  • Which switches?

      Tactile from Logitech

      • Oops I can't read.

Only had negative experiences with Logitech G boards (G810 and G613), they're overpriced for what they are.

    • What do u mean?

      • Both my Logitech G boards in the past have experienced key chatter. Very annoying.

The keyboards in general are relatively poor value as well, the corners of the keycaps on my G810 started to peel and flake away. The boards didn't feel very sturdy either, my G613 creaked a whole lot and was an all-plastic build.

I could rant on on how poor the switches and stabilisers were too, but that's another story

Looks like the 613 had low build quality, but doesn't look to be an issue with this model - picked one up, thanks op

      • Agree. Logitech is rubbish. I have bought many Logitech products over the years but it is inferior quality these days.

I've been using G915 for almost 2 years without any problem and love it. Only down side is that I can't change the switches.

I'll agree based on my experience with my G910. It's developed a really irritating double click of buttons where they either don't register for a second or it's like I've pressed them multiple times.
Picked up a Ducky last year (for work) and I'm seriously considering making it my gaming KB too because the G910 is so frustrating.

  • If anyone is interested in the black model this one comes to $198.90 with code "FRIBLK22".

  • Anyone know a good deal on the G915 normal (with number keys).

I have this keyboard with the same switches. So far for me it has been reliable, and the battery life is good. Typing experience is not great though.

It has major downsides though and isn't worth anywhere near the asking price. The keycaps / switches really rattle, and just don't feel good. There is a lot of horizontal movement, which seems to be a design flaw in the loose keycap / switch interface.

Unless you desperately need a low profile keyboard, get an Akko. Cheaper, better quality, everything is replaceable if it breaks. If low profile is a must, the Keychron K1 would be better at everything but wireless gaming.

I regret buying mine, but won't ditch it until it actually breaks.

That's basically it, there are better low-profile keyboards and there are better wireless keyboards, but you won't find a better low-profile wireless keyboard

      • To be fair, Razer Deathstalker looked nice (and more expensive as well, but I think it's the only silent linear low profile keyboard from my understanding?)

      • I think a NuPhy Air75 would be significantly better - bit of effort to get though.

        • +3

Just thought it's worth pointing out the Air75 is not a TKL layout like the G915.

Nuphy seems to have released some more models though, so they might release a TKL in the future.

been using my g915 tkl since may and it's been flawless. i've always got rgbs on and it auto-sleeps after a while. goes for quite a bit in between charges. i type so much faster on the g915 vs my razer blackwidow.

the only thing i don't like about the g915 is the lack of backlighting on the secondary characters.

  • Would these feel similiar to the MX Mechanical Wireless keyboard?
