    How are these?

    • +1

I think if you just want some simple plug & play in-Ear Headphones, these are great. Great sound, but skips on things like quality mics and materials.

    • +2

Bought my wife a set for about $70 a while back and was pleasantly surprised. Seem to be going strong for her. Better audio than my old jaybird x2 or her x3, not as good as my Sony Wh1000xm2.

Feel quite good for the price. Mic isn't amazing.

Some water proofing, good sound. Battery and case seen to last forever. Absolute steal at this price, probably not worth their full price though. Very tempted to grab myself some since the jaybird batteries are dying, but spent way too much lost fortnight and need to be good…

  • If anyone needs a code, let me know, as will not be using mine.

    • gday, I'm interested in picking these up and would be super grateful if I could snag your code :)

      • Flick me a PM if you don't already have one. Code Megathread was started after I posted this, so perhaps you scored one there.

Here come all the leechers that never post anything except when it's time to ask for a code. Or worse, just use a code posted by someone already and don't bother to say thanks.

    • +7

They're probably the silent neg voters too.

      • +8

People who annoy you - those dirty neggers

For those unaware, this is a South Park reference.

  • Is this any good?

  • +1

    Strong review average

  • Adding heat as its cheaper than Amazon, I reckon these would be good for gym etc.
Average review, but for the price worth a punt?

Don't you want ANC at the gym to block out bad gym music?

      • +1

And get yourself one of these with AVC to block out bad gym form

  • I saw in the reviews someone complained about the left charging port. Can it possibly have two?? Never heard of such a thing.

    • +1

Probably means left charging port for the left bud, not two charging ports.

Think these are better? And cheaper.

but they are not Yamaha…You do know Yamaha right? they've only been making music instruments for the last 130 years.

If 'cheaper' is the only criteria…then there are even cheaper ones than your suggestion but they are guaranteed to sound like shit.

Never trust Amazon reviews for rando branded earbuds, they incentivise Amazon reviews for either payment or partial refund.

I should know, I've done a ton of reviews like this, they don't say it has to be 5 star, but it's implied.

      • +5

I gave a garbage Switch controller a 2 star review and got harassed by the sellers with refund and voucher offers to change it to 5 stars for weeks until I lodged a complaint

        • +1

Could you have changed it back to 2 stars after getting your refund/voucher?

          • +3

@shiznit: Maybe but I was so upset I got sucked into the fake reviews I just wanted them to get in trouble

    • Sorry I'll rephrase;
If anyone is looking for a cheaper alternative that serves the same basic purpose, with better connectivity, latency, security and energy efficiency - see above.
Likely downsides are audio quality vs Yamaha (so buy the Yamaha if you want better sound) and ~2 week delivery without Prime.

      • sounds like you are sockpuppeting…

I have a pair of tozos for gym etc. Great for the price. $30 on sale - 1year still going strong.

      Not sure which model though….

  • +2

the reviews are half decent on for this. At this price, for a retail, branded pair…hmmm… might be the first time i use this perks coupon.

Sony, Jabra, AirPods or Samsung. Won't use anything else

    Yamaha good for Hifi only

    • +12

I believe Yamaha are good at making Pianos and Motorcycles too. :-)

      • +3

Yama-yeha are good at making lassos.

        • +1

          Ok dad

      • +2

They helped out with LFA too!

      • also make the most raved about studio monitors, good speakers and great amplifiers/AVRs
Oh and they were involved with making the LFA engine

        • The LFA's exhaust was tuned at Yamaha's music division

    • Yamaha EPH-100 IEM were considered the best sub $200 https://theheadphonelist.com/yamaha-eph-100/

    Doesn't have Band 28. Pass

    • +8

Interesting to find someone else who organises their music by band number. My band 28 is They Might be Giants - so these headphones block them?

      • Yes, no, maybe?

      • You either need more bands or you're too tuvwxyz heavy.

These are tempting for the price. I am in the market for a sub $100 pair of BT earphones.
    Good review here: https://www.finder.com.au/yamaha-tw-e3b-headphones-review

  • Are these good for making calls? Comparing to AirPods…

    • -2

Well they're 75% cheaper than airpods, and making calls is about the most basic thing that a set of BT earphones can do.

      • +7

making calls is about the most basic thing that a set of BT earphones can do.

Lots of wireless earphones have shitty microphones. Being able to do something, doesn't mean it does it to a satisfactory standard.

  • note.. anything without a stick sticking out is bad when it comes to conversation (mic) quality…. even the sony xm4 has shitty microphones..

  • Does the 10$ perks voucher works with that to make it even cheaper? Can somebody please confirm?

    • Why not try it?

      • -1

Its a hassle creating a new account with a different phone.

    • +2

      Nope, coupons don’t stack

  • At this price it is comparable to the edifier TWS1 Pro anyone have any experience?

  • +1

    in-Ear Headphones

So are these different to earphones?

  • +1

A sucker for discounted TW Ear Phones….must not buy!!!

  • +4

If your CommBank cashback offers page has the spend '$50 or more and get $10 back' offer for you, the price can be bought down to $49 + delivery.

  • +1

Any decent wireless headphones anyone can recommend under $100?
Actual headphones not in-Ear type earphones like this deal. Cheers

  • +1

FYI $6 for delivery if none instock around your area.

  • Thanks, got some for a friend.

    • have you received yours yet? I'm still waiting for mine.

  • Apologies for my ignorance.

How do I get a unique code to purchase this deal? When I click on the "Mod: Please add your unwanted codes here".

It goes to a page say access denied

    • You have to be logged in to access a forum page

I just tried it out today, I'm quite happy with it. The resolution is good based on the kind of music i listen to.

I listen to chill/tropical edm (i.e. Ibiza), OST Scores (i.e. Hans Zimmer)

    • Looks like black is sold out, there are 2 other colours however, I've updated the link to show those. According to the terms the code should work with those as well.

      • Apparently it was even sold out yesterday, i went to pick mine up and asked if i could change it to black and they said they didnt have any

  • +1

I wanted black so contacted JB via chat and they offered me these JBLs for $89. Sounds like a real good deal….even though I don't need them. :-)
