First and foremost, YMMV - I might be just very picky regarding sounds.
As my JBL Flip 3 doesn't hold charge anymore, I bought this a couple of months ago for just over $100. I spent hours on Youtube/Reddit to get the best EQ setup (and it makes a HUGE difference), listened to various music styles on both speakers, but I find the Soundcore just a bit too closed and tinny compared to JBL. Even with the "most popular" EQ setting I need to adjust it according to the music genre - the setting that makes classical sound good will make some instruments "disappear" in a heavy metal song. Old Flip 3 just handled it all without any messing around, and still seems to have a wider, more open soundstage (I know the Soundcore is directional but even sitting in front of it at the right angle, the sound just doesn't grab me.)
I'm still using it because I don't have the time/means to test all the other portable speakers to find the Right One, but I'm just not getting the hype around this one.
Have had mine for nearly a year - for the price point, you won't find better.
The stock EQ settings are garbage though - check out some of the ones on youtube and pick the one you like the most.
It's a shame you can't save multiple custom EQ's in the app.

Doesn't look like you can add to google for casting? Just bluetooth I think.
I guess an old chromecast connected to the aux jack would fix that, kind of.
Cheaper over at Amazon. Regularly drops to $109 shipped, but even at that price many users in the comments held off because it has been as low as $80 shipped.
It's not cheaper at Amazon ~at the moment~ or super recently. It dropped to $80 once and perhaps won't again. The Amazon $109 is a realistic drop to expect at ~some point~ in the future, but this is mainly a deal for those who want a good deal ~now~ :-)
