Using the Skyscanner app there is a glitch to get crazy cheap flights to Europe. Will likely get refunded, but you miss 100% of the shots you don't take!!

  1. Download/Open Skyscanner app
  2. Search one way flights to Berlin
  3. Select Etihad flights and Etihad as the provider
  4. Final page price should adjust to ~$142
  5. Cross your toes and fingers that this holds up (lol)

I chose Melbourne to Berlin leaving June 24.09.23 but have seen friends get Sydney to Berlin. Worth trying with other European cities

Happy hunting!

[Price Error] Etihad Airways ~A$150 One Way Flight to Europe @ Skyscanner (App Required)

  • Which date?

    • Seems to be any date (try 3/5). Need to click through Skyscanner on last step to book then it only appears to charge the taxes which is $142 or so.

  • Last time this happened the price was the same buying direct from Etihad

Edit: can you put up dates. TIA

  • +3

    Lol, actually works

    • +1

Can you share the dates and which airport in berlin pls

      • Wait… Did the people who chat to Muzeeb actually end up getting the monitor? 😭 Why did I stop trying! Noooo.

        • 😭 Why did I stop trying! Noooo.

          I didn't even try 😭

    here for the cancellations

    • +48

Here for the entitled people who expect price errors to be honoured and whine the the ACCC about it when they don't get what they want.

      • +13

You know me too well. 😎

      • +1

I won't be running to the ACCC if/when Eithad calls them back in. At $142 it was worth the roll of the dice :)

Do u have a large HECS debt?

  • Good luck op

  • How do you specify Etihad as the airline? Please outline the steps for using the app.

    • +1

I flew with them a few times post covid and they are fine. Planes are pretty new, food is ok, entertainment is fair, leg room is enough for most. It's a similar experience to Virgin Australia's long-haul Dreamliner's.

      • +3

        VA doesn't operate the Dreamliner.

        • Sorry my bad, it was a B777-3

          • +3

@Froot Loops: Don't operate them either! They retired their widebody fleet early due to the pandemic & currently have no orders for replacements. Getting back into that space will take a lot.

      • +8

I don't think that's what they asked, but appreciate the info nonetheless

        • +8

wow, I misread that. Bedtime I think :)

  • Does it work the way back?

    • +1

It's expired and likely you would need a return flight from Europe, which isn't cheap

      • +1

        i aint flying back

  • Leaving 25 November still shows $2.8k

  • +5

You have better chance of winning the next OZ lotto jackpot than Etihad honouring a mistake $142 fare.

  • +2

Seems they've caught on. Not showing cheap flights anymore. Oh well, good luck to everyone who booked.

    • +12

Muzeeb pulled the plug. Doesn't want to get fired after 1st day on the job.

  • +4

Worked for business too. Looks like its fixed now though.

    • How much was business?

      • +15

        $142

  • +11

Lol booked one way havent told the missus yet lets see how it goes.

    • +1

That you booked a one-way flight to Europe and never returning?

      • +2

Can figure out the return leg if it gets honoured which I find unlikely. Would have booked for her also but she has work.

        • +8

So you're one of the rare specimens that return with the milk…

  • what dates lol?

  • +4

Thanks OP. Got a cheap flight. Writing this from Paris xx

  • Clever way to get people to download the app

  • +3

Cheers booked a few business class tickets throughout the year and next year
Will exist in abu dhabi for a cheap weekend holiday

    • +41

Friend: What did you do this weekend?

easternculture: Yeah nah nothing much, went to Abu Dhabi again.

Friend: Again?!? WTF How are you affording this??

      easternculture: I'm a professional

  • Anybody get it from perth?

  • +11

    Use discount code ‘MUZEEB’

  • +1

Now everyone should go to Skyscanner support and try to push this through. Hope you get Muzeeb!

    • +2

Hint: say you used the wrong payment method and would like to be requoted.

    • +1

      They definitely won't honour this.
I'll give it by the morning for all to get an email confirming it has been cancelled and refunded.
      (Unfortunately)

    Cheap flights to Europe WW3

  • +1

How did you find the glitch OP?

    • +1

Important to look for qualityoverquantity in deals

    • +3

Optus hacked it for us Aussies so we can be compensated unofficially.

  • Price in tickets are quoted at full price even though ~$150 was charged. Anyone notice that was well?

    • Potentially might not notice then

    • Is there free cancellation as i didn't enter my card details as it still said the full price

      • No I think I saw it at $220

        • Yeah, not Willing to risk it then unless of course other people still do and they only get charged ~150 still

  • +5

    What's the muzeeb joke?

    • +24

      From this deal

Basically, there was a price error on a 2.5k monitor for $249 and a customer service rep named Muzeeb was able to confirm orders for some individuals which increased the chance of them getting the monitor.

I believe in the end some people who used Muzeeb got it and some didn't while others were able to get their orders requoted by stating an address error or different payment method were able to bypass the mass cancellations.

Meanwhile I was still asleep :/

      • I just saw a post of someone who received 3 monitors. Wt actual f? Lucky prick!

      • +1

        Muzeeb for PM

  • +1

Inflation in Europe now would probably compensate for this price error 😂

  • +15

If this gets honoured I will shave my balls

    • +9

      Pics or it didn’t happen.

    • +5

I mean can't you just shave them anyway?

    • +1

      Marked,I'll come back

  • Crazy deal if it's honoured, esp for business flights.

    • How do you book business flights? I just saw economy and economy plus

  • +1

Cheers, I'll pop over to Europe tomorrow!

  • Aw shieet, did I miss it? my dads in Berlin and it would've been nice to suprise after not seeing him for 10 years.

    • +10

Its been 10 years and you need a cheap deal to justify visiting your dad???

      • +13

He left the family and didn't tell us whether he was coming back… how is this on me when I'm trying to reconcile a relationship. Christ you people are contentious

        • +25

He must have found a cheap one way ticket to Europe like this on Ozb back then. Probably still waiting for a deal on the return trip to come back.

        • +2

He left the family and didn't tell us whether he was coming back… how is this on me when I'm trying to reconcile a relationship.

Is the only thing preventing you from reconciling the relationship a cheap flight? If so Scoot has one way to Berlin from $329.

    • +5

      Still out getting smokes?

      • +1

        Yeah and a cheap scratchie

  • +7

at that price i can afford to send my neighbours overseas …..it’s a one way ticket ……

    • From 2014 though, with the current inflation and covid panini price jacking to make up for lockdowns, I would be super surprised if they honoured a 1 hour long price glitch

  • +2

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11262197/Etihad-fli…

    Made the news…

Looks like it was also available return

    • Lol, wonder how long the glitch lasted

      • An hour supposedly

    • +3

      The "news".

  • +2

A few friends and I got these tickets! $340 return from Sydney to Berlin for summer next year. Manifesting they are honourable for us all xoxo

  • Someone please post a link to the Muzeeb joke thingy. I missed it.
