          Yes, in my case I ordered online so I contacted them through the support page around two weeks after I ordered it, and they gave me the partial refund for the price drop. I'm not sure how it works if you ordered in-store. JB Hi-Fi's page doesn't really have any information on this, so I was surprised when I actually got the refund.

      I have tried to get the difference refunded in the past. It worked for me. They might refund the difference as gift card. Try your luck.

        The refund in price difference is based on how you paid. If you paid in gift cards. You get refunded in gift cards. If you paid by bank card. Then the refund gows to your bank account. If you paid with cash which was my case. They hand you the refund in cash there and then.

      Pixel will definitely have better / more frequent updates.

      I have the Pixel 4 which is close to 3 years old now and its still getting updates.

      I purchased the Motorola Edge 20 Fusion a few months ago from JB, for $249 and it only just last week got Android 12 update. Having said that, the Motorola is a very good phone for the price. Stock Android which aligns it to the Pixel phones.

      The only downside is that it is missing some of the Pixel features, like car crash detect and the answer for me feature when SPAM is detected.

    Ouch. Sucks if you purchased the Edge 30 deal for $349 not long ago. Plenty of stock all around me. This will get even cheaper in no time. It really makes me wonder why anyone would spend more than $500 for an Android phone.

      To be honest, in my opinion the edge 30 for $349 is a better deal than the edge 30 pro for $499. That's 42% more expensive for a phone that's nowhere near 42% better.

        for someone who wants a reasonably decent camera phone
        paying $349 is a waste on edge 30 for that potato camera
        paying $150 more for this is definitely worth it

        Price/performance % ratio doesn't always dictates value in linear terms for every product category
        imagine applying that logic on graphics card

        Up to 150% higher performance in gaming at only a 42% premium. Maybe you just aren't part of the target audience and that's ok, but for those who do play games this phone represents incredible value.

    Just a note that the 128GB storage models come with only 8GB memory options. The higher capacities have both 8/12GB options.

    JB don't appear to sell any but the 128GB though sooooo.

    The odd thing about the Motorola Edge 30 Pro is that it has 8gb RAM and 128gb storage, whereas the Edge 20 Pro has 12gb of RAM and 256gb storage.
