  • I have been wanting to buy the 65” for a while now, seems great value.
I’m just doubting it’s specs to perform well for live sport. Any TV experts on here?

      https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/sony-x90k-vs-sony-a8…

X90k is solid. But for that price. It's nothing special & not all that great for sports.

TCL C835 has X90k it beat in nearly every category. Especially the important stuff.
Mini led - far deeper blacks, much brighter, local dimming, far less dse, lower input lag + 144hz 2k, wider color gamut, better anti glare/reflection handling, wider viewing angles etc.

X90k has a stronger processor, slightly better motion smoothing/judder?, likely more solid exterior build (not sure. Might be relegated to the premiums such as the X95k.) Subpar black uniformity.

TCL has strong reliability in it's price bracket & 3 yr warranty. C835 is the TCL R655 but with google os and more options with calibration. Making it even better. Up to you if you wanna go for that. Hisense U9HAU is different to american model. So it's not worth mentioning.

A80k is an Oled…. (Still the tech to beat.)

Thank you so much for your advice.

It seems like paying a few more dollars for OLED and it’s performance across many different styles of viewing usage is the best way to go.

Now to get researching and decide between what I have narrowed down to….LG C2 or Samsung s95b…

I really appreciate your help, have a great day!

  • Bought A80K 65" yesterday via cash rewards to Sony with 10% disc. Free delivery. came to $2995 - 10% disc = $2,695.50. Paid using Amex offer for further $100 off, all coming down to $2,595.50 free delivery. (Cash rewards offer has gone down to 4% disc today unfortunately).
