Very disappointing… I had faith in their comments that they allowed for the traffic! I don't know if we can do polls here, but would be interesting to see the number of people for each item that (a) wanted it but couldn't get it, or (b) wanted it and did get it.

you only have the item if you go through your transaction and confirm, otherwise it's not complete, and there's no point for it to be in your cart.

I got the RC chopper in my shopping cart and after many attempts got to the screen where i had to fill in my details until the website hung on me again. Seeing as its in the checkout does it mean that the stock has been secured for me so i can pay later when the stupid website becomes stable again?
Is there such a thing as combined shipping with this deal, if we happen to score two bargains do we have to pay 2 differant shipping rates or is there a discount on bulk buys like on ebay?
The thing about the helicopter is, its limited to one per customer and the shipping is $10, so your actually getting it for $15
I guess that is still cheaper than normal, but I doubt your saving more than $15 (Woolies had a special on IR helicopters a while back, cant remember the exact price but I think it was about $20)

Ouch, this is just going from bad to worse for the COTD guys.
I'm not going to negatively vote them, they had good intentions and they are by no means obligated to sell things well below cost price. I'm sure they're not happy about the situation either, gotta be a sinking feeling to know you've got hundreds of mad would-be customers and you can't keep your website going on the 2nd birthday sale.
What confuses me is why they have the big 'sorry' image, even though it's a static image serving that up thousands of times can't be helping their bandwidth situation. I'm sure a simple, very plain GIF would have done well enough.
