    Bought 10, thanks OP

    I read the tittle as:
Apple > Fit Pro = True

  • Honestly I thought it was beats made by Apple from the title.

How do these even sound they look nice

    • Actually they are like semi apple as they have the apple chip. Bought one, was going to get new apple buds but these seem better than bland white.

    • Love mine.

    • +5

They are made by Apple? Apple bought Beats a few years back.

    • +3

      They are apple

  • So tempting as I've just been considering a pair of these to upgrade over regular galaxy buds. I want nice music quality and bass. I own an android phone and don't participate in the Apple ecosystem - will this be a hinderance? Might just go with the Sony 1000XM4's.

    • hey mate, I've never tried galaxy buds so can't compare, but they do sounds really good. I've used these with Garmin/Android for a couple of months or so and really like them! I use them running and never have to readjust them, once they're in they're in

kinda can't believe I'm talking up a beats product hahahah

      • How is the mic quality on these, are they good for calls

        • +1

they're alright, I haven't used them heaps for calls but they seem to just pick up everything rather than blocking out anything that isn't your voice, if that makes sense

      • Thanks for sharing your experience. I feel similarly about even thinking about a Beats product but I did have a pair of their wired earphones for years through my teens that were such good quality, I'd give them another chance. Just on the fence about saving dollars getting these or going all out for the Sony option.

        • +2

The Sony's are meant to be the best sounding earbuds aren't they? I'd say, if you plan to use while exercising, go the beats, if not, I'd go the XM4's :)

just sucks with earbuds that you can't try and see what suits you best in store or whatnot, you kinda have to take bit of a punt

  • +4

I have these. Can confirm the best earbuds I’ve owned. Would recommend! Particualrly if you have an iPhone the IOS integration is superb.

  • beats never again, all 3 pairs I got destroyed after 1 year…

    • +2

      how did you do that?

      • +1

I did nothing, the last one I had it the glue simple did not hold anymore, others were made of those velvet plastic and became sticky over time…

        • +2

Pretty sure beats don’t use ‘velvety plastic’ are you sure they were original?

          • @Larsson: yes, got from myer, Beats Tour2 Active

          • @Larsson: and my other pair was a PowerBeats 2 where the connector with the ear just unglued… terrible quality. moved to sennheiser momentum true wireless 2 and seriously, 10/10

    • +3
      • I did, but they refused and said to go where I bought, got my money back in the end

  • +3

These are really good, essentially a AirPods with better sounds and a different shape, it has the same N1 chip

  • Recently purchased some powerbeats pro new for $200, how do these compare? Mainly going to be using the powerbeats at basketball training and I heard they are a solid fit and don't fall out.

    • These are excellent. I used to use the Powerbeats pro but these are even better. I sleep with one in my ear when I’m on call! I’d recommend them

      • Ugh that sounds stressful lol

    • Powerbeats are the undisputed king for staying in, better battery life. Still have these 2 years later and battery is phenomenal. Only issue is when they play up with their battery indicator. It’s like the system thinks they aren’t charged or one headphone isn’t charged, so I reseat them in the case and voila back to 100%. Weird.

    • I had the PBP for several years and recently switched to these - I like these better because they are more compact and the charging case is more reliable (sometimes I found the PBP wouldn’t charge because I didn’t put them in the case properly). The noise cancelling is also good to have. Only advantages of the PBP are battery life and volume control. I also found the PBP a pain when it came to wearing sunglasses and dealing with my bike helmet.

I bought these for $199 via ebayplus a few months ago, they are better than any of the Bose I have or have had, this is a great price for what is effectively airpod internals

  • +3

These are really good. Super comfy, doesn't remotely fall out due to the wing things, I run with them and they don't budge - I can't do that with airpods personally.

Sound quality I'd say is about 90% that of airpods pro. The transparency mode and noise cancellation aren't as good but still decent.

On a 1hr run they use about 15% battery life.

    • Very good review that aligns with my experience and comparison with the Mrs’ AirPod Pros.

  • +1

would get it if it were Kim K Special Edition, need em to match my skin tones LOL

    • I legit love the colours of the kim k ones

The Jabra Elite 7 Active is a better buy for $199.

  • Are these grey import or local stock? warranty by apple?

    • Local stock

  • Got a price beat at Officeworks. Hoping these are better than the Jabra elite 7 active

    • They are heaps better. The one thing I like about both, is they have a real button. All these ones with touch controls suck in the shower or anywhere where you might actually test the water proofing as drops of water cause pandemonium.
Beat Fit Pro sounds HEAPS better. Keen to see if you agree. I returned my Jabras Active 7, after 2 weeks. Sound was average. Cool app but I buy headphones for music quality, battery and fitment.
The jabra fit great for a few days but then the gel tips became unfixably slippery. Weird. No other headphone has done. Sound was average. Returned. You’ll be happy with the beat fit. May have to use smaller tips as the only issue was some soreness for all day usuals but for a couple of hours it’s fine and a trade off I’ll accept for headphones that stay put.

      • I put my cheapo foam tips on and the earbuds feel great in my ears. Will test them out for a run, but feels like won't fall out.
They don't have the EQ options like the Jabras; and can't control volume on the earbuds if it's set to ANC options.

    • Cousin had a pair and hated it.
Returned to Apple, garbage sound, dropouts.
Got the Jabra Elite 7 Active for gym and loves it.

      • So you don't actually have any first hand experience with either head phones?

The Jabras sound good … But they don't stay in my ears when I run. And I run a lot. So pointless having nice earbuds if I can't use them.

        • -1

          Nope, but RTINGS does :)

          • +1

@[Deactivated]: Rtings don't test my ear lobes

            • -1

@mandelbrot: You mean your ear canal? No, they don't.
That's why there's different sized tips.

  • +6

Used to own a pair of these for 4 weeks.
I end up selling it and keep my AirPods Pro.

Here is the pros and cons:

    Pros
+ long battery life (still has 30% battery left after my 4.5 hours long run, streaming music from my Apple Watch)
+ secure fit / won’t fall out easily

    Cons
    - wind noise is very noticeable compare to AirPods Pro
    - accidentally pause music when u adjust the earbuds (due to button design)
    - not comfortable after wearing it for 3+ hours (don’t have this issue with AirPods Pro)
    - noise cancellation and transparency mode are slightly not as good as AirPods Pro (you can easily tell when you are in noisy environment)

    • +2

Almost like Apple secretly tries to make Beats products slightly worse off from the main line AirPods.

    • +1

4.5hours run? As in you do a marathon?!

      • Yup marathon!

    • +1

I wore mine for 4hrs the other day and very comfy, but it's a ear shape thing. Different for everyone.

I'd prefer the airpods pro for the better tranaparency mode, but as they fall out of my ear it made it an easy choice.

  • How many devises can you connect to these earbuds? I currently have a Bose set, they connect to 2 devises.

    Thanks!

    • +1

I believe it can switch between as many Apple devices* but unsure re: none apple products

  • +5

Saw this post, went to Officeworks and got them to do price match. They forgot to include shipping cost in the price match. got it for $189.05. Thanks for the post

  • I still can't bring myself to buy beats lol

    • Do you own anything apple? Lol

      • +2

        iPhone 13 Mini
        iPad Pro 11" w/ Apple Pencil 2
        AirTags
        2x iPads for kiddos
        Currently awaiting AirPods Pro 2

        • I didn't neg you…but beats is apple so your ok to go for it now hehe

  • Are these better then Jabra? Sony?

    • +1

      No, they're not.

  • +3

So tempting but surely the Pro 2 will be announced in a few weeks.

    • Yes at this point in time it may be worthwhile waiting for AirPods Pro 2 to be released, which could be as early as the rumoured Apple Event on September 7.
But the release of the APP2 has been going to happen for more than a year, so it may not happen, and when they are released they will be double the price of these.

  • how are these with small ears? i typically have issues with prolong use/going to the gym and them falling out.

    • +1

they come with different size tips and the wings seem to work well for the Wife and her smaller ears

    • Not sure on these but I am female, small ears, super fussy with fit and really love the Beats Powerbeats Pro with the hooks around the ears. They don't move and sound amazing. Bit more expensive though.

  • How is the voice calling on this?

I like to use this while walking or Casual cycling.

    • +1

They say if you use a lot of voice use the airpods. These are more bassier.

  • Missed out :(
