Yes, the new 2022 models have a 'new' sticker on the top right of the product image when you do a search. The $1199, which is unavailable online is the previous model.

not a mistake. they've been doing this fairly often with the latest apple products (APP, watch). But I agree it probably won't last for days.

After the great deal (benchmark for price) ACER AN515-56 i5-11300H turbo 4.4GHz, 8+8gb ram/512gb+2TB M.2 SSD, GTX1650 4gb with 40cm(15.6") screen & Full windows functionality for $720 + cheap upgrade(ability) - I would never spend 2x more for <1/3 of functionality (even my $200 Chromebook has better Chrome browser).
And I remember there were surprisingly decent discounts soon after the 14”/16” M1Pro/Max MacBooks came out last year as well, by Amazon and others—enough to make me briefly consider one instead of the M1 MBA I settled on.
