Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G 128GB $1549 (Less Trade-in Value & $350 Trade-in Coupon) + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ JB Hi-Fi

240

Similar deal to the one being offered at Samsung. Samsung S22 Ultra range is currently $300 off and would stack with the $350 coupon plus your trade in. The coupon and trade in also work for the S22 and S22+ but they currently sit at RRP.

Trade in and bonus coupon offer ends 31/10/22

How do I get my BONUS top-up coupon?
Simply follow these 4 Steps:

  1. Get a trade-in valuation quote via 'JB Trade-in' website
  2. If you accept the valuation, then complete the Trade-in process to get immediate access to your JB Trade-in Credit via email
  3. Once you receive your bonus trade in credit email, you will also have the option to redeem your coupon which will be sent to your same email address
  4. Apply both your Trade-in Credit and BONUS Top-Up voucher towards the purchase of the eligible device

* Bonus Top-Up voucher can only be applied to the eligible devices listed in the promotional offer. Devices not listed in this offer will not be eligible to receive the Bonus Top-Up value. Minimum trade in value of $10.

  • Cheaper from Samsung directly $1499 with same $350 value trade in bonus plus phone value. Plus ask nicely through chat and receive an additional $100 coupon loyalty bonus.

  • how much is the bonus credit and what's the expiry date on bonus credit?

  • Does the ultra's camera have crappy auto focus or is that only on Samsungs mid to low phones?

    • +1

Samsung has fast autofocus for macro shots on the S22 ultra

    • +1

Yes crappy auto focus in low light. Motion blur and focus lag is awful still and unacceptable on a flagship. It's actually improved on the Fold 4.

  • +1

Last time was 500 bonus that was pretty good.

    • Yeah missed out on that one.

  • +1

I know its a long shot!
But if anyone happens to have a coupon code theyre not using it would be much appreciated if you could PM it to me.

Would love to take advantage of the deal but i cannot get the verification to work no matter what device i use.

Have sent squaretrade an email but no reply.

    • +1

I've done a few tradeins via squaretrade and each time is an effort. The UI is just terrible and fails more often than not. My advice, stick with it.

      • Exactly!
Anyone got the trade-in coupon successfully recently? Might I know your trick?

  • Do you have to send the old phone to JB for trade in? (I remember with Samsung you don’t have too?)

  • +1

So i am buying the 512gb model.

    1849 -350 trade in coupon. = 1499
I have a trade in note 10+ phone but was showing $0 value becasue of cracked screen, so i changed it to light scratches and i got a value of 160. Which i wont be getting because of the condition but can still use the 350 voucher.
Then i will apply the 10%off GCs from woolies
    So 512 for 1350.
    Is it a good deal?

    • May I know how can still get the $350 bonus but didn’t get back the trade in one to Jb ? Thanks

      • So here's my understanding. I got 350 bonus credit plus 160 for my trade in phone. So 1849 -350 -160 is what i paid at JB. With 10% off gcs ofcorse.

Now If i don't return the phone or is not in the described condition, they will charge me the 160 back on my card but the 350 bonus still stays. So essentially i got it for 1499 - 10%.
        Hope that makes sense.

        • But just would like to make sure that will Jb charge the bonus back also ?

    • So what happens when you hand in phone and they say it's not valid for a trade-in? Is there T&C's around this? Otherwise I'll just go EPP for simplicity

    Merged from Samsung S22 Ultra 128GB ~$1079 after $350 Trade-in and TCN/Ultimate 10% off gift card stacking

Great Price on a S22 Ultra if you can follow the below:

    • JB-Hi-Fi sale price $1549 for the 128GB
    • LESS $350 from the trade-in bonus deal = $1199
    • LESS 10% from either TCN gift card here or 20x points back from Ultimate gift cards here

Total discounted price for the 128GB comes to $1079.10.

I've been a long-time Pixel 6 Pro user, however had been fed up with recent reception issues so made the switch to the S22U.

If someone could rub a crystal ball and tell me if S23 going to be a big upgrade from s22 ? Camera and battery wise especially. Didn't follow any rumours so far about S23.

      • I am also waiting for s23.. i guess the price will tell because I am not buying a phone over $1250.

If its like $2k or around there ill gladly buy a second hand note 20 ultra 5g.

        • Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 ftw..

      • +1

Cameras will likely be a higher mp sensor but mostly same setup with almost exact same physical dimensions as s22u. Same 5k mah and 8g2 chipset.

        • -1

Wait we're getting the Snapdragon chip and not the Exynos?

I feel like yearly releases of flagship phones have long included minor iterative improvements and major marketing to encourage higher attrition of older models and new purchases. Maybe the iterations were significant during the early days of the smart phone (circa ~2007-2012) but I didn't follow it as closely back then.

I try to exercise purchases based on value, for example a 3-5 year cycle of accumulative upgrades across models while the old phone retains a bit of resale price.

        • Makes it easier to buy a gen or two old phone instead

          • +1

            @krisspy: Yeah for sure.

I buy new models. My rationale is two, first I want longevity from the phone and lower attrition (so higher buy-in but lower number of repurchases), and second I value having the best release as a user and will pay a bit higher in the long run if that's how the math works out.

    • What reception issues with your P6P?

      • Network dropouts. Either the dreaded "!" Indicator or just full bars but data not working. This is on 4G and persisted even after android 13.

        • What network?

          • @Sunny84: Optus

            • @chickenteriyaki: Im getting the same issue with Optus on a S21 5G phone.. typically have to toggle flight mode on and off to get data working again

              • @Sunny84: Difference being that toggling airplane mode is a 50/50 fix on the P6P. More often than not, need to restart it.

        • FWIW I've been having this issue on my S22+ on Vodafone, apparently it's a simcard thing with Samsung (Maybe google too?) They guy swapped me to an eSIM couple days ago, so still testing.currently

          • @SuBw00FeR: They are doing it purposefully to move people to e sim

            • @shegeloaf: Is there a downside to it though? I don't really see an issue with it, no need to wait for a sim, less waste going around, less compatibility issues.

              • @SuBw00FeR: You need to talk with an operator to set up your sim. I change sim every month.

                • @shegeloaf: Ah ok, I haven't done it outside this once. Good to know.

        • Had same issue on P6P for months.
I disabled Private DNS and never had an issue

I don't know if OP's username qualifies them to make such a thoughtful post 🐔

    • This or fold 4? Anybody owned both can share their thoughts?

      • +2

        This.
Folds all have terrible battery. And the big vertical line on the Folds' screen looks very bad.
(I only own this, after thoroughly considering it and fold 3

        • +2

I have the fold 4 and the battery life is good the new Snapdragon chips are quite power efficient.

Also it's 2 different subcategories of phone.

      • Best to go into a store and have a feel/hold of the Fold 4.
I find that in general use I prefer the Ultra as the folded mode of the Fold 4 is too narrow for browsing etc. Mostly because I'm on the go a lot and don't have the luxury of having it unfolded.

If you're mostly sitting down at a desk job, commuting and consuming media etc then the Fold is great because you can really utilise it unfolded.

Also, if you have Android Auto, fold is also okay but if not, you'll need to consider a holder that can hold the Fold (in unfolded state).

        Other things to consider
        - Ultra has a better camera system but it's not super noticeable
        - No pen holder for the Fold

As a work phone, the Fold suits very well as calls can be taken folded up or via Buds and if there's emails, slides or reports /diagrams I can utilise the unfolded state for more real estate.

        • +1

The Samsung wireless charging car vent holder is the best for folding phones as it orients your phone in landscape

      • Fold 4. Sold my S22U and battery lasts longer on fold 4, especially stand by drain is so much better. Cameras are comparable the only big difference is 10x optical.

    • +1

      This or pixel 7

      • Tensor G2 actual performance is unknown at this stage. If it's anything like the current version, then pixel series is HODL once again.

      • Had the same train of thought, but don't have it in me to put up with being treated as a "BETA" user. Has been the same story for 6 years of Pixel, whats the chance next year will be different?

This is from someone who has been a long-time fan/user since the nexus days.

        • +1

Yep. Google is funny in that they take users for beta testers for the software but want flagship money for the hardware

    • is the bonus credit for ultra only?

      • Across the whole S22 range

        • Isn't the bonus if you buy directly from samsung only ? cannot find anything about it on jbhifi itself.

          Apologies to Bill Shakespeare

    • With the trade in, do you need to hand the phone in when purchasing or can you commit to the trade in at store and not send it?

      • +2

You "should" send it back in, otherwise they will charge you for the value of the trade-in.

  • anyone managed to go through with trade in, i keep getting Card failed - Please contact your bank even though my credit card are fine - now also getting invalid IMEI.

    • I did it yesterday and it was all success.

  • I have a question please, I started the trade-in yesterday and received both vouchers ($300+$350), but then i accidentally slipped the phone and the screen cracked, will the JB charge me for the phone $300 for not being in the described condition? Please advise. Thanks.

    • Yes they will

      • Thanks

      • How fuss is the return process with Samsung? do they really care about the phone's condition when they receive it?

  • this or zold 4? which is 1300 after trade in this s22 ultra is 1400-350-450=$600

    • if you can afford the fold 4 get the fold 4. I've heard the Fold 4 is really nice and it has the better snapdragon processor which has less overheating issues and has more stable battery life though if you want the best Samsung phone camera then the s22 ultra is for you but if you want something different, something that stands out and has a better processor it's the fold 4 but if you want it long term I would say the s22 ultra as we don't know long term how the fold 4 bending mechanism will hold. And for such a big price difference I recon the s22 ultra is worth it but then once again for 1300 you are basically getting a phone and tablet in one.

  • Looks like the price is back up on the ultra. 😕

  • If anybody is looking for Samung S22 range, fold 4, flip4 trade in discount coupon of 350$ JBHIFI please dm.
