        No one can guarantee you a price on a domain name for life I'd be concerned if someone did, however you can lock in that rate for five years on registration or if you're in the 90 day renew period.

  How easy is it to transfer away from you? Is there a cost to do that?

    G'day, Yes, there is a cost of the registration fee ($9.98) but the time your domain is registered for will be extended by 1 year, so if you have 6 months left on the domain and you transfer it to Onward, you won't need to renew it for 1 year and 6 months.

    Transferring away is very simple and there is no cost to transfer a domain away from Onward.

    Provided your domain name is not within the last 90 days .au transfers are free.

    How easy is it to transfer away from you?

    When dealing with a .au based domain name it's always easy to transfer it away from a registrar whenever you want you don't even need to involve the registrar's specially useful to know if they become difficult you can always retrieve your password for your domain using the form here and then you just go to any registrar transfer it out.

    Is there a cost to do that?

    In the .au namespace as I said above there is no cost to transfer domains unless they're within the last 90 days.

  Excuse my ignorance but going to register a domain and hosting and I need a business name and ABN..? No other option than to just fill in with junk?
