  • Thanks OP! Insane price. Didn't need one but ordered one anyways

  • Don't even game and bought one lol

  • Nice. I only just got notified too.

  • Cheers OP, got one to replace a wired G502 that was starting to act up.

  • +2

Despite the hate, this mouse is perfect for me.

Tho should I be worried about the double click issues?

    • From what I know, the wired G502 are more prone to double-clicking when compared to the Lightspeed variant. I think they swapped the model of switches in the Lightspeed.

      • +1

Not sure if they ever changed the switches in newly manufactured units, but it happened within 6 months or so to my G502 lightspeed purchased in 2019. Logitech was more than happy to send me a brand new replacement after I raised the issue though, which is still sealed in its box as I've moved onto a G Pro Wireless with custom switches.

For this price though I reckon it's a pretty easy buy.

        • +2

I still have the wired version from 2014 and no double clicking for me.

          • @OldSchoolHarry: Same, don't know if mine is the OG one from 2014 but I've been using a wired variant for the past 5 years and no double clicking issues.

    • +1

At this price I wouldn't be that worried, but don’t be surprised when the clickers fail.

Mine lasted <1 year but Logi sent me a new one, couple of mates got closer to 2 years before they failed

Also if you’re handy with a soldering iron you can install better quality switches for <$20. That’s what I did with my failed one

Edit: The above was for the 903 but the 502 will be just as bad if not worse

    • +1

Damn so did you get it? I got the 903 but it ended up having the double click issue so I literally have 2 on my table the 502 wired and 903 just coz I can’t really do anything with it…

      • +1

Had the same issue with the 903 but ended up replacing the switches as well. Not too hard with the tutorials on youtube, should give it a go if you have time.

      • Just get a Asus ROG Chakram Core wired, replaceable switch, currently on special.

  • Just about to post this! Ordered one as well.

For those in the sub $100 waiting club, now is the time.

  • Sensational deal, thank you OP!!!

  • Omg I needed this thank you so much

  • +1

Was just about to purchase this, and then remembered I don't actually need it. Great deal though!

    • +2

don't need this, don't want this, but definitely contemplated buying it just because it was such a good deal and I saw it 3 minutes after posted haha

  • amazing deal, thanks OP. was gonna get the new g502 x plus but just can't justify the price

  • +1

For anyone wondering what difference the new version is, 130 hour battery life vs 60
Optical mechanical hybrid clickers which presumably aren’t prone to failing

    $250+ though…

  • +1

Fantastic price there had to grab one, thanks!

  • Anyone use this for working at office? Excel word outlook stuffs.
Ergonomic enough or bad for wrist? But if not then why all the gamers like it, weird…

    • Ergonomics depend on your hand size and shape. I have large hands and find it okayish.

    • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7bsqvxowZk seems good for general use, has infinite scroll wheel feature.

or you could wait for a mx master 2s deal.

    • +1

Hey I have this mouse for home and its fine for work there, I brought it in for a workmate and now like 2 of them use it at work. I still prefer the mx masters for office, but this mouse is great so can't really lose. Does look a bit silly though fwiw, they slightly get away with it since we're all a bunch of engineers haha

    • I've been daily driving the G502 Hero (same same) at work for a couple of years now, and love it. The extra buttons are great for shortcuts and such.

      • But i cant install the logitech software to customise buttons on work laptop.

        • Easy. Install it on home computer and then save your keymapping to the onboard mode. Settings will save on the mouse itself.

Then just take it to work and plug in.

          • @Arcticfox: Ah that will works? Amazing if! Really? How about the other logitech mouses and their softwares ie logi plus? (For the vertical lift, ergo trackball, etc)

I just want to customise some buttons to for example open chrome new tab, close, save Excel, exit app, open Explorer, etc all basic office stuffs

            • @CyberMurning: Well it works for me, but my key mapping is more game oriented. I use this to play Warzone on my Xbox series X and I can take my button maps from PC to console. Not sure how it would go with specific MS office commands etc

  • Thanks!

  • dont need but bought

  • +4

cant add to cart? gone already?

    • Yep. I thought too long. Saved myself from buying another mouse though, even if this would have been a decent replacement for my ageing double clicking G700.

  • +1

    114 g. No, ty

    • +6

      Weak wrists eh? ;)

      • +11

I know an exercise that can help with that.

  • Looks like price went back to $139

    • That price is from another seller. Amazon AU sold all their stock

      • Amazon at $189

  • Damnit. Missed out by minutes lol

  • Ahh dammit, i actually stumbled across this on amazon before this was posted and second guessed buying it and missed out. Ya snooze you lose!

    • Same haha

  • +2

Kinda glad this sold out. Was agonising over buying something I don't really need…

  • +2

Don’t worry if you missed out. I just returned mine days ago cheap quality (plus mine was a bit faulty with the wheel not being round and rotating after you stop it and release). I own a MX Master 3S and G600 and they are far better quality wise

    • +2

Most the new logitech are garbage, they are made to fail.

    • I own and love a 3s but for the sake of people making their decisions, the lightspeed was by far the best gaming mouse I ever used when I was going nolifer with gaming.

  • $74 in the upcoming JB sale if anyone is too upset they missed out

  • 1am sale? I got one of these from an ozb post for around $50 really don't like it and lengthy use has caused noticeable hand pain so I switched back to an mx master and no longer have issues.

  • Would've bought one in a heartbeat.. Dammit.

I loved my g502 wireless, was perfect for me apart from shitty switches… Mine double clicked and got quite bad. It's still sitting in a drawer.

Recently got a g305 for something cheap and cheerful with a lithium battery. But for this price I would've bought this too anyway… Nice find.

Shame the newer model is so stupid expensive.

  • +1

I loved my G502 for years until it started developing the double click issue. Loved the form factor though so went to the Razer Basilisk Ultimate which has almost the exact same shape and size but uses optical switches so the switch issue will never be a problem. Been almost a year and no complaints.

    • Yeah double clicking has been a problem for 3!!! mice for me. G900, which moved me to G502 wireless, then that started double clicking and my mate gave me his G903 which then also started double clicking! Gah -.-

Almost bought the G502 X (wired) version but really cant go back to wired after almost a decade of wireless..

  • Dang it. Missed it!

  • +1

I paid $115 for mine and thought i got a good deal.

  • Damn it I wanted this. Can't believe I missed out.

  • Damn it I've been waiting for this to go on sale for ages

  • +3

Wow, ordered at 1 AM, was dispatched at 5:25 AM and delivered at 11 AM.

10 hour turn around is fantastic!

  • Damn spewing I missed it

  • Did anyone happen to save a screenshot?

  • Damn…

  • -2

Don't be sad chaps, it's a rubbish mouse, regret that I own one (from an mx revolution user).

  • Can anyone post a screenshot of their cart or invoice for price protection please ? DM is ok. TIA

    • do you still need this?

  • -4
