      • -1

        But that's for 140gb.

        • +1

Yes mate that’s what the user above mentioned they were looking for a discounted $200 boost sim unless I’m reading it wrong.

  • I keep getting an error at end saying this order cant be processed at this time. No other info

    • Same. Looks not working for current user.

    • Hi there! We’re sorry to hear you are experiencing issues while trying to place your order. This is most likely related to fraud triggers that are automatically set in place by Shopify and other providers like your Bank and Credit card in order to avoid fraudulent transactions. We understand this can be highly frustrating when trying to place a legitimate order, but this sits outside of Boost’s control.

Below is a list of indicators that can affect how your order is flagged in different financial systems, which can hopefully help you understand what is going wrong:

      • Are the characteristics of this order similar to non-fraudulent orders observed in the past?
      • Are the characterises of this order similar to an order that was placed recently?
      • Is the card verification value (CVV) correct?
      • Does the billing address match the credit card’s registered address?
      • Does the billing address ZIP or postal code match the credit card’s registered address?
      • Was there more than 1 payment attempt?
      • Was the payment made with 1 credit card?
      • Does the billing country match the country from which the order was placed?
      • The IP address used to place the order isn’t a high-risk internet connection?
      • The browser used to place the order isn’t a high-risk browser

Based on the above, we suggest that you take the following actions when trying to place an order:

      • Check if your ID details are correct

      • Check if your payment details are correct

      • Enter the delivery address manually
      • Try to place the order using a different personal device
      • Try to place the order on a different browser
      • Try to place the order using a different payment method
      • Try to place the order using a different email address

If you continue to have the same issue, our customer service team may be able to help you at [email protected]

  • If you've bought other boost Sims in the last month are you still eligible for this? Seems so?!

  • +1

Just bought last night with $40 cashback.. ozbargainer in me feels bad..

    • Do we have to activate the sim within 30 days to qualify for $40?

      • +1

Must be activated within 30 days of ordering. You can find the details under tips & rates then special terms

  • I'm already on boost and my annual plan is almost finished, can I buy this to top up my existing account for the next 12 months?

    • I use their live chat and it's always worked, they're happy to do it.

      • +1

What do you normally say to get this to work?

        • +2

I have done this for the last 3 years. Tell them you ordered a starter kit but want it on your existing number. And they'll do the rest.

  • +1

What is a better alternative to Boost - doesn't have to be Telstra ? Boost deals are only good for new customers.

    • +1

Try Coles Mobile. Really good annual plans and there's always a plan on special. Now includes voWifi and Volte, roaming etc.
Throw in flybuys deals i.e. spend X and get X flybuys via the flybuys app, works out really well!

      • +2

Also Woolworths Mobile. They use Telstra network, have eSim, roaming, etc, but most importantly the 10% off one shop each month combined with being able to buy 4% off Woolworths gift cards mean that even with a modest household grocery budget you'll effectively pay for your mobile plan over the course of a year… if not come out ahead.

        • How do you get 4% off gift cards?

          • +2

@JHoliday: Woolworths Mobile customers can buy Woolworths gift cards at a discounted rate:

            https://mobile.woolworths.com.au/offers#ongoing

Get up to 5% off Woolworths Gift Cards

Just by being a Woolworths Mobile customer, you can now save up to 5% on Woolworths Gift Cards. That’s 3% off WISH, 4% off Woolworths Supermarket eGift Cards, and 5% off Big W, BWS and Dan Murphy’s.

For existing Woolworths Mobile customers only.

              @wavesgreen:

For existing Woolworths Mobile customers only.

              What about new customers?

    • +2

You can always use a discounted boost deal to 'recharge' your existing boost number.

Buy the discounted sim. Jump on the chat with Boost and they'll happily apply the new plan to your current number.

Done it for the past 3 years. Haven't had to port out.

Anyone know if this can receive SMS's from Australia while overseas? I would only need it if I get a One Time Pin for using a credit card. The Boost site says they don't do International Roaming.

Currently using Amaysim which does do this.

    • +2

      Yes, you do.

    • +1

Yes u can receive sms / make a phone call if your phone connect to wifi. Then it will work like roaming fuction but only work with wifi

  • +1

Thanks for the well wishes. One lift maker used to have a voice saying; PLEASE have a nice day! Unreal, orders by a machine.

If Boost does not give you 5G then one might as well use Belong of Woolworth, the latter giving you esim!

    • Boost has a 5G trial going at the moment until 28th November: https://boost.com.au/blogs/help-topics/5g-trial

For what it's worth, I genuinely don't think 5G is worth it. The speeds are very much comparable to 4G and the rollout is still in the early stages, so coverage outside of major metro areas is very limited. I do admit that eSIM would be a game-changer for Boost though, and I'm struggling to understand why they still haven't rolled it out.

      • -1

5G used to be good before we got a semi communist running the joint. Now you can get asleep with 4th world internet!

  • Does anyone know if you can port an existing number from amasim (Optus?) in?

I was with Boost at some point but not currently, am I a new customer?

    • Yes you can port numbers between different networks in Australia
Yes if you are not currently with Boost then you are not currently with Boost

  • "Cashback is ineligible on prepaid phones, recharges, and any plans or products not specifically listed in the cashback table of rates"

    • So, if you’re currently with Boost, you’d need to port out, then back in, to receive cash back?
