    Light Bar $58.50

    How much does it weigh?

    • +6

      its light

    • m = E/c^2

      • -1

        relatively speaking of course…

  • bear with me

    DONE

    Kmart has one for $9
    https://www.kmart.com.au/product/led-monitor-light-43030521/

If you are able to find stock

Anko Kmart $9 LED Monitor Light Review I still love my monitor. No, thank you. :)

      • +2

I would save my eyes for not watching the every 3 seconds lost focus video… XD

    • +1

bought this one as a light for my Ender 3 Max, does the job perfectly, would not use on my monitor though as it does not direct the light from what I can see, it just shines down. I wouldn't trust the clamp as well, spend a bit more and get atleast the Baseus one

    • +2

I have the $19 one with webcam

      https://www.kmart.com.au/product/led-monitor-light-with-webc…

      Works surprisingly well

  • This or Baseus one? It's about $10 cheaper on eBay and Amazon.

    • +1

      I bought these https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/716557
Works fine. Only tried the 1 unit out of 2 I bought.
Nice shielding of the light from hitting the monitor.

    • +1

I have both. Just buy Xiaomi one. Much better

      • +1

Agree. I got both and prefer Xiaomi. Baus mount is too hard, it may damage your led panel.

        • +1

I have the baseus on the 24G2 and had issues with the clamp and it not staying and pinching the top of the panel, ended up putting something firm in the middle of the clamp so the mount would stay open. It now rests on top of the monitor and just secured it with some tape so it doesn't move around. Been working good for months now

The wireless remote is worth the extra $10 on the Xiaomi

  • So tempted to buy >;(

  • +1

costs twice than my monitor :P

  • +2

Can you use it as piano light?

  • I have this one and the cheap Kmart one, save your money get the one from Kmart.

The Xiaomi have wireless controller, but it's round, 1/2 of the time when trying to turn ok the light by clicking on it, it doesn't work, bad design, if you do decide to design a round controller, make it touch sensitive to turn on/off.

    • You must have a bum unit. Mine works flawlessly.

Save your eyes from glare by adding a light in front of you? I don't get it. If you want to light up documents a simple desk lamp does the job without stressing your monitor in ways it wasn't designed to handle. Is this just a decorative thing?

  • I've got this and am pretty happy with it. Doesn't glare off the monitor, and it doesn't expose your eyes to glare either. It does reflect off any screened devices on your table, however eg an e-reader or iPad, because of its centre position.

Just FYI for anyone interested, this is the previous model (MJGJD01YL).

There is a new model out: MJGJD02YL

The differences appear to be slightly better light output.

Here is a link to the new model:
    https://banggood.onelink.me/zMT7/bm1f3h1a

At the time I’ve posted this, the newer model seems to be AU$129, and not in stock.

So this post by OP would appear to be pretty good! But am mentioning the new model just so people know… it doesn’t seem to be widely publicised that there are two models.

    • +1

Thanks for sharing! Looks like quite of bit of difference from the promo photos they have.

      • +1

Ah, that’s a good comparison. Thanks!

I got the new model, just because I had an obsession with getting the latest model.

Was it worth the extra? Prob not… ha!

Also, the monitor light doesn’t seem to be as intense as a desk lamp. I was a bit surprised when I first got it, but then I had no experience with monitor lights before this.

Overall though, assuming the newer model is as good/better than other brands, I like it. I save on desk space and it’s worked v reliably. And I like being able to change the colour temp to suit time of day, etc.

    • Plus, according to https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003917160894.html , new model doesn't have the remote controller but can be controlled using App instead

(although Bangood listing says remote is included (!) )

      • +1

I have the new model and can confirm that it does come with a remote.

        • Have you received yours yet? I bought the new version from the link posted above.

          • @warmfruit: I ordered mine from banggood, but I did see on the aliexpress website that someone provided poor feedback to say that they never received theirs…

  • bought a lot of different ones for the family etc.

Hands down just invest in the Xiaomi one
If you are on a budget, get the Kogan one,

The rest have all died on me. Kogan offers great after service.

  • One thing to take note on these monitor LED lights are the thickness of your monitor.

I've got the Mijia aka Xiaomi one and it doesn't fit on top of my Alienware 38" due to the thickness.

    YMMV

    • would 35mm be too thick? i got the alienware 27.

      • My 38" Alienware is about 4.8cm thick :(

  • +1

Why not this one? Only 36.46 after coupon code

    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003844118117.html?spm=a2…

  • What's the lumens?
Tried the Kmart one and it's brightness is nowhere compare to the BenQ one and decided to return Kmart one

  • They increased the price again. Now it's $67.50 with the code. Really.. -_-

  • And increased the price again … .

    Now $72.90 after discount.

    Something fishy going on here?

I'm putting this store on my blacklist, I suggest all do the same, with practices like this I would be suspicious of their aftersale support.

Note: I was considering this to replace a failed Mi light bar, failed after 13 months.
I'm not sure if this is indicative of this model, but this "deal" has made me look to other brands.
