    Too bad my Subway only has (limited) cup drinks only due to government dietary controls in their facilities - big choice Coke No Sugar or Diet Coke.

        The Hospital I work in has a Subway, they only have Coke No Sugar and Diet Coke in a cup as their only options for drinks as the government says sugar = bad, all food is traffic light system approved.

        However if we want full strength stuff we just walk across the road.

          You can blame the big food industries for the sugar scare brain washing, and most people are Smart enough to know what has added/hidden Sugar in it (perhaps not kids).

            @G-rig: No bottles, they have nowhere to store them, the shopfront is very small for the 5 or more people working in it most of the time.

      My hospital subway has Coke No Sugar, Vanilla Coke No Sugar, Fanta No Sugar and Sprite No Sugar.

    Some of their franchisee need to get customer service training.

    Placed an app order, went to pickup, no one was there, the store was closed well before advertised operation hours.

    Complained in the app asking for refund and a free sub for waste of time. (Refund was later processed by HQ)

    Got a call from the store at 8am the next morning asking what was the free sub about?

    They should just email a code, why called that early in morning, and in a not so friendly tune?

    (The store did offer to transfer $10 into my bank account, or go in for a free 6 inch, didn't bother to follow through)

          As far as kfc, hungry jacks, maccas go at my locals i cant believe how poor the kids are at communicating with human beings, even some of the older supervisors or team leaders. Dont know if its due to Covid lockdowns in recent years or they're used to communicating on their phones, or just dont give a f#*k?
          Im prob just getting too old and remember a time when manners and good service were standard.

            @nepalesesquirrel: 1 of my local Maccas is extremely well run, very professional staff, extremely fast. The other one is just OKAY. So I guess it comes down to restaurant management.
            But then there's Hungry Jacks and man are they bad at both chains. Extremely slow, no social skills etc.

          Speaking of KFC, the one I go to put a slip in the box, saying any issues call or email them directly.

          I guess there are KPIs they need to meet, they don't want complains going to HQ.

          They are generally pretty good, if you go at the busy time.

      They tend to send the complaint through to the franchisee first then it is up to them to battle corporate, or at least that was my experience for complaining last year.

        It was much better before. I remember years ago (like 10 years ago) I complained about the ingredients, an area manager called to understand the issue, he apologised and said mention his name to get a free one.

        Didn't have to deal with the franchisee, who are tend to be defensive rude when handling complains.

    These Subway deals are rubbish.

    Every time there is a promo I can never use it at any of the Subway Franchises near my home or work.

    The staff there always say we aren't accepting those promos here.

    I went to a store recently around 7:30 PM and it appears the staff member was asleep at the back!

    The delivery driver order system was ringing and ringing when I arrived and there was no one on the counter.

    I lined up and waited thinking someone would come out soon. Soon there were three other walk in customers waiting as well.

    After about 3 minutes, the two seated customers who were eating an earlier order started laughing (as the delivery order thing had been ringing for long before our arrival?) and started shouting “you have customers!”

    I started yelling “hello” and after half a minute, a sleepy/confused staff member came out and started to serve us. She was stressed with four customers and the delivery driver then arriving (she fobbed him off saying he had to wait as there was no one to do his order).

    Lucky for her a second staff member arrived back in the store from a break or something soon after.

    I chose not to complain as hey, we are/were all young and sleepy sometime in our lives and I didn’t want her sacked over waiting a couple of extra minutes, and it was a fun story to tell my son when I got home with our dinner.

    Subway has gone downhill for many years now. Around the time they changed/removed some of the most wanted ingredients. Coupled with staff shortages, I dont see Subway lasting much longer in the Australian market. A couple of stores near me have already shutdown due to these factors.

        No you dont. Try and apply the offer online for the store you want to buy at. The offer will either apply or not depending on whether the store is accepting it or not.

        Same issue, tried at 2 different stores as well in the app. Tried both adding the voucher before the sub and drink and after adding the sub and drink, neither worked. In the end I walked to one of them hoping it would work and luckily it did when they scanned it - I checked before I ordered because I have been caught out on the same deal before, I told them I didn't want the sub that time and they called a manager and gave me the drink for free.

          I tried for today's snack offer and I was able it to to apply by initially removing the offer from the cart, then with the snack+item, reapply it from the offers page, and it was then 'offer applied'.

          So in short add the offer after the free item is in your cart, if the offer is already applied, remove it, add the free items and re-add the offer.

          i got stung a bit on it
          my local is doing 2 footlongs for $20 after 6pm ($3.40 saving)
          so that deal was negated on receipt by the "free" 600coke which costs $3.95

          means i actually paid 55c for the drink ..

            These deals aren't there best, no point unless you were going to go there anyway.

              yeah i was kiinda pissed, but after calculating aint horrible at all.

              i had $4credit expiring Nov so placed pre-order for Saturday, went there yesterday and was confused about the triple rewards if i wanted to buy couple subs on the spot, but were a few ppl in line so cbf, all worked out.. ahah

    yeah nothing in app or came up when I bought lunch and scanned my card code. Staff weren't aware of the deal. Plenty of signs for the sink a sub thing though.

    The deal's ok but how the app and stores are managing the deal is bad!
    I changed 4 different stores on the app and none of them show the offer! Painful!

    Not sure if people were able to claim it without seeing the offer appear on the app.

      It probably means the stores aren't participating. You won't be able to get any of the deals from those store most likely, unless any change their minds about being part of the promotion.

Once I showed them the promo banner in the app and then the list of the deals/days on this OP they surprisingly offered to honor the deal!
