Did anyone have any luck searching? Say I'm interested in Kota Kinabalu, is that BNE - KL - KK - KL - BNE? Not having much luck with the search.

By the way, the cheapflighthunter link doesn't work.

Is it unusual that it would be PER-KUL nonstop?
Where exactly would you stop on that flight - especially with Malaysia Air?

    • Why would you want to stop?
If MAS can fly from ADL, MEL, SYD non-stop to KUL, and those are cities that are further away, why would they add a stop for PER-KUL?

    • Why is it unusual?

It isn't. Not in the least.
        Which is why I asked.
And yet for some reason OP highlights this aspect as though it is some type of benefit…

        • The OP didn't highlight only Perth that is nonstop, but all the other cities too.

It's highlighted because some airlines may offer flights to KUL via stopover points (such as Batik Air which flies to KUL via Bali).

Not with Malaysian Airline for ever no way

Just FYI MAS has really dropped their game and is more like a budget airline. They charge extra for seat selections and check-ins, and will weigh your hand carry bags. Someone I know had to fork out $300 extra for their carry-on. Not something I'd expect from a full service airline.

Some of the legs in the link do not include carry on luggage. You have to pay extra. MH have really gone budget. They are even removing in-flight entertainment on their 737s.

    • Wtf were you carrying 😜🤣🤣🤣

    • Unfortunately a number of legacy airlines are no longer full service, with charges for seat selection and/or checked luggage.

The legacy US carriers charge for both, while ironically Southwest (considered a low cost carrier) includes two free checked bags regardless of fare type or frequent flyer status.

    • Weigh carry-ons? Have you had this happen?

My parents travelled a month ago + some relatives that flew this week confirmed they did that at the Melbourne airport.

  • I would rather fly SQ to Singapore and take a short flight to KUL/LGK (if that is your intended destination..). Similar prices

I was traveling with them 3 times and their products & services were great.

  • Last week flew with MH. Absolutely horrible services..Never travelling with them again.
