The thirty firstth of Jan 23 i assume?

    • Yes, that's correct. Apologies I have fixed that up.

When is payment made for cashbacks and what is usually the earliest you can then cross to another bank?

Do people churn these offers like credit cards?

    • Yes, churn like credit cards.

Can I refinance if I've recently taken a home loan?

    • +1

i am in the same boat. Refinanced recently but offers are tempting.

      • Cool. I haven't refinanced yet, just bought a house.

    • Unless it's fixed, you can refinance at any stage without penalty (except any discharge fee)

      • Does refinancing too often has any effects on credit score?

        • Do it once every 3 months is ok.

          • @mr_asstight: Care to share your refinance cashback journey? It seems you're all over it.

I'll be out of a fixed rate soon and hoping to do something similiar.

Do you go through a broker or direct?

          • @mr_asstight: Will it affect your credit score if you do it every 3 months?

Citibank have been real easy to deal with. if virgin is recommended steer clear nothing but nightmares to get anything done.

    • Good to hear, I had similar feedback from my clients.

Surprisingly Investment loan interest rate is lower than owner occupied. Are you sure the rates are correct?

    • Apologies, I have fixed up the rates.

  • What is the special cashback offer from Westpac, OP?

  • Do the following products have option to add an offset account for like +$10 a month (e.g. like ANZ) - or is it considered a different product with a different (usually higher) interest rate:
    Citi
Suncorp - 4.12% variable rate for Owner Occupied up to $4000 cashback
Ubank- 4.12% variable rate for Owner Occupied up to $4000 cashback

    Cheers

    • Hi Gaz

It's a different product with a higher rate and usually a monthly or annual fee

      • Ok thanks I'll check their websites for more details re loans with offset. Cheers

  • What about if you are below the 250 rate and have 170k left on the mortgage? Anything appropriate for that thats under 4%

    • Hi

I would recommend to try to increase the loan to $250K if possible so that you're eligible for cashback

  • After refinancing, can I transfer all my offset funds in redraw straight away or do I need to wait for the cashback?

    • Yes you can,

  • To be eligible for the cashback, does the loan needs to be applied before 31/10/22? What is the annual fee for an offset account?

    • Yes that's correct, annual fee for offset is $350

      • Which ATM can be used to withdraw cash? What is the fee?

        • I believe as Citibank is part of NAB, you can use NAB atms without any fees

  • Is this deal only via mortgage lenders? Or can I apply directly with Citi and still qualify?

    • deal via mortgage broker to get both cashback + rebates

  • How long does it take Citi to pay the cashback?

    • Within 60 days of settlement

      • Hopefully it’s sooner. Can’t wait to leave them
