That's like more than twice the price of Novo7 Aurora? A better tablet for sure, but not for the market of those buying an Ainol.

    • +4

Yeah but that is a price difference of $288!

    • Yeh and what's the price difference?

  • +1

Anyone know what the battery life is like on the Novo?

    • +5

it says 15 days standby and up to 7 hours video, this has a hi res 7" ips screen with A9 dual core and Mali400 gpu, pretty good specs, 160 bucks is not too bad but i would wait a bit more for a 3G version

    • +1

I uses Novo Aurora 1, the battery life is about 4 to 5 hours for playing games.

It would lasts longer for watching movies or reading books.

First to mention 7 inch Ainol

Where is the bargain here rep? Not seeing a discount / specific deal tbh

  • is this even out yet? is this preorder? when is it out and if order when will it be shippeD?

    • Hi, Ainol Novo 7 Aurora II is in stock. We will send the tablet tomorrow if you order it now :)

  • Dont you love that it has a 2MP camera and they show a couple talking to each other about half way down and its full screen HD res image of them. WOW thats some amazing tech that is. LOL

    • +7

so you mean those pictures aren't real? I've gotta go cancel my order now. I was only buying it because I thought a fighter jet could fly out of the screen

    • +2

Umm, you do realise that 1024x600 is less than 2MP, right?

  • Not sure if deal or not. With the impending Nexus Tab, this price point becomes the norm.

    • I paid $205 for mine from memory, when the device first came out. Whist the tablet has a RRP of U.S. $99, it is impossible to find stock at that price, unless you don't mind waiting on a list for 3 months.

Only 6 months warranty, send back to china for warranty.

Way too expensive for 6 months warranty only.

Is 6 months warranty legal in aussie?

    • Where are you reading that? "1 Year Manufacture Warranty"

Also, since the company does not appear to be based in Australia, they could get away with providing no warranty if they wanted to.

I bought one of these a few months ago, to see what it was like. Whilst the device has respectable specifications, considering its price point, it is probably a 4/10 in terms of build quality.

    • But this model is just release today, how u u get few montha ago?

  • Does this come with an Australian plug adapter?

  • This is their regular price - not a bargain.

  • Not sure why everyone is getting Ainol about this deal, What you pay is what you get, Comparing Samsung is like comparing a beamer to a kia.

    • Yet both Samsung and Kia are Korean companies

  • I got an Ainol Elf for almost 2 months can use it to play almost any file type of movies, play games, surf web and I only pay A$125 bought from HK while holiday there.

Definitely can't compare this with iPad or galaxy tab but for 1/3 the price i wont complain. As a toy tablet for my son he loves it!!!!

Cheapest branded 7 inch dual core tablet was the Toshiba one for $200 (when it was on discount). It has Tegra 2. Tegra 2 does not have proper 1080p video acceleration.

Also, Google plans to release a 7 inch quad core (Tegra 3) tablet for $199 USD.

If you want a cheap IPS tablet that can play 1080p mkv smoothly right now, this one looks like a decent one.

    • The processor in this thing is equivalent to the SGS2. I bought the Elf 2 which is like the lil bro to this model. As far as I can see, this is a good deal but don't know about the seller.
