Boost Mobile: $40 Cashback on $160 12-Month 140GB Plan @ Cashrewards

3350

Hi guys. This deal just got boosted prior to the $160 promo ending on November 15. Hopefully they don't sell out of SIMs, so get in early.

Click out via the offer on the main link of this post as it drives straight to the discounted SIM. If purchasing via the CR mobile app, search for Boost, scroll down to the offer, and tap out from there. Use the app for best results (see italics below). Stay safe, and enjoy :)

Cashback terms:

  • Multiple SIM purchases need to be made as separate transactions. Adding more than one SIM to an order will result in an untracked purchase.
  • SIM must be activated within 30 days of ordering.
  • You must return and click through from Cashrewards every time you make a new transaction/purchase.

For tracking success, disable 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave, close additional browser tabs, and don't click away to other sites looking for codes etc after clicking from Cashrewards as tracking will be lost. Cashrewards must be your last click before purchase. Use our iOS/Android mobile app for great results. Use our Help Centre & Contact form here for any questions or issues.

  • Great deal, just keeps getting better.
    Thanks as always, TA :)

  • Thanks TA, when do you need to activate it?

    • Yes, wondering the same.

    • -2

I think the activation deadline is still the same, ie. 28 NOV 2022.

This is only a 'boosted' offer, ie. Cashback increased from $35 to $40.

        @Yaren24 @reachdigital @whyisave

For the purposes of cashback, it's in the 2nd dot point of the OP terms. Cheers :)

SIM must be activated within 30 days of ordering.

    Love your work, TightRectum

  • +2

    boosted

    lol

  • If I bought a previous deal, will this count as a separate cashback and buy 1 additional?

    • +1

Totally separate offers, and ok to buy. Please however ensure you follow the terms of the offer, in particular the 1st and 3rd dot points. Cheers :)

Wait for $99 after CB for this and $199 after CB for the $300 pack. TA and Boost can do it ;)

Duh just bought on Friday morning, lost $5

The early worm gets eaten by the bird

    • +1

I bought one one month ago for $170, lost $10. The cashback was $35, lost another $5. I didn’t activate it in a month, so another $35. Does it make you feel better.

    • Bought on eBay 1 week ago, before the 1st deal out…

  • Damn, purchased this late last night with $35 cashback

    • Can you return for refund and buy again now?

      • Over $5

      • Can we get refund for $5 ? lol

  • Of course this deal is up after I paid $99 3 days ago for Amaysim. But that had $14 cashback. I'm not too sad, just a little bit

    • +3

If you get good reception with Optus then using math you've saved money.

This has more data but if you've got a dual sim phone you can take advantage of free/cheap one month sim deals posted on here throughout the year.

    • Thank you for your sacrifice.

    • Stupid amaysim late with deals so I bought Coles for my spare phone. Wasted a bit of money there.

  • bruh, I got double charged by Boost. Now have to wait for them to see if they refunded in 7 days.

Edit: anyone who got error message after checking out, please check if you got charged. My payment got error but i still got charged and did not get any order confirmation.
Tried 2nd time, order went through, got order confirmation. But yea still double charged.

    • +1

Hi! Sorry to hear that. Have you contacted our support team regarding this? If not, please reach out to [email protected] so we can assist.

      • Hi, i did send a email to above address to resolve this, still have to wait a few days for reply

    • I also got an error message saying something went wrong after checking out. Retried and it worked 2nd time but I didn't get double charged.

  • Thanks TA, seeing how this is possible for the $200 SIM now makes me think you got this with Boost for the $300 SIM to have a decent cashback during Black Friday :)

    You got this 👊

  • Okay fine, I'll bite.

  • Ordered one, thanks TA!

  • Any idea when they post out? I bought in the last deal and haven’t received any communication after confirmation of the order.

    • See here from current deal. May help.

    • Nil communication but I received mine in less than a week.

      • Same here.

  • +1

SIM must be activated within 30 days of ordering.

Is this a hard and fast rule? How do they enforce it?
My Coles SIM doesn't end until Feb 2023…

    • -4

duh… that 30 days is so you get the cashback, the sim is fine for years

    • +1

SIMs sent out have a serial. Compared posted date to activation date. If greater than 30 days no cashback.

    • I have not activated a sim from a previous deal and still got the cashback

  • Had to try twice to get the correct price in the cart, but otherwise worked, and the cashback was even tracked immediately!

    • Awesome. Enjoy :)

  • -1

Don't forget to use referral link. $10

    • Ohh - How??
Where do I get a referal link and when do you need to use it?

Getting unable to process order on check out - anyone else with the same issue?

    • +1

Hi there! We’re sorry to hear you are experiencing issues while trying to place your order. This is most likely related to fraud triggers that are automatically set in place by our order processing platform and other providers like your Bank and Credit card in order to avoid fraudulent transactions. We understand this can be highly frustrating when trying to place a legitimate order, but this sits outside of Boost’s control.

Below is a list of indicators that can affect how your order is flagged in different financial systems, which can hopefully help you understand what is going wrong:

      • Are the characteristics of this order similar to non-fraudulent orders observed in the past?
      • Are the characterises of this order similar to an order that was placed recently?
      • Is the card verification value (CVV) correct?
      • Does the billing address match the credit card’s registered address?
      • Does the billing address ZIP or postal code match the credit card’s registered address?
      • Was there more than 1 payment attempt?
      • Was the payment made with 1 credit card?
      • Does the billing country match the country from which the order was placed?
      • The IP address used to place the order isn’t a high-risk internet connection?
      • The browser used to place the order isn’t a high-risk browser

Based on the above, we suggest that you take the following actions when trying to place an order:

      • Check if your ID details are correct
      • Check if your payment details are correct
      • Enter the delivery address manually
      • Try to place the order using a different personal device
      • Try to place the order on a different browser
      • Try to place the order using a different payment method
      • Try to place the order using a different email address

If you continue to have the same issue, our customer service team may be able to help you at [email protected]

      • Rep, purchase does not work for me either. I am existing customer and went through tech support to confirm I can purchase deal and keep my existing number due to customer loyalty.
Attempted at least 6 times to purchase and tried using different email and credit cards and I get an error on checkout.
Guessing validation is failing somewhere as I am an existing customer.
Any idea how I can buy this sim and have technical port my number across?

  • +1

Does anyone know when is international roaming coming to Boost ?

    • In the mean time, we can use the Wifi-calling feature to get connection when you have Wifi

      • +1

I tried the Wifi calling overseas, but it did not work. They haven't upgraded it yet.

        • how about OTP? can you still receive OTP from overseas with Boost?
I am going overseas, and will need the OTP to work there.

          • +1

@blueboy410: Fyi I got SMS when I was in NZ and on a cruise ship… But couldn't get phone calls

I'm not sure if the SMS came over wifi or not
.. I did try to activate wifi calling…

          • @blueboy410: Yes, incoming SMS worked … But the calling feature wasn't working….

    • International roaming is launching very soon! :)

      • Thanks Rep. Currently, Can we receive SMS while being overseas?

      • +1

Hi rep what’s the status with esim? Been on my wish list for so long.

  • I kept gstting technical issu3s wjth boost at payment stage. Any advice?

    • +8

      Something wrong with your keyboard?

  • Can I buy two and use the second one as credit on top of the first one?

    • I'm wondering if you can buy 10 & top up the first one for 10 years use?

      • Chat with boost support just now and they can't do it. They even said it's better to buy the 2nd sim later and then they can transfer the number across as each sim generally has 2 months expiry.

  • This or the Woolworths $180 for 180GB deal. With a 10% discount every month on groceries, hard to choose. I am guessing 5G is enabled in this plan as well?

    • +2

Boost has advised that 5G access is presently granted on a "trial" until 28 November 2022.

The 5G, when in supported areas, is great. Would like to know what happens after 28 Nov.

      • That is good to know. WW has a 5G trial till 28 February 2023. I am not really fussy about 5G but good to have I guess. My plan is expiring on the 8th of Dec so I think I should wait.

        • +2

I'm on boost now, most of the speed tests I've done when I switch between 4G and 5G don't indicate 5G being any faster (in my area).
The only thing I've noticed is my phone doesn't last quite as long on 5G so I've now switched off 5G.
I really don't get the excitement around 5G TBH.

          • +1

@SimAus007: I’m with Telstra and 5G is soooo much faster. I’m usually on wifi at work/home but if downloading a movie or even just a podcast over mobile it is noticeably faster on 5G.

            • +1

@Bozman: Perhaps your cell isn't as congested as mine.
I'd never download a movie on my phone given the limited data I have, I'll leave that for my NBN connection.

              • +1

@SimAus007: Telstra 5G vs 4G in my area, using speed test, the difference is 4X (Boost (Telstra 5G) vs Woolworth (Telstra 4G)). I did mention when in supported areas.

The difference is, when I update apps on my phone using 5G, the downloads are super fast (faster than my NBN, granted gigabit NBN isn't available in my area). Watching youTube or video messages are fast.

    • Woolworths uses Telstra Wholesale network. Boost uses Telstra Retail network.

      • Yes, I understand that. I am with Catch now and it has been pretty good so far. So, I am guessing Woolworth's coverage would be as good as what I have now from Catch which uses Optus wholesale network. Telstra network has been much better than Optus one where I live. (Strathfield.)

  • +3

@tightarse please update the post so people can read that 30 days requirement is to get the cashback nothing to do with boost, and not that the sim will die after 30 days

    • Hence the title of those bullet points -

      Cashback terms:

      • but so many confused and keep asking

  • +1

Why are they asking for my details? I want to buy one for my son but due to his age it goes in my name. Can’t I just buy the SIM so I get the Cashback. I am already a boost member so will this allow me to get it?

  • good deal. recharging on catch mobile is $8 cheaper but 20GB less.

    • This one is also a pretty good deal.
I am already with Catch and thinking to port to a $2 Kogan and port back. Still have a month left so waiting if its worth the hassle or not.

      • it's a good deal, same deal that was available last year which I purchased, but the double data only applies for new customers.

      • Don't you need to recharge as I dont think you can port to $2 sim?

  • New customers only

    • Old customers can use it as sim replacement.
Go start the chat as using existing number as Telstra

In chat, tell the person, you need to swap the existing boost number to new sim starter pack. (they call it sim replacement)

Your old credit will be replaced with new credit.

  • Anyone know when is the last date to activate if no cashback is required?

Would it be something like 6m or 1yr from order date?

  • @tightarse if you open web page via the app link you provided
    https://www.cashrewards.com.au/online-shopping-app

When you click "get on google play" it takes you to apple store page

    • +1

What a classic lol. Thanks for flagging. I'll let the team know and get this fixed :)

In the meantime, the page you need is here.

      • +1

TA, given that you have direct access to some movers and shakers at Boost, can you ask them if it's possible to implement these deals for existing users? It's just work for everyone having to port out to a new provider and back to Boost in order to be classed as a 'new customer'.

Having said that, I do understand these deals are intended to lure people across, and like all subscription based businesses, they utilise and prefer customer inertia to maximise profits.

        Thanks. TP.

  • Can I add this credit on my number on a month to month prepaid boost plan?

  • +1

Keep said cant processes my order!! Anyone could help? Thanks in advance.

    • ah, just posted the same issue below - will give it a crack in a few hours

      • I try since the previous deal but no luck still same issues. Emailed boost customer support they said to check all information make sure correct, but nah still not go through.

      • Hi boost, my order went through successfully with credit card charged but never received a confirmation email. Got the Cashrewards tracking email but nothing from boost. Anything I should do in this instance?

  • Any chance of this offer repeating in few weeks time

  • Just tried to purchase (via CR main site) but after I entered my deets I got the ol' 'something went wrong, try again later' msg, guess it's getting loved to death?

  • I'm trying to decide between this and the Kogan 120GB for $90 offer. I get decent mobile reception on both Telstra and Vodafone networks so please correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the Kogan deal better value for money?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/732196

    • +1

If vodafone works fine for you kogan would be a better deal.

  • great deal!
Bought one with $35 cashback yesterday, tried to buy another last night but didn't work.
Checked this morning and cashback went up…winning!

  • The game is greed is tough.

How much cheaper/more cash back could we get!

    • 110% cashback is likely. Profit is as profit does. The rain in Spain falls mainly from the clouds

  • Please note: Boost doesn't have international roaming feature yet. so if you're planning on travelling and looking for those OTPs, this is not a service for you.
