      Rightly so

  • +1

There's no more hodl to $350, Cyber Monday will be over soon.

    • +1

I really tried, but since my BPC order for the $349 deal was cancelled, I've been making the kids wait for months so I caved for this deal.

Really disappointed with black friday and cyber monday no really good deals on gpus and parts 😕

    • +1

      ikr, its been really pathetic.

        Praise cheesus

  • picked this up earlier, the gpu was the last thing I needed to buy this BFCM so I'll take it ha

  • +6

429 for a 6700 was a good deal, everything else seems to be a waste of time.

    • +1

      6700 performs similarly to a 6600XT

  • +2

Yeah we’ve hit a wall in gpu prices, I wouldn’t expect anything better till we’ve gotten to 7700xt/4070 in terms of new gpu releases

  • +27

Hitting refresh looking for graphics cards deals is more addictive than gaming ever could be

    • +14

I basically looked at every store twice a day, whole stock, found 4 things of moderate interest, decided this sales week was terrible

    • you should try crack

  • +1

Callisto Protocol releases on Friday. Hopefully you can get hold of the codes quickly and sell it for ~$70, unless reviews are bad.

    • +2

How do you sell the codes? Just wondering.

    • The codes can only be used on a PC that have qualifying GPUs

      • -1

Ugh. Well that reduces their value a bit then.

  • It was 374 including shipping with the zip deal previously.

    • +2

There were a few deals around $350-400 back in July/ August, haven't seen much recently

    • +1

Wasn't that the ITX one? not worth it imo

  • +2

Bought the XFX one for around $400 five months back. This deal for $399 in November is not very impressive.

    • +1

Yes all the deals were a few months back, probably when they were clearing stock for 6650 XT refresh

  • +1

I think it's unlikely we'll see better deals soon for the 6600 xt, probably gonna buy this now :/

    • As discussed, wait another 36 hours until Cyber Monday in the US passes

All the price action will be on the xx50 cards like the 6650 and 6750 as that is new stock

Unfortunately there is no 6850 and 6800/6800 XT stock is extremely thin

AIB's and retailers are not budging on the xx00 stock because that was purchased at the height of the crypto boom so no one wants to eat the loss (yet)

  • How is return/refund works if I live say in Brisbane?

  • +2

just wait couple of weeks till new AMD gpus are out,
    this will drop more

    • +5

      I'd say that's pretty unlikely.
Maybe the top end 68/6900 models will get a small price cut depending on 7900 availability, but given there's no 76/7700 cards releasing till next year, the 66/6700 will probably stagnate a fair bit till then.

      • yea. fair point

i still think $400 will at least be the norm for a 6600xt, well i hope :)

you know, its not the mid range cards that will bottom the market, its the early adopters
and also the fact that the new cards will make this look like trash..

        just my thoughts

        • +1

Yea, keep your hopes high but your expectations low, that way you won't be disappointed either way lol

    • +1

Lol no, new amd cards will be around 1500-2000 bucks, absolute trash value like 40xx. """""Midrange""""" cards won't be out for another half year.

      • +3

        $1000USD = $1504AUD + 10% GST = $1,654 + 5% Aus markup $1729 for the 7900XTX

        $900USD = $1353AUD + 10% GST = $1488 + 5% Aus markup $1555 for the 7900XTX

This is for the RRP of the AMD model.. the board partner cards RRP maybe higher from the get go so $2000 cards are very likely

Yep.. They will be very expensive

        • +1

And Australia will again miss out on the reference cards no doubt…so just bullshit AIB prices with all of the usual Australian distributor + retail markups.

          • @AnotherHuman: Reference cards were available around the launch of the 6800xt and 6900xt but not for long.

I ordered one a few months after launch from PLE but received a XFX 319 Black instead.

            • @Vinodra: @Vinodra Oooohh. That's good to know. I didn't think they were available anywhere.

hrmmm, though I can't really justify buying one with how infrequently I would use it..hrmm

  • Anyone have their order shipped yet? My experience with mwave this year has been consistently more than a week to dispatch- laptops, GPUs, doesn't matter.

    • Dispatched today.
