Both are last years models I think. But 1000 more is worth it for an oled.
whats this years Sony OLED improve on?
A9G is an OLED from 2020. Pretty damn old stock now.
X95j is roughly 12 months old

Depends on your use. If going for the a7g you won't ever have VRR, which can be useful for new consoles or PC. Otherwise still an excellent tv
X95j Available in Victoria aswell. But you need to pick up from Altona.
Better to call first. It may be the only stock or display.

All the best. I bought the same model last year for $3488 but I added extended warranty. Love the TV. It's not oled but good enough n better TV in well lit room
@Bargain-er: Only 190 nits brighter, but the x95j has worse glare, so really not much of a difference considering the massive benefits of oled.

They're not shortages they're EOL… the new models have been out for 1-2 months now….. But yeah let's go with that

… they probably had one or two actually in-stock probably ex returns and head office has reduced the price to clear them, they're not holding stock other wise they would have them at their warehouse… and not in actual stores as they take up too much room ! I used to work at JB for 5 years in the tv section they aren't holding stock they are just lazy with their inventory and pushing to clear old stock..

If you think "was only around $1200", yes OLED is better but OLED wasn't as bright as the Sony, so no good if you have a bright room.
