    I like my PPs large

  • In the app it shows 15 for me..not sure if 10 dollars is in store or online only

  • +5

WOW, Nando's prices have up by 20%.

    • That's a lot of CPI increase…
Did the worker's wage increase by that much?

    • +2

Their prices generally? This has gone up 50% it seems. I will go occasionally because the food is usually reasonable, but I stopped going regularly when their prices started going up at the same time their portion sizes were noticeably going down.

    • i think they were selling at $10 last year. hence 50% up.

  • +11

If it is $15, more expensive than Costco

    • how much in costco?

      • $11.95 I think

        • don't know if it's all in my head but i find the costco one gross? idk

          • @Slut: Yeah, I didn’t find it gross but it felt like it tasted different than how it tastes in the restaurant. Maybe because I was using it with KFC chips

            • @Pricebeat: I didn't find it different than the sachet that Nandos provided.

          • @Slut: Yeah, same. Found it waay too salty and flavour wasn't quite right.

          • @Slut: I find the sauces all taste way different to in store. Though now I am curious if Costco is worse then the woolies ones.

        • I believe so the last time I bought it about a couple months ago

        • saw $10.99 yesterday at Costco

      • This was taken from one of last year's coupons. Price probably has gone up a couple dollars since

    • Costco sell the netherlands version, its like buying thailand timtams.
      Nandos factory is in Johannesburg…

      • +1

So this deal is better then?

      • Where do you see 'Netherlands version'?

  • Is it true that medium peri-peri is spicier than extra bloody hot? Or is it just a rumour?

    • +4

Not even a rumor when you can walk in a restaurant and try it yourself.

    • I used to get the mild basting and it varied from no spice to set your mouth on fire from one visit to the next. As you can probably guess from me ordering mild, I like a bit of flavour, but don't like too much heat. I tend to just get the lemon and herb now.

      • I always ask for extra hot and it’s never hot.

  • +1

Is it only medium? No hot?

  • +2

I'm convinced that the Medium you buy at Woolies is hotter than the Hot you get on your chicken at Nandos.

    • Yeah that’s definitely true.

  • +1

This used to be $10 a few months ago?

  • +2

Don’t forget, those with Maxxia meals card get $5 off at Nando’s with no minimum spend. That will make this $10. Not sure if 20% off for Healthcare works will combine with it.

  • +1

    Winner Winner!

  • The free Bloody Hot sauce last month was great.

  • Curious how do you guy store it after opening? In the pantry or in the fridge?

    • +1

      Fridge

    • +2

      From the Nando's website:

once opened, refrigerate and use within 3 months.

    • Just how they keep the open ones at the restaurant

  • $11 at costco

  • +2

Too bad it's only for medium hot. It's just going to tickle my tongue.

  • Does the chilli overpower the taste of the peri peri here?

    • If you ask me, the other way around.

      • If I ask you…then how are you like with chilli?

  • +1

Was $10 less than a year ago. $15 is not a deal.

Last year Diesel was $1.20 litre, bread $3 loaf, milk $2.50 litre…. Welcome to 2022 chief

      • +6

Those aren't deals either. Welcome to OzBargain, chief.

    • Can you get it for less than $15 right now?

  • Hmm not the best deal but I do love peri peri… Medium just isn't hot enough for me, I'm assuming it's not available in hotter for this price?

  • Medium? Not sure I'd bother.

Question is, do i have to stand at an unattended counter for 10 minutes before someone tells me to go to a dirty table and download an app that just plain closes itself after making my selection and has all sorts of issues cos there's no telstra signal there only for the food to come out wrong? I guess the new norm is going for chicken and everyone heads-down on an app for 15 mins in silence trying to actually order some. Nice.

    • Welcome to anti-work, my friend.

  • Any suggestions on how to make this last more than 3 months
