    Over 300 dollars import charges.

    • +17

This is included in the price listed in title.

    • I don't know if you know this but Amazon and ebay tend to not make the customer deal with customs. they usually handle all that stuff. Unless stated otherwise.

  • +8

OLED burn-in can be a concern

    • +1

I haven't seen any burn-in from old Samsung Galaxy phones.

btw this laptop is good price even if it is FHD normal IPS screen

      • +12

Laptops are more susceptible to burn-in than phones. They display more static images like the taskbar and stay on for longer periods of being on than phones

      • my sisters and my mums phone have oled burn in but they were unaware it can occur so they turned off their screen power saving features a long time ago. if you use a screen saver and make sure to turn it off regularly it will not be a problem but thats hard for a laptop…

      • +1

I drove half an hour to buy a second hand Samsung Note 10+. When I arrived the screen had burn-in all over. The woman explained that she had bad eyesight and would have the phone brightness on max at all times.

      • My Samsung Note 9 had some of the worst screen burn in I've ever seen.

  • whats the screen refresh rate?

    • I'm assuming 60Hz, like many of gigabytes other 4K oleds.

    • +4

60hz. This laptop is more marketed towards creative professionals and not wholly suited for a gaming usecase-the legion 7i in the other deal would suit you better for cheaper.

  • +3

    Good price.

Buy it for the screen and build, do not buy it for the specs. This is not a gaming laptop.

    • depends on what games you play i guess, i reckon it'd work wonders for rpgs and slower games, but definitely not for esports

      • -4

Not just 60hz, it’s more that you cant run any games smoothly on a 4k resolution, Jarrods top end 3080ti config struggles to beat 3070 machines which don’t exactly spell great news for this sku.

        • +2

So just lower the res…? Or connect to a monitor…

          • @reloxation: 1080p gaming would still look amazing on this

          • +2

@reloxation: Underpowered gpu and sub par cooling(compared to a proper gaming laptop) cant be fixed with an external monitor. Whats the good of the internal oled screen if you bought it without using it? Again, the specs are less than what they see on the surface so a main part of this deal you are getting here is for the oled screen, otherwise it’s not as good as a deal as the legion 7i for 2k not to mention with local warranty backed by ACCC.

This laptop comes with 3070Ti 105W, it will run most of current pc games with 4K 60fps high-ultra settings just fine especially when playing with DLSS quality mode.

          I have a similar one, Aero 5 XE4 3070Ti 130W, I can play my games on 4K 60fps high-max settings and/or DLSS enabled on all games

60fps is perfectly fine with with single player/ casual gamers.

          • @thaikhoa: Im sorry but you arent playing much gpu intensive games then. This gpu is by all means lesser than a desktop 3060ti. No one would call a 3060ti a 4k gaming card. And so wouldn’t this.

            • @Brrrrt: I've been using Aero 5 XE4 comes with similar specs with this laptop model. Yes you can play most of gpu intensive games out there but not 100%. The game that I have to use 2K resolution DLSS quality to mantain 60fps is the plague tale requiem. All my games such as Final Fantasy VII Remake, Spiderman, Uncharted Legacy, Forza Horizon 5… run perfecly fine on 4K 60fps max all settings with DLSS quality.

              • -2

@thaikhoa: Anyone still having hesitation buying this, can come to my playground to test with

                https://pasteboard.co/ORFgitUq4Zxn.jpg

                :D

              • @thaikhoa: And im sorry where on earth are these games gpu intensive now? FFVII remake and spiderman were a ps4 titles ported to windows, uncharted was remastered for windows and recommended specs were a 1060, forza 5’s recommended was a 1070 and only plague tale is the only gpu intensive hardware here but that’s also the one you said youself you cant drive at 4k.

And that’s on top of the fact you have a slightly beefier gpu. Lets not kid ourselves here this card is no 4k material for actual, current gen triple a titles.

          • +1

@thaikhoa: I have Legion 5i with 3070Ti on 140W and can confirm that i am struggling to find games that run at 4K 60fps.

  • +7

I have the previous gen of this laptop (11800h with a 3060).

    The screen is mind blowing!!

The performance is everything you need for work/creative applications.

It can game in a pinch, but does better gaming with an external high refresh rate monitor… I’ve had it hooked into a 2k 165hz… and that’s really about as far as a mobile 3060 can go. I’ve also used it to power my VR setup and play Microsoft Flight Sim, in VR. It did it, with no problems.

I’ve had exactly zero OLED burn in after more than a year of nearly daily use… but I did remove all my desktop icons and install an animated desktop wallpaper.

The native game gigabyte software really sucks, but it gets the job done.

    It’s an amazing laptop.

  • how are you guys browsing the other items antoline has in their ebay store? I keep getting a "This Store has no inventory available in your location". Tried VPN, different browser (no ebay login) & different ISP. Is there something blocking it? Cheers

  • +11

I almost went half mast then saw it was US dollars then saw the oz$ then flaccid.

  • +4

i was getting excited about the price, until I saw the USD

  • This is still an incredible price.
Despite the low 60hz screen, the offset with Oled panel makes this a dream machine.
I think this is an incredible non competitive gaming machine and work/creative laptop

  • +2

This laptop looks amazing. But I have some reservations with regard to importing it. How does the warranty work?

  • Can you upgrade ram?

This would be a neat unit for music, or someone video editing.

    Isn't always about gaming.

    • +1

      Yes you can

  • Is this a better deal than the HP Victus 16” 3060 gaming laptop?

    • +5

…it’s nearly double the price mate kinda hard to say one is a better deal over the other when they are not comparable

  • +1

I would stay away from this Laptop. The max power for the GPU is set to 105W. This is pathetic. You would get similar performance in a full power (130w) 3060. A full power (140w) 3070 will blow this laptop away.

    • +6

The screen is extremely good which justifies the price.

Of course, you are still right about the underpowered gpu, just that I don’t think anyone in this comment section is willing to listen to you 😎 I got downvoted to oblivion for stating this less-than-a-desktop-3060ti is not suitable for proper 4k gaming while the guy who said ‘last gen console ported titles’ ran fine at 4k so its a good gpu got upvoted and taken as the ‘truth’ . People will only listen to what they want to hear not the objective truth.

      • I got downvoted to oblivion for stating this less-than-a-desktop-3060ti is not suitable for proper 4k gamin

Perhaps because you’re comparing a laptop GPU with desktop GPU, which isn’t a fair comparison…

        • +2

You didn’t get me mate. The context was that the other ozbargainers were saying that this card is good for running current gen titles at 4k, and I pointed out that a desktop 3060ti, a stronger card than this one is not suitable as a 4k gaming card and neither would this card thats only weaker.

          • @Brrrrt: there you go mate, an upvote from me…

i've been preaching about TGPs in other posts in the past but just stopped doing it as people tend to look at the label and jumped to conclusion too quickly such as laptop with low-powered 3080 etc.

            • @meong: Preach it brother. This is why Nvidia really should have brought back the max-q naming scheme, there is just too big a power jump between max-q and non max q cards its really not funny how brands can just trick customers under the guise of top tier specs.

              • @Brrrrt: To make things worse, it's not always easy to find the TGP info… Some manufacturers actually state it on their website… Some just dont…

          • @Brrrrt: Right. I confess I didn’t read the entire on thread on this and was just replying on what you said. But I am curious to know where you basing desktop 3060ti not being suitable for 4K gaming?

            • @MuddyClear: Basing off gamer nexus review of the founders card. Im sure you heard of them they are about the best tech review channels around. The card really struggles to hit the 60fps mark in any games he tested (esp when you take into account of 1% lows as thats the 'stutter' one will notice in gaming) at 4k, and steves already testing on older games as this review is 2 years old already. Im certain most other reviews you can find will point towards the same thing - card is just not power enough, Nvidia done their job well as always to segment the market, want 4k gaming? go a higher tiered card.

Now think back to our gimped laptop card here and you will see why this really wont run any current gen titles well at 4k unless you pull some big graphic reducing settings down or hope the game have good DLSS support.

  • good price

  • No touchscreen?

    In 2022?

    • Unfortunately if Apple can sell a tonne of laptops without touch screens…

  • How do they come up with $302 AUD import charges. If the machine is worth $1790 should be $179 AUD GST

    • +1

dont question ebay maths because what they are doing isnt maths

    • 10% gst, 5% duty

  • Dont ever try any aero series. I have bought one in 2018 and the bios is the most terrible I ever experienced.

  • +1

damn, thought it was $1,462.90 AUD, nevermind then XD

    • +1

Same… Probably best not to show foreign currency in titles.

  • 16" and Tenkeyless? Why?
