On your App, second button at the bottom called ‘Earn More’. Click on that and scroll down. Under the heading ‘Giftcards’, there’s the ‘$50 Shopback Giftcard challenge’, click on that.

  • worse case if transaction does not track for us. Can we get a refund on these super swap cards lol?

    • +2

chargeback on ur same latitude 😹😹idk

Hey, we're tracking the completion in the backend and it's nearly done.
Will let everyone know once it's sold out.

Everyone that purchased with an eligible card before the challenge is pulled will receive their $50 bonus!

  • +3

    Purchased 2 x $175 super swap, still no $50, only got email saying 2 x $3.50 cashback tracked…

    • In my case, I didn't received any email confirmation, not even for 2 x $3.5 cashback. But 2 x $3.5 and $50 shown in my rewards.

      • does your challenge shows completed or 'Shop Now'?

        • Completed and I can't see shop now anymore.

        • Mine still shows Shop Now, even though I made a purchase at 10:08am

    • Yo same brother

  • -1

People claimed did you add your card before the deal? Did you pass the card authorisation and verification process. That needs to be done before any payments are released … payment probably still pending until latitude ticks over and approves the verification.

    • +3

how do you verify the card? If payment is pending how come shopback already given me super swap vouchers that i can use straight away lol

      • Normal cards are charged $0 they is a double verification process on the business process - any anti-laundry, black list or details add to the card to prevent fraud and theft will flag.

    • +1

I added my 28 deg today and received the gift cards straightaway. This means that the transaction went through and no verification was required.

  • Used my 28 degree card 20min back. But haven’t received it yet

  • -8

I'll be leaving a claim for goods not received if I don't receive the 50$.

    GYB care to comment yet?

    • It a Saturday … 9am at Singapore they just clocked on if they are working at that if they made that team work.

      • +3

I'm based in AU, I just like my sleep in on Saturdays (call me crazy) heh

        • Can't blame you long weekend.

      431 claimed at 11am

In the same boat, queued 1 hour before 10 AM, refreshed the app, it said "Shop Now" and then proceeded to purchase the Swap card for $350 (without using cashback).

What a botch job. Not sure if Latitude will be willing to cancel this transaction either because technically goods have been received. It is however a latitude financial deal…

    Some potential theories:

    1. They started the backend deal late so early takers missed it.

    2. They didn't load all the BINs (the card prefixes) for 28 degrees so some card numbers aren't tracking.

    3. Some obscure thing about order of clicks or eligibility that has messed some of us up.

    • Probably bins. Probably didn't load the amount number which is what they should use

      • +2

That most definitely on Latitude side. Latitude is paying marketing budget to Shopback to get new sign ups.

    • More verification as its a credit card is think people forget.

      • +1

your theory doesn't make sense mate. If you have to verify how did people get their gift cards and the base cash back tracked.

        • There are three different cards on "offer" mate…

Latitude 28° Global Platinum Mastercard®, Latitude Gem Visa and Latitude GO Mastercard®.

Two different payment providers. Different verification process for each company. For one…

Some may have just got their card and this is their first purchase and have been hit by the credit card according to they limit?

Do the giftcards have value of they pending still on the purchase tabbed?

          • @Sheng: That theory would again only hold true if I didn't have the gift card purchased. I can "unwrap" the card and use it if I want to

            • @lastdawn: How doesn't it? The challenge is a payment process challenge not a merchant challenge. You got the merchant cashback/base rate but not the payment process tracking?

The merchant "shopback giftcard shop" API confirmed the purchased and triggered the tracking event. The payment process challenge for "spend with eligible latitiude credit card" hasn't meaning the API hasn't had an event triggered.

TL:DR. Shopback Giftstore tracked because they are the merchant for the base cashback. The challenge is depend on Latitude telling Shopback Challenge API that an eligible card was used which doesn't seem to have triggered. Didn't triggered perhaps to verification bottlenecks in the API process.

              • @Sheng: That seems like a throttling issue on the Latitude end specifically for the API that was created for shopback challenges. The transaction "API" call worked because the purchase was completed. But this Shopback challenge API from latitude has failed to let shopback know this is a valid card and is eligible for promotion

    • Backend definitely started late

It showed for about 5 minutes as "starting soon", after 10am until shop now button appeared

      • +1

You must be special. Started bang on 10am for me!

        • Same here, and I pulled the trigger at 10:00am, got $50 not long after.

Card has been in the shopback system for some time though

    • theory 1 seems about right, someone bought gift cards at 11am got the $50.

As a test I have purchased 400 worth of cards in another transaction, showing 3xx claimed.

Been 20 mins, no 50 tracked again.
Shows "350 to go" even after the 2% cashback has tracked

    1 hr later still nothing

  • +1

    I think we're cooked boys

  • +2

Same as so many others here. Joined queue when only ~700 registered. Purchased around 10:20am when challenge was definitely live, fully on my 28deg card. Cash back tracked quickly but still showing $0 against challenge and no sign of $50. Looking forward to seeing how SB fix this issue.

    • They won't. They have an easy way out of this, they can just say you didn't purchase one of the first 1500.

      • Looks like they did the right thing afterall

  • Purchased 2 x 175, only the normal tracking so far, in prior challenges, I have seen both normal and bonus appear at the same time.

  • Bought 2x$175 at about 11am. Tracked in a few mins for the $50. I clicked the earn more button at bottom of app after buying that said something about opt into challenges and i sawin there task completed.

    • Same tracked all good. Wake up late is good

    • Did you get the Super Swap?

  • +5

Thoughts on them not loading all of the BIN series correctly - surely unlikely but possible I guess. Any one with 5444 34xx BIN able to confirm $50 tracked?

    • +2

I can confirm card with same BIN not tracked as yet

    • 28 degree, likewise

    • In this boat as well - not tracked yet

    • +3

5444 34 checking in, no track

      • +1

im tracked 5444 34 bought at 10:30 and 5 mins tracked

        • what kind of cards did you buy?

I purchased the super swap and still no $50 track as yet (the other 'normal' cashback has tracked)

    • +3

My card is 5444 34XX and it tracked $50.

I don't think it matters for tracking purposes anyway. If you used incorrect card (e.g. ineligible card) and got $50 tracked, it would have ended up being rejected eventually before being approved.

      • +1

Thanks for confirming. The BIN number clearly matters as that is the only was SB know if the card is eligible. I didn’t think it would be something so fundamental that they messed up though and if yours has tracked, that confirms it’s not a BIN issue.

    • +1

      5444 34 also no track

    • +1

I am in that BIN range (28 degrees) and have NOT received the $50 tracking and the challenge is showing as not being completed

It would make sense if they had missed this BIN as I suspect a large number of OzBargainers would have this card for free overseas transactions and price protection insurance.

It would explain the delay better make than manual approvals being made out of order?

    • Another one in this BIN range, 110 minutes since I purchased, regular cashback has been tracked but not the $50.

  • +1

454 claimed, but challenge is not completed.

  • +1

    Instant tracking and challenge completion.

    • Same with me. 3x $125 superswap cards

  • I just went through it and checked it shows for me as below, guess this means we won't see/hear anything for another week or so?

We’ve received your order details and it is being validated by ShopBack Voucher. You can expect confirmation by 12-10 when our partner store ensures that the order is attributed to ShopBack, and has fulfilled all terms and conditions applicable to the store. Cashback for any order that has been cancelled, returned, refunded, exchanged, deemed fraudulent or otherwise ineligible as per the store’s terms and conditions will be adjusted or voided.

No word from SB as they try to stop this becoming a PR disaster

I don't really have patience when things aren't tested and thought out correctly

    • +2

Good thing your mobile isn't with Optus, then :P

    • There is no such thing as a PR disaster. They had plenty of disasters before and people still can't refuse free money.

      • Shopback data leak

        • Yet here we are :)

Due to the limitation of needing to be in one single transaction and the denominations of gift cards available, the closest is probably 13.33% discount actually, getting 3x $125= $375 (so $50/$375= ~13%). Still a fairly decent deal for Super Swap for Coles, Amazon, and eBay.

    • +1

      Or 2x $175….

    • 7x$50 or 2x$175

  • +4

Ok I’m getting a little concern. Still no $50 tracked after an hr. Wouldn’t have purchased this if it wasn’t for the promo. 2% cashback is poor.

  • Queuing seems to have made it more confusing beause there was no 'start' button, it only said shop now. I checked after restarting my app and there was no change.

    • Some people who didn't queue but opened their app only saw "Shop now" but when purchasing still didn't get it. Its basically a massive stuff up

      • Someone said they didn’t queue, clicked the Start button and got the $50

  • I'm just gonna wait. The Latitude email did say "Once you've paid you'll get the associated Bonus Cashback into your ShopBack account within 48 hours."

  • +1

    uncertainty and lacking real-time updates
    inconsistent /tracking delay
thanks for wasting my morning 😹🤢🤢

  • Qued at 8.30, it refreshed at 9 to shop now, purchased 2×175 swap, only giftcards tracked. No signs of 50

    • +1

it refreshed at 9 to shop now

      Promo start time was 10am

  • Bought 2 X $175 super swap gift cards 5 min ago, tracked and challenge completed. Got the $50 bonus.

Hi everyone, update for this deal:

GYB has advised people to stop purchasing until this tracking delay is sorted.
Also he cannot reply on the thread due to a tagging error on the post.

Apparently SB is sorting out at backend. They will pull the deal. STOP buying after 11:20am.

    • Where is this from?

      • From GYB. I suggest you DM him. They are working on sorting it out at the mmoment. I hope you would be fine.

  • $300+$50, 2%+$50 bonus instantly tracked.

    28 degree platinum card, 5444 34***.

    • I thought you can only buy multiple cards of same value in a single transaction. How did you manage to buy cards of different values in a single transaction?

      • You are correct, I made two orders, I didn't read terms carefully, but luckily multiple transactions were OK for me.

  • +17

    UPDATE FROM GYB

    Good morning Travis,

There's a tracking delay on our end for some customers, we are working on it and we will fix it as soon as possible.
Being a Saturday morning, there are limited people online and I've just messaged all relevant colleagues.

What we're finding is that people who purchased 2 or more cards are experiencing a lag in the challenge updating.
As you purchased 2x $175 Gift Cards, it explains the lag.
Leave it with us to fix.

Also - I cannot reply to the OzBargain Post for some reason.
As a store rep, I can only reply to deals tagged as ShopBack but for some reason, the post is tagged as Lattitude.
I would appreciate it if you could let people know that we 're on it but I just cannot reply at this time - waiting for a Moderator to update the tag of the post.

    • +3

I'm glad they're aware of the issue, but wonder how they'll "fix it". What if, after processed the delayed purchases, the total now exceeds 1500? Will they claw back the $50 from people who purchased later but got tracked instantly?

      • +2

You would have to assume they will honour all up to a certain point (ie when the app shows the offer exhausted. I imagine they have a “oops we mucked up bucket” to cover.

      • I believe they will honor everyone who purchased before they pull the deal.

    • So should all of us contact shopback directly so it can be fixed, or we just wait and see first?

    • Wow, I was thinking to buy either a $350 eBay card or 2x$175 Super swap cards. Luckily, I decided to go for a single eBay card.

By the way, bought at 10am sharp. $50 tracked at 10:03am. A message saying something like successful completed with other 51 participants. I supposed I was the 52nd.

  • Too late now?
    Only 1500 redemption limit.

    • It would be wise not to buy now.
