 4.0ah power supply supply

    • +5

You probably can, but it would be 240v dc.

  • This is an insane price, will try Cannington tomorrow. Thanks OP

  • I have an ozito chainsaw and drill both use diff batteries which sucks, I need a 2nd battery for the chainsaw as it’s piss week, which battery do I need

    • From the website:

One battery powers the entire Ozito Power X Change range, including home and garden tools.

Not sure if Ozito made non Power X Change tools, but I'd check what yours are (type and capacity) and use that as a guide. If they are X Change and 4ah or lower then this should work for you.

From the brushless chainsaw manual for example:

This tool is compatible with all battery and chargers from the Ozito Power X Change Range.

      • +1

They have a 12v home range and some other 18v garden tool I think that use non PXC batteries.

  • +1

Picked up one from Box Hill - still about 15 or so available when I left

    • +1

      About 13 now haha

      "These are selling like hotcakes"

      • +1

Maybe 7 now, flying out the door

  • Excellent thank you OP and vu. Off to Ballarat today

  • Thank you OP, this is perfect for my mower with 4 battery slots, with only 2 batteries, always run out half way doing my corner block nature strips.

  • -8

Pity the fool who thinks Ozito batteries are value … at any price!

    • I for one, always listen when Mr T speaks. Why do you say that about Ozito batteries? They have always done what I needed

      • Bought a set of Ozito tools, recharged the batteries early (correct way to extend the life of lithium batts) batteries died while working on a project that was over 200k's from a Bunnings, bought 2 x 4ah batteries, they also died well before I'd expect, to use those tools now I have 2 x 4ah packs I repacked with Samsung cells, cut my losses and purchased a set of Makita.

  • Thanks OP, got one! Now waiting for their deals on mower!

  • Does anyone know if these are available in Adelaide, I've tried Gawler and Parafield, but no luck.

    • +2

Heaps at Woodville. I got one a couple of hours ago. Shelf was still full.

      • Thank you! :)

    • I didnt find it at parafield either, might not have been out on the shelves yet. Was down there around lunch time.
Was able to find it on the shelves at Modbury in the tool area.

    • Ask the staff to look up the item number. Parafield should have over 70

  • Got one Bunnings Croydon in Victoria. 20 on shelf at register. No stock at Lilydale store.

  • Plenty at Innaloo still. Big stack of them.

  • OMG thank you!!!

  • Thanks OP! Picked one up in Doncaster. Loads of stock across Melbourne now. I think most Bunnings just got their shipment as they were still sitting in the boxes waiting to be put on the shelves.

  • +1

Starting to show up in QLD now!

    • Which store?

      • Various stores. Go to the link in the comment above with the stock levels and should tell you

        • Definitely available at Mount Gravatt (Wrecker Rd) QLD. Was there 1 hr ago.

          • @MeToo: Yeah thats also my local. Jumped the gun and picked some up early from acacia ridge just in case we didn't get any. But looks like they're slowly delivering to stores across QLD.

  • Can someone please share the actual bunnings link?

    • +3

It's in store only, no online link currrently exists for it

  • Local bunnings saying no stock in whole QLD

  • Plenty of stock in Altona (VIC) - stacked near the checkout in the tool section. Also showing in stock in a number of stores nearby.

This is actually is a box - I was expecting a plastic blister pack.

Here's a pic from the Powerpass app:

More and more stores are getting good stock by the minute. Vu's link extrememly helpful: https://nrby.in/bunnings/0370066

    Got one no probs.

  • FWIW I went to the Bunnings at Edgwater, WA (not sure if it's Edgewater or Joondalup store) and they had just received stock yesterday. There were quite a few (didn't count) for anyone in the area.

Thanks OP - now I'm on the Ozito route, been waiting for these to go on sale!!!

  • 72 in stock at West Gosford now. I vaguely remember these on clearance for $80 at the start of the year. (Might have been without the charger though) I wonder if there's any chance that Gosford will have to clear the last few out a bit cheaper?

  • If you are quick (the deal is likely to be patched/fixed by Woolies) you can get another 10% off:

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/716916

I just returned and re-bought the battery pack myself.

  • Plenty of stock in clydenorth.just bought a one .thanks OP

  • It is good deal. It is a shame that I bought 2x4Ah black last month. I should wait for this!

  • Plenty of stock at Wallsend NSW bunnings

  • Just grabbed one, heaps of stock at the Rockingham WA store

  • What do you guys think of this deal for an extra $110?
    https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-pxc-2-x-18v-cordless-3-in-…
and $10 cheaper than the skin only
    https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-pxc-2-x-18v-brushless-blow…

    • +1

Purchased for $179 a few months ago. Returned the first one as a captivated nut came loose and made it impossible to swap between suction and blower. Replacement has been good. Suction is OK, not as good as a corded model but does the job with leaves and sand. Blower is heavy and underpowered compared to other options but as a 2 in 1 it does the job. I'd probably think twice about $209 but have no regrets getting it at $179

The skin only model you linked is actually different model so can't compare

      • Thanks for the reply.
I noticed it's a different model but the specs are very similar.
I actually bought this battery pack deal for the jet blower i bought from an old deal
        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/564606

  • Plenty of stock in West Gosford . Same for $20 battery/charger combo.

  • Just in Maroochydore. They have a half a pallet of these on display.

  • +1

Nearly got caught out and bought a different one by mistake.
4ah, 2ah, multi charger pack also at $99 was on the shelf right next to these 2x4ah ones.

    • -1

Interesting - are you sure that it had a multi charger in it? The web site only shows a 2Ah and 4Ah pack with a single charger for $129.

      • Doesn't appear to be on the website. Box looked identical to the one in the OP (but with a different battery obviously.)
If i go past Bunnings on the weekend I'll snap a picture and grab the item code.

      • +1

Yes they do have the multi charger in it and the item is not listed on the Bunnings website.

  • +2

I just picked up a couple of packs from Underwood - they weren't on display so had to wait for someone to go out the back and find them.

As a general rule, I'd say that any stores showing an even multiple of 36 remaining probably hasn't got them out on display yet.

  • 5 available at Bunnings Rocklea, just grabbed one.

  • Big pile at Bunnings Mentone yesterday

  • +1

This deal is still on and it is an absolute bargain.
