Asus TUF Gaming A15 15.6" 144Hz: Ryzen 7 4800H, RTX 3050, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Win 11 $1049 + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ JB Hi-Fi

290

I'd say this is a pretty good deal for a laptop with RTX 3050, although ASUS's cheaper line of gaming laptops as opposed to ROG but it still makes a perfect gaming entry laptop and affordable.

Yeah I'd rather take my Intel NUC X15 3060 for 1250

    • Got one myself for $1300 including extra 8gb ram and a 512g ssd. Damn good deal!

      • Newbie here for adding components to laptops, which ones did you buy, keen to add those upgrades also.

        • Hey mate for the ssd i used
          Kingston NV1 M.2 NVMe SSD 500gb

          The ram i used

          Kingston KVR32S22S8/8 8GB (1x8GB) 3200MHz DDR4 SODIMM

Already came with 256gb ssd and 8gb ram so set me up with 750gb in ssd and 16gb ram.

      • lol which ssd did you purchase? Im going to take the 500gb one out of my PC

        • Kingston NV1 M.2 NVMe SSD 500GB.

Ssd isnt a huge deal what you put in, just make sure it's an m.2 nvme i believe.

      • Where from?

        • The laptop was from a deal last week from bpc tech, keep an eye out on black friday you should be able to pick something up!

    This is an excellent deal
    Thanks for sharing.
I know we dont ever get the perfect gaming laptop for the $1000 mark but this is great

    • That's what I also thought, thanks for the kind words :)

wait…4800H? 6800H are the currently available generation. 7000 series already announced.

And 3050, the current gen are mostly 3050Ti at equivalent entry level spec machine.

Must be old left over stock.

IMO…avoid due to older gen CPU. My opinion only, yours may vary.

Cannot find better at the moment around 1200$
I missed the famous kraken deal unfortunately…
I'm really thinking about taking this one. Or perhaps wait the black friday…

You obviously aren't going to get the latest and greatest at this price point. But this is a cracking deal for the specs.

4800H still an excellent processor. I have the 4800HS on my Zephyrus, and it’s basically a slightly toned down version of the H. Still more than enough power for anything, and being a Ryzen processor you can unlock the wattage if you want a bit more performance too :)

The screen on these are so awful, I didn't know they could be that bad.. Honestly I'm not even picky, I usually don't care whats on laptop screens but these are so washed out and dry it's a strange experience… I don't think even early 2000s lcd were like it.
