AEG 18V Brushless 6-Pce Kit $999 in-Store (Bonus Brad Nailer via Redemption) @ Bunnings or AEG Onsite Trade Solutions

230

Was looking for a nailer but saw this on a flyer in bunnings. Upcoming Black Friday special but showing stock in most stores. Limited stock. Tried keying the I/N: 0393850 in bunnings but does not show up.

Pretty good deal as you get 7 tools for $1000 which equates to $140 per tool with 2 free batteries and charger.

Just a heads up that AEG take a long time to send out redemption stuff… I’m at 6+ weeks so far with still no sign of shipment… so don’t get this if you need the nail gun in a hurry.

    • +2

      8 weeks and counting here

      • Interestingly I got a call from AEG today saying they're sorry but the redemption item isn't in stock and won't be until next month. They offered to replace it with a similar (and slightly better) item which I accepted.

Would have been great if they did that 7 weeks ago… but I'm happy there is progress!

Has yours come yet @mnemonic9 ?

        • How long did it take for AEG to verify your redemption? As in, confirm you're eligible once registered.

I was going to get this 6-pce kit, but then saw a larger kit on clearance. I was told that I could still get the redemptions, but after reading the T&Cs I'm doubting it… It's processing now, but don't want to be left in the lurch too long…

@Ozbuya: 13 days from submission to approval.

~8 weeks from submission to (a different) item arriving at my house.

    • I cant even get the website to recognise my registered product as a redemption one (it is) nor have they emailed me back when I enquired. Absolute joke of a promotion and should be subject to ACCC (or similar) regulation.

Spend a little more on AEG, use a referral code and claim a free skin.

    • Where do i get a referral code

      • +1

Under the body of the post there's a "referral links" section highlighted, click "random" and it'll give you a code that another ozbargain user has put in.

If you've already got an AEG account, you should have been sent a referral code via email, click "edit" in the "referral links" section to put your code in for others to use.

I have the impact driver, hammer drill, angle grinder and a blower (via redemption) plus the bag, charger and batteries from a deal three years ago. The blower arrived in two weeks but this was before being able to blame COVID on everything.

These tools take a beating and have been solid the entire time. The grinder can't handle anything thicker than a nail if you're using less than a 5Ah battery (I have a shitty 2.0Ah as a backup and the grinder dies within 1mm of contact). The only time something has gone wrong is I left a battery in the rain and it stopped working, oops! I'd probably get this deal just for the batteries, circular saw and reciprocating saw and the nailer, but I want the 45 degree one for light framing. Well that's my secondary reason, the main reason is my wife would shit kittens :)

  • The referral promotion requires the purchase of $1000 worth of goods. This promotion is only for $999. Will it still work or is there something really cheap to bring it over the $1000 mark?

  • Big thank you to who ever has recently purchased and used the referral link generator. I've ended up with two free skins that I've had my eye on for a while now. A hedge trimmer and a line trimmer.

    • I've signed up but unsure where to find my referral code?

      • I had mine sent to me in an email on 28th October

      • Information from this site

Check your inbox for an email from MY AEG containing your unique referral code. Share your code with unlimited mates.

If you do not receive an email from MY AEG containing your referral code, please email: [email protected]

    • Have you actually received both skins? The T&C's made it sound like it was one skin per person

      • I haven't received them yet however I've received confirmation from AEG that they've been approved.

        T&C's read as below

        Multiple entries

Multiple entries permitted, subject to the following: (a) only one (1) bonus offer is permitted per person, in accordance with the steps outlined above; (b) only one (1) entry permitted per person, in accordance with the steps outlined above; and (c) each entry must be submitted separately and in accordance with entry requirements.

I would take it too mean you can claim 1 tool per referral but it's not 100% clear. Will wait and see and let you know if they show up. Said it can take 8-10weeks

        • Neat, I just received my reciprocating saw today, got the redemption selection email on 16 November.

          Hope yours both come 👍

  • How would you rate them in comparison of:
    Ozito
    Ryobi
    Dewalt?

    • +2

      Dewalt>Aeg>Ryobi>Ozito

Ozito if you need to do a home job here and there

Ryobi if you are just amateur DIY - will handle most things and great value for money

Aeg if you get more serious - made by same manufacturer as ryobi and milwaukee just a step up on the performance and quality ladder.

Dewalt if you are looking to do work in the sector

      • +1

        What Fizzix said ^

    • +1

Better quality than Ozito and Ryobi IMO. Dewalt probably slightly better.

The benefit that Ozito and Ryobi have are that the skins are much much cheaper and often have good deals.

  • This kit isn't advertised online but is in QLD bunnings stores.

There were 4 at my local bunnings (I got the last one). The guy said they sold all 4 within 2 days of stocking them.

  • +2

Powerpass price was 949.05 - added a 6aH charging kit/battery and AEG rep gave me 4 x 4AH batteries for free!

  • I can't get this to show up anymore at Bunnings for 949.05 (item num 0204717)? is it expired? the AEG site still shows it but I can't figure out who to buy directly from AEG.

    • Item number should be 0393850

Also I've had to ask them to find and bring it down from the top of shelves
