  • I assume you'd need a bigger PSU than 750w to use this?

I think it depends on what else you're running in your PC. I'm going to try this card with my 650w and make sure you have 2x8 Pin connectors on your PSU.

I had a 6900XT running VR with a 5600X CPU, believe it or not with a SFX600 PSU. Measured draw, was within limit, but I deliberately didn't use synthetic benchmarks.

Since I've moved it to a 750W SFX, it's not skipped a beat.

        That's with Asus TUF 6900XT

        YMMV

        • I plan one day to turn my main pc into two seperate machines. Right now it's both my Plex Server and gaming rig. Does the 6900XT get warm in many ITX cases?

          • @pableeto: Lot of variables, which card? Which case? How much airflow? How much room in the chassis? What fans you using, and how many, and what orientation?

Is totally doable to have a high end itx build that's breathable and works well, but requires some thought.

@Oxxy: I'd say this card in an NR200 with roughly 2 fans and aircooled non-k intel CPU. I've only built full atx towers before and I've had friends complain about heating all the time, i guess the heat generated from a small case is bound to happen

              • @pableeto: I had my 6900XT TUF in an NR200, had to nearly pull the chassis apart to fit it. It technically fits, but i got seriously nervous, there is very, very little spare room.

It was doable, but temps were higher.

This card might be slightly smaller?

                • @Oxxy: Wish my luck then. I'm hoping it won't be just as bad to put in.

750w should be fine for most systems I would think. I ran a Asus TUF 6900 XT on 650w and it worked okay, but I didn't have too many other power hungry components.

    • Thanks all. For some reason I recall reading somewhere that you'd need at least a 850w PSU to run this.

Looks like I should be fine running this on a 750w PSU paired with a 5600X then.

Mwave has as well, maybe closer for some for C&C. Free shipping on items over $150

"Call for stock" with Centre Com means they don't have stock. I don't know why Centre Com bothers with those satellite locations. I guess they must make big margin off of laptops and prebuilts to make it worthwhile.

Good deal for a great GPU. This one is also under 300mm unlike most others (eg ASUS TUF) so a much better fit for smaller cases.

Seems like this is the standard price now, will be interesting to see how long it takes to push below the $1k mark.

      $999

      • Can't even buy a wizz fizz with that saving lol

Multiple retailers at $999…we're not at the bottom yet.

    • That's what everyone said about the TUF model, which then sold out and hasn't been offered for $999 since.

      • And that's why I'm not a millionaire stockbroker.

  • Does anyone know why Nvidia card still keep the price well compared to the top tier Radeon cards?

I have been HODLing for over 4 months (Currently using RTX2060 super) so not in rush to jump in, and all I want is a decent brand 3080 under 1K (not like recent PNY card which is just too ugly).

If the price won’t drop further then I will probably HODL for 4080 next year.

You answered the question in your own question - you seem to only be interested in Nvidia cards. Lots of people are like that - and hence Nvidia cards are in higher demand, and command higher prices.

DLSS, Nvidia AI & Machine Learning, Geforce Gamestream.

Although AMD has FSR 2.0, it's still immature relative to NVIDIA's DLSS.
