[Android] Grindr XTRA/Unlimited - Monthly TRY₺109.99 (~A$9), Yearly TRY₺569.99 (~A$47), VPN To Turkey Required @ Grindr

2840

Well I expect this deal to be the greatest upvoted of the century but only time will tell! Ill let all the comments speak for themselves. But….if you have nothing better to do tonight. :D

Keep the trash talk out of here - after people cant honestly keep it out of here for a deal - I feel I need to show an edit at the lack of moderation going on here and possible discrepancies at other deals and this. Providing an explanation or understanding (at a minimum) as to why moderators are letting personal opinions of sex, religion etc into a deal is extremely poor on my observation. I have also sent a PM to the mods who have not responded.

Comments like:
BiG BoY on 20/08/2022 - 15:08 "Disgusting"
jonathonsunshine "all men are beasts that crave young flesh"
grasstown on 20/08/2022 - 13:43 " The lifestyle is not glamorous… It is just misery", "What does the lifestyle do for their self worth?"

This is extremely inappropriate and discriminatory and being left up on the boards attempts to justify people being ostracised for their sexual orientation.
Do better mods.

Similar to the other deals with a VPN required.

EDIT: A request for a description of the app: "The worlds largest social networking App for gay, bi, trans and queer people."
EDIT 2: I have put the main page as grindr.com this leads to a yellow face page and hopefully the flag which should then not be censored. Mods can review that.

Grindr 1month 3 months 12 months

Discounted Price TRY₺109.99 / AUD$9 TRY₺234.99 / AUD$19 TRY₺569.99 / AUD$46

Step 1: Change your Google payment profile to Turkey. If needed, use a fake address simulator like this one (bestrandoms.com)

Step 2: VPN (fly) to Turkey and log into the Grindr app (I used the free Windscribe Chrome extension, or use a different VPN) if the currency is shown in Turkish Lira, you've hit the jackpot

Step 3: Subscribe to the plan of your choice. Use a credit/debit card (preferably with no international fees)

Step 4: Fly back home

      Why is this upvoted? The lifestyle is not glamorous.

      What does glamour have to do with it being a deal or not? I'd argue that the four unused Eneloops in the back of the kitchen drawer are fairly boring without festivals and rainbows too.

      • -6

        The Freddy mercury bio film perfectly shows how empty Freddy’s life was with worldly pursuits - the live aid event, was Freddy motivated by helping those in need, or motivated by the praise of others? the movie showed the latter. The movie perfectly shows how pointless such an existence is

    • +2

      I reported your post as it adds nothing to the deal and is also a personal attack on people who are LGTBI+. The fact mods havent removed it yet is concerning as you state its a "misery" of a lifestyle. I have a great life thanks, keep it about the deal. Your obvious bias towards LGTBI+ people does not need to be included here. Your homophobic comments do no resemble that of society anymore. Hence the (currently -20) downvotes.

      • -3

        My views do resemble society. Go post the deal at your workplace, to your friends and family, to your community. I assure you it is confined to the darkness of the web and secret lives.

        • In Australia and fortunate for the people who live here your views do not resemble society. "Pew Research poll, 79% of Australians agreed that homosexuality should be accepted by society."
          It is people like you who force people in to secret lives for fear of ostracism or bullying.
          It is acceptable to be LGTBI+ in society now days and if you think it isn't, either you're cultural or religious background is misinforming you.
          Otherwise we wouldn't have so many people supporting and showing acceptance. The obvious -20 down votes doesn't seem to be resonating with you?
          I'm sure your comments will be removed soon anyway. "Pointless existence" is absolutely terrible comments to be making about people's lives.

          • -1

            @XCelR8: We are talking about the lifestyle promoted in the post. The lifestyle Freddy mercury led. Random sex lifestyle.

            • @grasstown: Then delete your post, your comments about lifestyle have no relevance in a deal post. Its not your right to tell a group of people who are marginalised that their lifestyle is a misery.
              A promiscuous lifestyle is none of your business and have no bearing on whether its a deal or not. I didnt see you commenting the same thing about lifestyle on the Tindr post? Homophobic much?

              Again your attitude towards homosexuality is not the norm, same as "the ideology of the perfect family" has changed towards single parenting becoming more accepted. You can't seem to accept that?

              "A comparison of attitudes in 2005 versus 2015 shows that both men and women are now more likely to agree with the statement: “Homosexual couples should have the same rights as heterosexual couples do.’’ With scoring ranging from 1 (strong disagreement) to 7 (strong agreement), men’s attitudes have shifted from 3.3 (2005) to 4.8 (2015), and women’s attitudes from 4.0 (2005) to 5.3 (2015).

              The results also show we are now more positive about unmarried couples living together and women raising children as single parents."
              From Melbourne university.

    I hope the mods keep this deal up despite the 11 reports as of writing. Numerous Tinder deals have stayed up, so why should this not?

    Also bets on that 7 of those reports came from Manly.

  • +35

    Wow, so many homophobic comments.

    Many tinder deals have been posted in the past and were not removed. What’s the difference here?

    I really do hope that the mods team remove the vile and homophobic comments on this deal. If people feel the need to spew such awful comments instead of scrolling on then they shouldn’t be allowed to comment.

    Also as mentioned by another commenter the pride flag really should not be marked as NSFW….

    • +2

      If people feel the need to spew such awful comments instead of scrolling on then they shouldn’t be allowed to comment.

      If people feel the need to get so flustered at comments they don't like instead of scrolling on then they probably shouldn't be on the internet.

      • +2

        Nothing better to do than subpar trolling on a Saturday night? The majority of people on OzBargain form a great community and don't want people like you leaving inappropriate comments with no consequences.

        • Stating the obvious fact that the internet, a global network, has varying opinions on it and maybe one shouldn't get their panties in a bunch upon seeing opinions they don't like? Trolllll

          Lol K. I guess that's what a generation growing up on sanitised, overly-moderated social media gets you.

            @GS9891:

            "Need to check but might be the all-time lowest price on monkeypox, amazing deal OP!"

            You could have kept scrolling though decided to be an arsehole. Having an opinion and being an arsehole are two different things - don't get upset when called out on your bullshit.

            • +2

              @Marrk: Not even an opinion really, according to the WHO an actual fact, sorry if the truth hurts. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

              But thank you for proving the point again that if half the people here visited the 90's internet (or even late 00's Xbox Live) the levels of screeching from the east coast inner-city suburbs would probably be audible from the top of Ayers Rock.

              • +4

                @GS9891: Monkeypox stats have nothing to do with it, feeling the need to comment on a gay/bi social network deal about monkeypox is what makes you a troll.

                It's cute that you think I am new to the internet, people like you go around calling people snowflakes over one thing and then act all offended about even more ridiculous things.

                  https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-08-20/victoria-melbourne-mo…

                  This is basically like advertising a mass-rave event during the peak of COVID.

                  It's cute that you think I am new to the internet

                  Never implied the such, it's all about one's present state of mind. Plenty of seniors out there have drunk the woke-aid too, and even if they were once reasonable people, will today join in on the Oppression Olympics that's the current hotness around the place. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

                  • +1

                    @GS9891: So let me get this straight. It’s existed for over 50 years in Africa. Haven’t you targeted the wrong population with your comments?

                      @2024:

                      Haven’t you targeted the wrong population with your comments?

                      It's long been endemic there yes, but the current mass-outbreaks in new regions where it was not are something else entirely.

                      Associating it with the gay community

                      When 95%+ of recent cases in this country and other developed ones have been exclusively among that community, to not associate it with that group for simple feel-good reality denial is a disservice not only to the truth but also to that community itself, as they're the ones who will suffer if not properly informed of what's going on.

                      • +5

                        @GS9891: Anyone can suffer from it. It’s colour blind. It doesn’t care about sexual orientation.

                        To associate it with a subset of a wider community is a disservice to the whole community. Indeed, our whole community is vulnerable, not just the subset.

                          @2024:

                          Anyone can suffer from it. It’s colour blind. It doesn’t care about sexual orientation.

                          Except it's staying largely (again 95%+, ninety-five percent, that's not a statistical anomaly) in one specific group. And guess why, because it does care about orientation as the transmission route is not airborne, and recent investigations are pointing to simple object transmission being quite rare also.

                          Indeed, there's one particular transmission route-up-the-chute that is common among that group, but that most heterosexual couples are not exposed to, which is how the stuff spreads so quickly among that group.

                          • +2

                            @GS9891: Really? So the kids in Africa getting this are having lots of gay sex? Is that a fair assessment of what you’re saying?

                            Seems to be in stark contrast to the position of the CDC

                            • -1

                              @2024:

                              So the kids in Africa getting this are having lots of gay sex? Is that really what you’re saying?

                              Considering the levels of child abuse in undeveloped nations, probably more likely to be gay rape sadly. But again you're comparing historical endemic infection levels with what is a new epidemic in places that it has never been a problem.

                              And all the politically correct gov advice won't change reality, hell even pride events are scaling back and telling people to watch out, and even the left-wing US news is starting to admit reality: https://www.nbcnews.com/nbc-out/out-health-and-wellness/sex-…

                              Believe whatever you want, but numbers don't lie. You don't get a disease consistently remaining in one particular group (to the tune of 95%+ again) without that group having a particular trait promoting transmission which is largely not found outside of that group. No amount of cognitive dissonance will change the math.

                              • @GS9891: It’s early days for the rest of us.

                                1st March 2020 (over 3 months in) - over 90% of Covid cases were Chinese. It was pretty much stuck in that group for quite some time. Was it their skin colour that had them so over represented in the statistics?

                                • +1

                                  @2024:

                                  early days

                                  It's been about 4 months since it's been in the news, and it's a pretty damn noticeable disease (unlike a respiratory illness that can look just like the flu). If it was surging among other communities, we would know about it by now yes. Again, the math doesn't lie no matter how uncomfortable it may make you.

                                  Was it their skin colour that had them so over represented in the statistics?

                                  Chinese isn't a skin colour. But that early over-representation certainly pointed to where the disease originated, and had the world closed borders to them faster instead of umm'ing and ahhh'ing about raycism it would've been more easily contained probably, yeah.

                                  • @GS9891: So the thing is roughly 5% of the population identify as gay.

                                    1/3 of women have had that kind of sexual activity in the past year.

                                    I would bet that there are more heterosexual people doing it “up the chute”, as you put it, in bed in Australia, tonight, than gay.

                                    • +1

                                      @2024:

                                      So the thing is roughly 5% of the population identify as gay.

                                      And yet they're 95% of monkeypox infections, incredible yes.

                                      1/3 of women have had that kind of sexual activity in the past year.

                                      Now divide that by the fraction doing it with a man who has also stuck it up another dude's chute. That limited cross-over is probably that remaining <5% getting it from the 95%+.

                                      The not-even-3-day-old article linked again spells it out in detail, but a good excerpt:

                                      an expanding cadre of experts has come to believe that sex between men itself — both anal as well as oral intercourse — is likely the main driver of global monkeypox transmission.

                                      So go ahead, put your fingers in your ears and ignore reality, the only ones who'll actually suffer are that group anyway (and the other 5%~, many of whom are likely mixing with them anyway). ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

                                      • +2

                                        @GS9891: The NBC article - the last line, it rings true.

                                        That ABC article listed what, 40 infections?

                                        Pretty small sample size.

                                        But let’s look at what you’ve done. You’ve associated getting monkey pox with using Grindr.

                                        You’ve confused 95% of infections are gay, with 95% gay are infected.

                                        It’s a pretty abhorrent mistake tbh

                                        Let’s just do some very rough crappy maths

                                        6.5 million ppl in Vic - 5% gay = 325,000

                                        95% of 40 infections = 38 gay

                                        38 people out of 325,000

                                        .0117% of the gay population has reported the infection

                                        Your whole rant is based on .0117%? lmao

                                        • +1

                                          @2024:

                                          Pretty small sample size.

                                          Aus cases are just ramping up obviously. But no reason to expect it to be any different than the outbreaks in other developed nations which have all followed the same pattern.

                                          You’ve associated getting monkey pox with using Grindr.

                                          I've associated it with the promiscuity in the gay community (which as the NBC article, and simple math, lays out, does seem to be where the stuff is happening). And Grindr is a hookup application for casual gay sex. As such there's no real 'association' that needs to be made, it's essentially one and the same thing.

                                          You’ve confused 95% of infections are gay, with 95% gay are infected.

                                          Never said 95% of gays are infected, we've been talking about case numbers the entire time so obviously the former. In fact my last post literally stated: "they're 95% of monkeypox infections". Cool math based on your own misapprehension though.

                                            Need to check but might be the all-time lowest price on monkeypox, amazing deal OP

                                            and this

                                            Who wouldn't be afraid of monkeypox? Have you seen the pics? Nasty stuff.

                                            You based these on .0017% lol. Lmao even

                                              @2024: Yes, and? The OP of this comment chain quoted that one too, very good. Still waiting for the point though. Like I told him, advertising a gay hookup app while an epidemic almost exclusively affecting that group is ramping up is basically like advertising a rave during COVID.

                                              Feel free to address any of the actual points in the previous post also, or just keep hunting for non-gotchas I guess. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

                                              Yes, that's how epidemics work mate, as in the U.S. just give it time~

                                                @GS9891: I thought the point was clear - my mistake if I don’t communicate it clearly to you.

                                                You have NFI. And the people that get paid to look into this stuff? That work for CDC. WHO. The people that publish papers, guidance. They don’t know: and they at least have the grace to say that.
