12.26pm EAST, and web site is till offline!
hopefully, the web site is not offline so as they jack up the prices…

  • Important T&Cs:
The Good Guys $50 Store Credit Card Promotion commences 21st June 2012 at 12.00 noon AEST and finishes 21st June 2012 at 12 midnight AEST.
To be eligible customers must make an online purchase at www.thegoodguys.com.au of $200 or more in one transaction.

The deal should be updated to reflect the expiry is today and not tomorrow.

  • Yeah its purchases online only for those that may have missed it.

  • paypal's the only option for payment via mobile?

  • main site is back up. anyone know if you can stack gift cards via the site?

    • Well, just checked and you can use giftcards to pay online- not 100% sure if its included in this particular promo though.

      • i know you can use it, I'm wondering if you can stack them. As for it being included in the promo, doesn't say anything about it being excluded. Especially since they harp on about it being equal to cash

        • I don't think so. I think in their T&C it states that you can only use 1 gift card per online transaction. Came across this in the old Auspost deal.

        • What do you intend to get. I have some on hand wouldnt mind using up.

        • was gonna get a pana microwave

        • what about more gift cards, with a new expiry date of course :)

  • Does anyone know if store pickup is considered an online transaction/purchase?

you might as well just haggle with them. it'll come down to a similar price

If anyone wants to buy Australia Post gift card off me pls message me. I have $354 credit left. Will work well with the additional The Good Guys $50 Store Credit Card Promotion.

  • How much are u selling them? 20% off?

    • 10% off.

I seen these a few times but I'm not sure how it works - How do you convince the buyer that you are not selling a used or empty gift card? Do you provide a receipt with serial number that corresponds to the card and the card showing a sealed sticker over the PIN number? Most people would want the card to buy an iPad or other expensive white goods so I assume they won't just buy one $50 card?

        • If the gift cards pin are sealed then you can scratch and call to confirm the balance right before you pay.

  • Just received a msg from Good Guys said there is 25% store wide tonight?? so they will end up the same?

    • better than buying online because most "i" products out of stock online but available in store.

    • Can you post it here the MSG ? Is it excluded apple product?

      • Yeah an iPad at 25% off would pretty pretty neat. Highly unlikely though I'm guessing…

25% off an iPad = selling below cost for these retailers, their margins on Apple products are quite thin (~10%). I had to twist a couple of arms to get Good Guys Alexandria to match Apple Store's -$50 education pricing on a MBA (saved the trip to Apple Store).

        • I'm a student and I never go for the Edu pricing on Mac's. Jb's and DSE's 10% off sales are heaps better…

    • yeah any info on this sale? would love to pick up a new dyson - 25% would help!

    • Yeah, which store?

I know its already passed but im still keen to know!

Bonus $50 Store Credit now Extended Till Midnight Friday 22 June.
Click on original link for updated T&Cs.

  • so, can I use it to buy the ipad online and then recevie $50 credit? I suppose that should work.
Also, how do you make the claim. It doesn't say where do you redeem it.

    • Doesn't matter. The new ipad 3 is out of stock anyways. Ipad 2 is $30 more expensive than other retailers. So, doesn't seem worth the hassle.

  • Bought the DC29 for $439 :)

  • Those GC's are just a killer discount thing. You can stack it up with in-store or on-site promos that GG offers. Still, not redeemable in NZ http://www.thegoodguys.com.au and learn to nav the site privy complaints. :D Just check their terms for card use and your set to go. You can prolly cut back more than 30% from your purchase. Happy haggling!
