Boost Mobile $200 Starter Kit for $161 Delivered @ Luckymobileau eBay

371

Thanks to dealbot's earlier post today
SB eBay flash sale of 12% with $20 Cap ($19.32 Cashback)

Pretty decent deal if you need one soon.
Available from other sellers too

Only problem IMO is all the ones on eBay are all expiring Bonus data on 26/9 that's like less than 2 months away.

Most sims from other sellers seems to be around the same expiry date of August 2023

Otherwise $141.68 for Boost $200 prepaid kit not that bad. (Combine that with any eBay GC discount at very least 3% from SB, So ~ 3% of $140 is $4.2. So you can easily get them for paying as little as $137.48 right now (after considering Cashback amount)

And if you happen to have any SB targeted promos like spend X to get Y, on eBay or site wide (like new user/ or rare use scenario etc. which I aint got a clue about) combine that here too.

Don’t think you can include cashback in title

  • -1

+1 for calculating cashback amt correctly (-GST)

    • +1

      (161/1.1) x 12% = $17.56 cashback exactly

      • i revoke my vote in that case ;) bought from another seller on ebay with ebay plus

      • ?? Its not a chinese seller, so GST wont be excluded in the cashback tracking.

Most Australian sellers on eBay will not attract that 10% deduction on Cashback (for GST)

  • can we "recharge" a currently about to expire boost prepaid plan with this?

    • You have a chat with online reps , they will recharge the current plan .

    • i've done it once and they let you but needed to online chat to them

  • To confirm we have to Aug 2023 to activate if not interested in the bonus data?

    • I think boost has made it 30 GB standard + bonus data.

Worst case scanario is boost never ends up giving bonus data on the starter kits (unlikely IMO if they did so they'll surely loose a lot of customers). What's more likely is they change the amount of bonus data ( e.g. 70 GB instead of 140 GB etc)

pay $0.82 more and price beat lucky mobile's website at Officeworks.

  • You can't use these to recharge and keep the same number can you?

    • You can via online chat

  • I am keen to understand the business model of selling SIM cards of Optus/Telstra/boost etc. and wondering if any advice can be provided openly on this community form or via DM.

What sort of profit margin can one anticipate, how much capital investament would be required (guesstimate) to sell SIM cards and mobile connections via an e-commerce setup instead of a physical shop. Happy to undergo a training course or something similar to understand the ins and outs of this setup to workout whether it is for me or not. I am not interested in becoming a business like vaya/boost/libara etc, just interested in selling their SIM cards/connections/renewals at a cheaper rate.

If this topic is not suitable to be discussed openly or belongs to a different thread then please take necessary action to delete or move it as appropriate.

    Thank you

    • You know they sell at a price higher than telco sold to them, so they will have a profit, profit margin is business secret. If the telco have a promotion, then they can sell even cheaper as their buying price is lower.
The sim selling business is like most retailer business.

      • I get that, but how to buy cheaper from telco's directly? I don't want to go to Coles or Woolworths on their special days, just want to buy cheaper directly from big telcos or their resellers at a wholesale price and then sell them at retail cost with whatever profit margin I can afford.

  • SB didn’t track as I used other offers in eBay so it’s incorrect to say to combine with other offers.!

  • What's SB?

    • ask gotyourback that question

    • ShopBack

  • Tracked as $19.20 for me.

    • May be SB is having troubles due to any currency conversions ?? I think

but at least thanks for confirming this aint right.
