Microsoft Wireless Comfort Desktop 5000 - $3 - 15 (after Cashback)

80

Looking at some of the other MS Cashback deals that can be had. This Keyboard / mouse combo has RRP of $150 therefore cashback amount of $44.99. Its available at Officeworks for $129 or at Greenbox IT for $49.99.

COuld try your luck at getting Officeworks to PM (may have to include shipping costs, but with the 5% discount and cashback, you'd be getting the desktop set for between $3 and $15 depending). Not bad for a set with an RRP of $150!

They have a shop at Mosman, you can just price match it at the Officeworks nearby.

  • is this valid for ms cashback from greenbox it

  • +1

    Australia local shop no problem.

  • $6 charge for pickup from the shop, and $18 to deliver from Mosman to Sydney CBD via Aus Post….. grrr.

    • +1

      $6 to pickup …… what !!!

      Anyway product not found now.

    • Maybe they don't hold stock of much of anything. Instead of shipping it to you, they have it shipped from their supplier to their store for you to pick up.

I tried to order some things from them once. Nothing in stock, couldn't be ordered in, even though it said 5 in stock on their website.

  • how is that worth $129?

looks like a very plain wireless desktop

may as well get a Logitech unifying which is way cheaper and better

  • greenboxit its dodgy…they never have stock on hand!! and their customer service is none

    • Just print it and price match at OW.

  • The link was working before but it's now "Product not found!"

I think they don't have stock at all.

The microsoft website says : "GET 30% Cashback on FULL RRP" and this is not full RRP so I reckon it is not going to be valid for cashback?
Also the Terms and conditions say valid for Eligible stores only which creates a doubt that is this store eligible for cashback?

    • Officeworks is pretty good at Pricematching. If Greenbox link is now dead, look for the next cheapest one on Static Ice to PM at your nearest officeworks. Might not work out quite as cheap but could still be a good deal for some.

Cashback offer is for 30% of the RRP regardless what price you purchase for (see other deals where you can get a mouse for free!)

      • Have you got any cashback in Microsoft's recent promotion?
I think they have clearly mentioned "ON THE FULL RRP" and they have mentioned the rec. retail price in the list below, so I don't think that they are going to give Cashback on any price less than RRP? (Read clause 9 in TERMS and CONDTIONS)

        • To make a claim you need to:
Purchase any eligible Microsoft hardware product from any participating Australian retailer between 24.5.2012 and 5.7.2012. Participating Australian retailers include, but are not limited to Dick Smith, Bing Lee, Retravision, Myer, David Jones, Betta Electrical, The Good Guys, Officeworks, JB HiFi and Harvey Norman. Purchases made from auction websites, back-orders and products awaiting arrival/delivery are not eligible for this promotion.
Register your details at www.microsoft.com.au/hardwarecash during the redemption period. The redemption period is 24.5.2012 to the 19.7.2012.
Mail your completed online form with a copy of your purchase receipt. Mail the completed form and a copy of your purchase receipt to: Microsoft Hardware Cash-Back Promotion, PO BOX 6066 Silverwater NSW 1811 by 19th of July 2012.
Your 30% of the RRP cash-back will be deposited into your nominated bank account by 30th August 2012.

No mention of 30% off the purchase price. See other threads on same approach :

        • That refers to how the cashback is calculated (ie the cash back is 30% of the RRP amount). This is not the first time Microsoft has run this promotion. People have previously got a percentage of the rrp refunded on items purchased at prices below RRP. Some people have even turned a profit on the MS cashback in the past when buying heavily discounted items. Additionally in this round people worried about eligibility of retailers have sent queries to microsoft with their receipts and have received email confirmation from Microsoft that they will get cash back on purchases they made below RRP.

Long story short - yes this offer from Microsoft is a cash rebate to the sum of 30% of RRP on products bought from any eligible retailer regardless of purchase price.

Don't bring this up again, thousand of peoples claimed cashback from whatever prices they bought.

They said 30% cashback on their RRP price, didn't say you have to buy at RRP.

I just got Officeworks at Preston to pricematch on the phone, upon my arrival at the store, they looked it up on greenboxit again and whalaaah, its no longer there. So dodgy. Luckily I already pricematch on the phone so the guy know it was there.
    After pricematch + shipping charge ($16.5) - 5% - $45 cashback = $18.50
    Not bad
