Didn't have time to post earlier but wanted to add a few comments as an owner of this tablet. Screen is amazing, I don't think you can beat it. The size is perfect and feels great in the hand very well put together and the aluminium back and super thin design make any other tablet I've seen, including Sgt 10.1 etc, look huge and bulky. I don't think you can compare this to the nexus as it has microSD port and for some that is in essential feature. Honeycomb itself is laggy but ics has began rolling out so shouldn't be much longer. Early reports say it runs super smoothly.
You pay more for this tablet but I think the quality and specs more than make up for it.

I'm using a book cover atm and it fits really nice with no added bulk. I guess you could eBay the pouch but I think it'll be useful to use with the dock during the week at work etc.

        rep is sneaky. there's no proof that we are actually going to get the accessories just his word over here. in all likelihood there would be no issues but in the event things go wrong, mobileciti will have deniablility.

          Yeah I'm not clicking "submit order" until I see everything listed in my cart. I've bought from these guys before so it's not that I don't trust them, it's that in 6 months time if something breaks I have no evidence I bought it.

          Maybe you could PDF this thread and use it as proof? There's no other way you can get free shipping apart from this coupon code is there? Your invoice would show that you didn't pay for shipping.

          Of course it'd be easier if it was just listed on the invoice. :)

          i got one last week for my wife at tgg $385 with 20% auspost tgg gift card and got trs back so $273 at the end. great tablet, and cheaper than GN7. I'm not too fuss about the accessories.

          Put yourself in the seller's shoes once in a while - they're running a business, not a charity. It's not all about you (not specifically talking about you, it's people who think no seller should be allowed to make small mistakes, ever)

          Maybe that's why they're losing money and are in the process of closing 100 stores. Heh.

          Perspective is important. DSE is owned by (for now) the multi-billion-dollar Woolworths Limited. There's a big difference between a big company and a small company.

          The mistake was probably done by a regular staff member, not the business owner. If you owned a business and your staff member made a mistake that cost you $1,600 (e.g. for 20 units), what would you do?

          I would first find out how many $272 orders went through and how much in total it would cost me to fix my reputation and take the responsibilities for my mistakes. It is a cost and benefit judgemental call.

      waste of time, i would rather wait for more the nexux tab to be released (not that i want it), and hope that these suppliers would have to drop their samsung 7.7 tab prices even more.

Honoring something means going through with something even though it was a mistake on your part. It means gracefully acknowledging that you made a mistake somewhere and honoring those mistakes.

      Actually andrioid 4.0 is already rolling out. Not sure where you got your info from. 4.1 will be unlikely but 4.0 is definitely already supported by Samsung.

    My package arrived today - quick shipping! All the accessories are included. Awesome deal.

    It's definitely AU stock, the box was sealed and the power adaptor has an AU plug.

    Interestingly, the charger now has a permanent cable attached to it. With previous tabs, the wall charger had a USB socket, which you plug the (incredibly short) USB data cable into. I prefer this design where the charging cable is much longer. It does of course come with the usual short USB data cable.

      Hmm I'm trying to order another one. The coupon code was accepted, but I decided to set up an account this time. After I did, the code is not valid anymore, even on a different browser without me logging in.

      Something broke somewhere?

      edit: I tried it again and it accepted the coupon, but it didn't offer me a free shipping option this time. Something's definitely broken.

      edit yet again: OK, it's working - the ordering method has actually changed. You now have to manually tick the additional items down below before adding to cart and entering in the coupon code. Previously you just ordered the tab and you'd get the other bits automatically.

        Oh I bought mine months ago. I showed it to my friend who was itching for one. Then this deal came along which sealed the deal.

        It arrived today, so I took a picture and sent it to another friend and told him about the deal. He wanted one too, so I ordered the second one. Hurrah!

        I was getting frustrated with mine until ICS came a few days ago (I have the 3G model). It completely transformed the tablet! It's like a whole new tablet in terms of responsiveness and usability. If it was stuck on Honeycomb I probably wouldn't recommend it unless the other person was a bit techy.

          Nah, your S2 was on Gingerbread before which is pretty good. It's just Honeycomb that was a bit of a pain. The original Gingerbread 7" Galaxy Tab was smoother than the dual-core 7.7 in some ways.

        Yes, it can be rooted. The performance is SO MUCH BETTER than honeycomb. It really feels like a whole new tablet. I was tempted to get a Nexus 7 before, but now I'm happy, at least for now.

        Of course it won't be as smooth as a Nexus 7, but it's way better than before.

        CM9 is on the way too. People report the WIP version being realllyyy smoooooth.

      Yes I flashed this last night. I actually just flashed CM9 the night before. CM9 was really smooth and functional, but video acceleration was a bit finicky.

      The Samsung ICS rom is very good. Running 4.0.4 it is very smooth and everything appears to work.

      Note that the Ever Root option in Mobile Odin does not appear to work.
