  • 5MB/s Disk IO?

    • Base plan is 5MB/s, goes up with the higher tier plans.

We don't limit IOPS, which other providers seem to, which is something to consider too.

  • Do you know why you live chat isnt working :) is that normal ?

Mor importantly can you let us know what are the higher limits of Inodes on all these pacakges ?

    • It should be, We've been getting chats today. Let me take a look.

We don't limit inodes on any package.

    • Found an issue on live chat - Should be now active :)

  • I was a former product manager of a major domains and hosting company. This is a pretty solid deal for AU based hosting.

  • So this only applies for 3 years, then it goes to the full pricing?

Also, is there any way to go up a tier down the line while still taking advantage of this discount if you pre-pay for 3 years, or you'll be treated with whatever offerings are at that point in time?

Torn between this and Stealth/Obble, but they offer their rate for as long as you stay with them which makes me feel a bit more secure.

Correct, this is for first invoice only.

Only the offerings at the time, although upgrade offers aren't something that occurs very often.

The problem with that is it's not really sustainable. cPanel prices go up every year, wages go up, and data center costs go up (especially with power) so having customers on fixed plans that never go up generally will end in tears, whether that's they go out of business, sell the business or they force a price increase anyway.

    • Is Stealth/Obble 2 different companies with same parent?

      • Stealth is owned by Obble

      • I agree with the comment that it is not sustainable to offer a set price forever, but it would be good if hosting companies (& other companies), offered a comparable price adjusted for price increases that have occurred, to keep customers in the long term (or even forever).

It is easy to churn, but if one does not have to, then it is easier to stay.

        • It's a tough one because hosting is based on a variable price model, while the cost of hosting might go up a little bit (say 50c - $1), however with more customers, you need more employees, and without a decent revenue, that might not be possible.

Support ends up dropping off and burnout starts to set in.

As your customer count grows, the cost grows with it so dirt-cheap hosting with extremely discounted renewals just doesn't make sense financially.

We've been in the industry long enough to know it doesn't really work, especially with very little AU competition now (versus 10 years ago when there were plenty of providers).
