  • +7

    Yup . 40gb ram - clicked , checked , confirmed . 8gb soldered + 32gb additional

    • 32gb sodimms are around $130 so its not such a big ask these days

i personally dont see the avg. purchaser of this every needing 40gb tbh

    40gb ram? lol wut?

What is this 40gb of RAM you speak of?

    • 16GB RAM plus 24GB pendrive

  • Odd RAM choices.

  • I saw this last night and had to do a double take also lol.

What use is 40GB with the i5? There must be some logic here?

    • +2

Several browser tabs open would do it

  • would be nice if this is i7 and same price
    Memory Size
    40GB

  • Bizarre specs

"40GB (Upgraded)", my question would be by who? Lenovo or Centrecom?

    • +1

it wouldnt be lenovo becuase those bastards would be charging $350+ per 32gb module…

      • Wonder if they had a bunch of unsold 32GB sticks and thought they might as well check them in these systems.

As far as I can tell there isn't a way to add 32GB to the Thinkbook 14s without going through the Lenovo chat system (i.e. it isn't offered as a standard upgrade).

        • i mean it makes sense

i can see T or X or P series w/ 32gb upgrades but this consumer grade shit???

  • Yeah, Nah.

  • Seems pretty expensive looking at the specs

    • What would you recommend as far as screen and overall build quality goes, for something of these specs? Say, i5, 32GB RAM and 500GB NVME?
I'm looking for one to replace my wife's old laptop now, but struggling a bit.

      Thanks

      • NUC M15 can be had for under $900 but has 16GB soldered RAM and non-touch display. The same seller has an i7 version with touch for ~$1080 after coupons. Again only 16GB but that’s more than enough for most users imo

Thanks. Went ahead and bought it.
          Cheers.

  • will consider if drop below 1000

  • haha guarantee you Lenovo had some CTO order fall through after they made them and sold them off to Ingram, Dicker Data or Leader for cheap
