Just wondering if I could get a visa gift card and use the card to shop / buy other gift cards… it could be a infinite loop until next sunday.

OP what is the visa gift card you are referring to? Im familiar with coles vanilla giftcard but that isn’t available in Woolworths. Also in Woolies faq buting giftcards will not earn you any points???
OnlyONE Visa gift cards.
The issue with OP’s idea is that:
You generally don’t get Everyday Rewards points unless there is a gift card deal at specifically advertises that you will earn points.
OnlyONE Visa gift cards cannot be used to purchase other OnlyONE Visa gift cards at Woolworths and BIG W. If you try to do this, you will get a Cancelled - Items Not Allowed error on the EFTPOS terminal screen as soon as you swipe the gift card.
I went through the terms and conditions for this offer and couldn't find anything about buying gift cards.
Noted, but I could at least buy the gift card > earn the points > buy my groceries and earn the points again.

The reason the terms and conditions of the offer does not specifically exclude the purchase of gift cards is due to the way in which Everyday Rewards has written its terms and conditions for each booster and the overall program..
For Woolworths points boosters, you will usually see a part of the terms that states:
There are a small number of purchases that will not be counted towards the required spend, and on which you won’t collect points. For details, see this FAQ.
For BIG W points boosters, they are even more explicit:
Excludes spend on gift cards (including iTunes), mobile recharge, travel cards, tickets, BIG W Photos, BIG W eBay, donations lay-by fees or lay-by cancellation fees. You will not collect any points on any of these exclusions.
Additionally, clause 7 of the Everyday Rewards terms and conditions states:
This paragraph 7 applies to a purchase except to the extent that we advertise differently in the terms and conditions of a specific promotion.
You will not collect Everyday Rewards points on any money you spend on smoking products, gift cards (including Woolworths WISH Gift Cards, e-gift cards and iTunes), mobile recharge, Woolworths Mobile, travel cards, tickets, cash outs, delivery charges, donations, Carpet Care, lottery products, Pre-order Kiosks, BIG W Photos, BIG W eBay, lay-bys fees and purchases using a Country Age Pension Fuel Card, a charge account, or purchases on an ineligible AmpolCard account. Call Ampol Customer Service to check AmpolCard eligibility.
I’m not going to rule out that some random glitch will occur that randomly causes you to earn Everyday Rewards points from purchasing a gift card with no advertised deal (and it’s happened in the past with Apple gift cards, as an example), but I wouldn’t bank on it.

To be fair, it was because Woolworths in Tasmania had its own loyalty program between 1992 and 2021 (which was arguably better than Everyday Rewards).
Although Everyday Rewards is now in Tasmania, even today, you cannot earn any Everyday Rewards points at Ampol or EG in Tasmania, and you cannot redeem any Everyday Rewards Dollars at EG in Tasmania. However, a Woolworths fuel voucher will give you a 6c/L discount at EG and participating Ampol locations across Tasmania, so it’s not all bad…

I bought ikea gift cards the other day with the plan of earning points but alas no points - obviously only when they have a ‘buy a **** gift card get an amount of points’ deal
