EVGA GeForce RTX 2060 KO ULTRA GAMING 6GB Video Card $359 Delivered @ BPC Tech

82

Best price I could find on any 2060 at the moment, still a good 'bang for your buck' card, the 2060 is #3 on the current GPU's list of card used for Steam, so a very popular card, which also has ray tracing support. Beats most of the prices on ebay Aus sellers too, and they're all used cards…

HODL next gen announcement in weeks time. Prices will drop further.

iPhone 13 did not drop much.

      • +2

Not really comparable. iPhones stock is much more controlled than GPUs.
Currently there is overstock of GPUs and even reports of NVIDIA wanting to cancel orders for silicon for next gen. The supplier told them no unless they could find someone else to buy them and afaik they have not.

        • -3

If what you say was right GPUs would be plunging in price.

          But they aren’t.

          • +1

@Grok: They’ve been steadily dropping. I’m sure NVIDIA and AMD is trying their best to slow the falling prices.
I don’t know if there will be a sudden plunge but waiting has proven to be the right choice. It can only get better with next gen just around the corner

@FireRunner: I agree the situation has changed and prices are falling but they should be crashing.

              And they aren’t.

              • -1

@Grok: stop changing the goal post

                • +1

                  @dukeGR4: I haven’t.

Prices are falling, slowly, they should be crashing.

Everything is working against GPU scarcity yet they are still expensive.

                  • +1

@Grok: doh Musky.. same thing happened with 30 series and 2080Ti..
i.e. 2080Ti prices dropped ~$1000 just after 30 series press release. (within 24 hours in Australia)

and we are still waiting for the 40 series press release..

Good to see the price drops. These were about $800 6 months ago.

I wouldn’t be buying last gen at this price. It’s going to be 2 generations old very soon.

which also has ray tracing support

RT on RTX 2000 was basically a beta feature. It’s especially pointless on the 2060 since the card isn’t really powerful enough in most RT games

    • I haven't looked into it in a while, but as it stands the RTX cards hold a place in my mind as having "features" that go beyond ray tracing… like RTX voice, DLSS, "automatic background removal from live video"… Things like that ¯_(ツ)_/¯
*To be honest I need to get more up to date in the coming months on exactly which cards have which features, and what I need… I tend to prefer to support AMD when I can, but not if they're missing features I actually intend to use…

      • +1

DLSS is nice at 1440p and beyond but not as much at 1080p which is what resolution this card slots at.

On a 2060 super I get ~10% loss with just rtx voice on benchmarking with Unigine, closer to 20% with both voice+background removal on. It's going to be worse with the base 2060.

Background removal is…questionable. It looks pretty bad with black artefacts/lines appearing constantly that worsen every time you move. Just change the focus on your webcam to blur out the background.

Don't use these while gaming unless you're heavily cpu bound.

Ethereum merge expected Sept 13-15. Will it happen this time? Wait a few more days and find out.

  • why buy a 20 series card at 35x?

  • +6

Mid range last gen product should not be this much. Can get RTX3060 non ti for slightly more

    • +1

Mid range last gen product should not be this much

I think that's applicable to all GPUs not just the 2060 because this still offers better performance per dollar than the 3060.

    • And soon to be announced 3060 8gb will be cheaper than current 3060 12gb (hopefully)

  • that's OP for a last gen card I'd say.

    • +1

OP - overpowered / good thing
      OP - over priced

      assumed you meant the later…

  • Wowow , this is still alive….lolol

  • The rtx 2060 KO is actually an interesting card since it's a cutdown 2080. No difference in gaming but has better workstation performance (in some application) than other 2060s.

    Video from GamersNexus about this

Though I'm not sure if that's still the case 2.5+ yrs later.

  • 2017 tech lol

  • Lol. RX 6600 all the way. Not even remotely worth it.
