Lenovo G95 E27 Smart Filament Bulb $5 + Delivery @ JB Hi-Fi

710

Smart Globe with Filament-like LED

Tunable Warm to Cool White from 1800K – 4500K
Programmable and Dimmable down to 10%

All globes link: https://www.jbhifi.com.au/search?query=Lenovo%20smart%20fila…

Review here indicates that it is a Tuya type device

Have these working with Google Home fairly well, still need the Lenovo Link Pro app to setup the bulb to your Wifi network, then use Google Home to link/resync the devices.

Local store only seemed to have the B22 type globes so will use with some E95 adapter's at home rather than to pay postage/pick up from a different store

HN still selling them for $28, might be able to get a price match if you can be so inclined to go to the effort

    JB says

    DON'T MISS OUT ON THIS!
    Get 2 for $15!

I bought two of these in the 2 for $15 deal and they work just fine with google home . Recommend it.

  • No stock anywhere near me in NSW and can’t order for delivery. YMMV

  • Seems only 1 ES (or in reality 0) at some stores.

Checked ES available at local store, but it changed to closest pickup 1500km away when ordering 2! Still shows as available locally…

Ordered 2 x BC version instead c&c from local store.

Bought coffee pods from local JB store yesterday. Not available at many other stores.
Turned out only 1 in stock. Reduced the price - box damaged. Later, found some pods were missing.
So check clearance stock in case damaged!

  • home assistant?

I’m pretty sure Lenovo bulbs are just Tuya, so you can use the Tuya integration or alternatively TuyaLocal.

I’m slowly phasing out my Tuya WiFi devices because I’d rather use Zigbee for reliability sake.

    • I don't know about these specific bulbs but i had some other Lenovo Bulbs (Lenovo C45 Smart e14 Smart Filament Candle) not work with Home assistant when i linked via Tuya a year or so ago. Still works via Google etc - just home assist would not recognize them while it picked up my other
      lenovo strip lights etc.

Maybe someone here has done it already and con confirm with these specific ones (or they have updated since).

Get 2 FREE with $10 JB HiFi Perks voucher! Took a few minutes to arrive.
Ordered 2 bayonet ones free from local store.

Do they have a version of these in down lights?

  • Grabbed a few of these at $7. Work well with google home, adding them is straightforward and the programming works well. Plenty bright for our hallway and tv room, dimming function is good. Only clunky thing was when I was setting up rooms but once I figured it out it was set & forget.

  • Saw a heap at Robina earlier today. (Well at least a few!)

    • Nome of these ES showing any for c&c at 4226, but have Bayonet version.
Closest store with more than 1 ES in QLD is Townsville!

They have them in bayonet as well. Got 2 delivered

    • In either A60 or G95 globes.
Ordered 2 free for c&c from local store - paid with JB HiFi Perks voucher!

I bought a few during the last few deals and gotta say these are the worst lights.

They'd be alright for adding a bit of flair to your lighting setup, but stay away if you're looking for bulbs to light an area properly. The filaments are two different colors and collectively are supposed to achieve the color temp that you want. However, what you end up with is separate blue and yellow lights that aren't even diffused (the whole purpose of these exposed bulbs). The outcome is a completely unnatural light that looks more orange than yellow for 2700K. Worse yet is the CRI. It doesn't have an even spectrum of light like regular bulbs (in terms of RGB wavelengths) so you won't be able to accurately access color in any areas you put them in without additional lighting.

The smart component of these is pretty much the same as any others, slower than the top tier lifx, hue etc

@blankie Nice find, also the review was very helpful also, thanks.

  • I have 12 of the filament bulbs in total. Integrate well with Google assistant. I use voice commands to turn on and off, change brightness as well as change the colour temperature. The colour temperature looks a bit weird if you use the Google presets eg natural, candlelit but seems too look nicer if adjusted through the lenovo app if you find it a bit off.

I have 3 that I use for outside lights and the app allows you to set them so they turn on at sunset in your region regardless of what season it is (ie late in the summer, early in the winter) so it's nice not to have to think about that.

They haven't had any issues since I got my first about a year ago. I like how you can dim them and treat a room as a group so I have 6 lights in one room that all change in unison.

  • No delivery to Regional Victoria?!

Order something else, and you can have it delivered.

    But not with the Globes.

Thanks OP, picked up the ST64 version to replace a bulb I have that’s way too white. Appreciate it!

  • I'm wondering what colour temp they appear if you don't use wifi and just use it as a non-internet light bulb ?

I may be old school - but the idea of replacing a standard light switch - one finger one second operation - with something that requires wifi connection installation, set up and configuration, then presumably smartphone app opening, selecting, tap tappetty tap your smartphone - that should only take like 20 seconds or 20 minutes - so that's better somehow, right ?

    easy - this shouldn't take long … https://smartsupport.lenovo.com/au/en/products/smart/smart-h…

    • use it as a non-internet light bulb?

From Link above to good review - once colour, brightness, etc is set up (via app), can switch on / off by standard switch. Retains settings. Only need WiFi & app to make changes.
(If don't set up - bulb continually flashes!)
Advantage - saves standby power & operates like normal light for those not used to using app.

  • Link no longer works

Only the main link since that bulb type is not available anymore. The link to the listing still works and other variants are still available. Before the checkout issues I was finding stock available near me.
