This has been $559 in March, and I really regret I didn't buy it at the time

    • Ditto! I missed that one.. and have been waiting since…. :) $677 seems like new best for a while.

Damn our money shrinks faster than the devaluation on tech stuff lol.

    • We are getting hit by the tanking AUD on top of inflation. AUD is a commodity currency and does very poorly in a recession

      • Commodity "currency that co-moves with world prices of primary commodity products, due to these countries' heavy dependency on export of raw materials for income. Commodity currencies are most prevalent in developing countries (eg. Burundi, Tanzania, Papua New Guinea)."
Congratulations on being lapdog to the US

        • Australia is just lucky we have so much commodities that we are relatively wealthy, even though our wealth is mismanaged and simply given away for free to globalists. We are not much different from those countries when that runs out

  • If you want to try your luck and game the system, I have noticed that the price drops and rises on Amazon and Officeworks for this item seem to be on the same day, and Officeworks moves faster than Amazon. So if you check in the morning that the Officeworks price has gone back up (recent prices are $747 / $797) and the Amazon price has stayed at the lower price, then you can claim the 5% price beat guarantee from Officeworks if you can find one in stock.

  • If anyone has a quote on replacing the screen please let me know where from. Broke my screen 2 months ago and no one seems to be able to fix it (no I can't diy this).

My kids broke my old Duet 2 screen. I was wary of giving it a go, but in the end I bought screen/digitizer from Aliexpress. I used ifixit and youtube as a guide on how to do it, got a kit (pry tools, 3mm tape), heatwheat/hairdryer and with a lot of patience (and swearing) managed it (did I mention swearing?).

It's actually a great screen and works well. But getting the broke bits of glass out and stupid sealing tape was a total pain.

Still, I feel pretty good in a caveman kind of way - "Ugh, look family, me fixed computer tablet!"

      • Yeah, I don't trust myself with these things lol. Besides it'll be free for me to change the screen as I have 28d merchandise protection, so DIY would actually cost me more. Just can't bloody find anyone to do it

    • I also broke the screen (totally my fault in dropping if out of my backpack onto the hard ground). The quote from Lenovo directly was more than the price of the device, so credit card purchase protection insurance gave a full refund.

Good luck in trying to get someone in Lenovo to understand you when you send the photo in. I got asked 3 times to "please send in a picture of the screen with the device turned on - we cannot process the repair quote until you do so" and explained each time "yes, the device in the picture is definitely on is as I can detect its bluetooth/wifi presence, but you can't tell as the screen itself is broken, and you can see the crack in the screen". Meanwhile, the device actually works with an external monitor.

      • Nah the screen is just ridic fragile. I was trying to show something to my husband so I brought it to the couch and then pulled the keyboard off and dropped it on the couch (less than 1m) but it landed on the keyboard and it smashed. I was like… Wtf.

But thanks! I'll give Lenovo a try 😊

      • Hi, I've tried to ask Lenovo and they've ghosted me after asking all my details, is it ok if I pm you regarding the quote?

  • Anyone been able to get M$ Edge to run in Chromebook OS?

  • lol. This costs only slightly more than an ipad magic keyboard.

    • I've got this and an iPad. The lenovo is way more useful
