The offer is limited to one bonus payment per customer.

You are an eligible customer if you:

  • are an ‘original’ ubank customer with a Save account and are upgraded to the new ubank experience (customers who were previously original ubank customers and closed their accounts are not eligible for this offer); and
  • within the offer period, have or open a ubank Spend account.

To meet the Upgrade Bonus Offer Criteria, you must make 3 purchases using your ubank debit card (including digital wallets), that are made and settled within 30 days of receiving an SMS from us saying you’re ready to upgrade.

A card transaction will only be considered “settled” once it is fully processed to your account and no longer showing as “pending” in your transaction history.

Eligible customers who meet the Upgrade Bonus Offer Criteria will receive a payment of $50 into their Spend account within a few days of fulfilling those criteria.

  • anyone got the $50 when doing 3 transactions through google wallet or apple pay? also $0.01 x 3 still ok to receive the cashback?

    also if not received the text but saw the promo on the email and the letter

      • actually I got the SMS after looking back at the logs. Now just to wait a few days to get my $50

      • Same. I rang them couple of days ago and was told upgrade will happen on 22 May. So I will wait and see.

          got the sms last week, login to new website, activated the card, made 3x cents payment in coles, and few days later got the $50
          case closed

          • @CyberMurning: Are you customer of original 86400? If so, once you received sms did you just use your old UBank login details to login or your origianl 86400 login details? I received new card and email, but not sms. Can't login to my old UBank anymore as of today.

  • Does anyone know if 3x online transactions are eligible? Or does it have to be made in store with the physical card/google wallet/apple pay?

  • I received my new debit card about 10 days ago, received the email but no SMS. Was able to login to old UBank online banking till weekend. Can't login today anymore. Calling them now but on hold for a while already and feel like to give up.

    Can anyone who are both 86400 and legacy UBank customers confirm that if they just merged old UBank accounts to new ones or they create new account number under new UBank login resulting in 2 separate debit cards? I am confused at the moment. My mum isn't a customer of 86400 and she got upgraded today.

      They add the 2 legacy accounts into your 86400 login. So you see 4 accounts and 2 debit cards.

      • Ok, thanks. Still can't get through to them on phone. I can login to my new UBank (recently signed up using referral) and only see one USpend and one USave account. But when trying to login old UBank I got the message that I can start using the new UBank app. Yes, I can use my new UBank app but no access to my old UBank accounts. Maybe just wait for the sms for a few more days. I hope they didn't mess up my accounts.

        • Hmm, if you just signed up to the new UBank recently, that might not be picked up by their account matching. It really depends on when they did it and whether they rematch regularly. Anyway, if you don't need urgent access to the old accounts, just wait a few days as you mentioned for the SMS.
